It has been almost five years since John Cotner built our home. John was wonderful to work with from beginning to end, but even more importantly, he has ALWAYS been there for us in the last five years. He has answered every text or call with any question or concern we may have had. This, to me, is a BIG thing! I have been a Realtor in the area for over 20 years. I see why John has such an excellent reputation, and I highly recommend him to anyone considering building. John is kind and genuinely cares for his clients. Long overdue review. Cotner Building did an incredible job on our home. We have been in for 4 months and absolutely love it. From the beginning John was extremely easy to work with. He was accessible, genuine, and knowledgeable. Even with several projects going on at the same time as ours, he was always quick to respond to questions, change requests, or just update us on the progress. His subs were professional, respected the job site, and met their deadlines. His job supervisor (Mike) was meticulous to detail and kept an open line of communication throughout the process. If you’re also looking to build your dream home you have to give John a call.

John Cotner is the premier builder in Nampa, Idaho! Loved working with John from the design of the house to all other aspects of building our dream home. Enjoyed working with his design team from picking paint colors to carpet, cabinets, doors etc. I would highly recommend Cotner Building Company. Honest, hard working that you can trust.

John is a stickler for detail and is well versed with ageing in place construction. His contractors and project manager are helpful to work with and are all very good craftsmen. We particularly enjoyed working with the vendors for appliances, bathroom fixtures, flooring and tile surfaces, lighting, etc. They know their products and have all the new bells and whistles that you might see on HGTV! We have a dual master suite home, which is hard to find in any market. Once you determine the plans, budgets and timeline John sticks to it! When our family and friends come for a visit their first impression when walking through the front door is WOW. That pretty much says it all.

John and Kristie Cotner have been wonderful and easy to work with, our home building process was nearly seamless. We highly recommend them!

We are on the last phase of our build. It was been easy every step of the way. John is very organized and pays attention to detail. He is easy to work with as well as his sub contractors. Living in Portland, Oregon and building in Idaho has not been an issue at all. John’s communication has been exceptional. He even set up a website where we could see the progress of the build. Cotner Building (John & Kristie) did a great job on our custom home. I can't say enough about how easy they were to work with! The build was perfectly designed, scheduled, managed, and delivered on time. They have long standing relationships with their subcontractors, in an especially aggressive housing market that type of loyalty to a builder speaks volumes, and we benefited from the high quality of their workmanship. This is the third home we've built, but the first with Cotner Building. It was a fantastic experience with an outstanding home that exceeded all of our expectations.
