Desert Earth and Wood recently completed a remodel of one of the apartments in my duplex and they did such a great job that I’m for sure going to have them do the other unit, and the outside. The project went very smoothly and finished in time and very close to the estimate! Which was great considering the age and the shape that the apartment was in. Also, the crew worked hard, and were very skilled, polite, and professional. It came out beautifully, and my friend who is a property manager told me that I will have no trouble renting it! Our house remodel/addition was our second and biggest project with DEW. Even before and during Covid, they worked closely with us guiding us through the design process to make decisions which met our goals. Adding a 2 story addition which expanded our small kitchen and loft was a lengthy and complicated process, but the design met our goals of giving us a true 3rd bedroom/bath and a "daily use" dining room. Both were designed to take advantage of the mountain views. The kitchen, laundry, and two other bathrooms got a major update as well. The crew paid attention to detail and were respectful of the fact our family was still living in the home. I loved the fact they put up partitions so we still had a bit of private space. We only had to move out for 2 weeks in June due to the fact they had to turn off the AC during that time. We highly recommend Desert Earth and Wood to make your vision a reality!

Desert Earth and Wood completed a major reconstruction of my outside deck. This deck stretches across more than 50 feet of the outside of my home on my second story and provides structural support to my roof. Needless to say it was a huge project. This included reframing, new stucco, new electrical for lighting, railing, and installation of timber tech decking. They kept me fully informed throughout the entire job, assisted in design choices, stayed within my budget and met agreed upon timelines. Their craftsmanship throughout the entire project was superior. This is a company that takes great pride in their work and will go above and beyond to insure the job is properly completed. I will have no hesitation in using them again for other home remodeling projects.

On a small, but challenging remodel of several spaces, but primarily a complete master bathroom renovation, Tim, Jain and the entire crew performed professionally and with good cheer. When encountering unexpected issues, common in remodels, those issues and corresponding options were discussed and resolved in a timely and transparent manner. Creative solutions were easy to "toss around" with Tim and Jain for determination of the best path forward. The quality of work and end result was superior. Tim and Jain are down to earth professionals and is was a pleasure working with them and their employees. This, our first project working together was a great experience. Almost as if we had been working together for years. Their knowledge and expertise in custom home building was very apparent as we progressed through this project. Construction jobs are rarely perfect so when an issue came up it was nice to have a project manager on site to take care of everything. We hope to work with Desert Earth and Wood on many future projects.

I've worked with Tim Barrett of Desert Earth & Wood on numerous occasions. Among the items the they have built for me areas follows: A large redwood deck, that at its edge was approx. 13 feet off the ground. A porch roof extension that jutted in a curve (including a curved fascia. Several free-standing wooden ramadas and pergolas. A couple of cedar fences. Work was always completed in a timely manner and with the workers being knowledgeable and friendly.

We contracted Desert Earth & Wood to build a custom home for us on a 3 acre parcel of land near Saguaro National Park West. The home was to include energy efficient materials and plan with additional but separate living space for future guests and/or relatives. Tim Barrett had originally lived down the road from our property so designed the house to blend in with the desert landscape. Desert Earth & Wood has a small but very knowledgeable crew in all aspects of residential construction. Construction was completed on time. Many suggestions were contributed by Jane Barrett that added many aesthetic qualities to the house without adding costs. Since we resided out of town we were able to keep up on a weekly basis with construction progress as photos were posted on their website. There was constant e-mail communication between Desert Earth and us throughout the entire building experience. The crew were always friendly and more than willing to show us around when we would show up. Attention to detail and simple to understand explanations of the "workings" of the house (radiant heated floor, tankless water heater, conditioned attic and outdoor lighting setups) were always forthcoming. We would highly recommend them for any construction project; large or small.

Over a six month period, Tim Barrett and his solid, professional team at Desert Earth and Wood have carried out a number of small, medium and large renovation and maintenance jobs at our Tucson home. These have included: - shoring up our paved drive and stabilization of the embankment to prevent further washout from monsoons; - the installation of gorgeous driveway/path lighting; - the construction of Cantera stone access steps to the pool equipment enclosure to match the wider paved area; - the removal of carpeting and installation of bamboo flooring in our two guest bedrooms; - the replacement and upgrade of our automated garage door; - a number of minor interior plumbing, electrical and millwork jobs. In all of the above work, Desert Earth and Wood did a great job, with close attention to customer satisfaction. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Tim and his team for any construction and maintenance requirements.

Desert Earth and Wood is an excellent company to work with. They built my new house starting with working up the plans all the way through completion. Their attention to detail was fantastic. I wanted an energy efficient and environmentally friendly home and that is what they gave me - from the radiant heated floors to the ICF walls to the metal roof. I've been in my new house for a year and a half and I am just as happy as the day I moved in. The owners were very easy to work with and the crew was great. The kitchen design and execution is just what I wanted and so convenient. I love the curbless shower with the beautiful tile work. They angled the house to take the most advantage of the mountain views that I enjoy every day. In addition to building my new house they have come to my rescue and done a great remodel job on my 112 year old previous house that is now a rental. When I need anything Desert Earth and Wood is there for me.

As a newcomer in Tucson, I needed someone to do some immediate repairs during the monsoon season. I was so relieved to find Desert, Earth, and Wood.
