We hired Roger and his crew to remodel 2 bathrooms in our new home. Roger collaborated with us to conceptualize new space plans for the bathrooms that improved the flow of the home and brought the dated bathrooms into the 21st century. His main crew are excellent craftsmen. His subcontractors for electrical, plumbing, glass installation, windows, etc. were timely and professional. And our job completed on schedule and on budget. We now have 2 amazing bathrooms. The quality of his construction is excellent. We know this because we hired Roger five years ago to remodel 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, adding square footage to our former Los Angeles home. The same crew did the work on time and on budget back then as well, and the remodel held up beautifully over the years, adding value to our home. When we began work with Roger Perron, the plan was to do a complete remodel of our master bath and kitchen. Little did we know that Roger would make the process, which we had dreaded, so smooth and the results so spectacular, that we essentially remodeled our entire house, including the demo and remodel of three additional bathrooms, while living here with our Akita puppy the whole time. Roger is an awesome contractor — honest, knowledgeable, affable, and conscientious. He takes complete responsibility and is readily available. With Roger Perron's imaginative and functional design, we now have a beautiful new back patio and arbor and countless other features throughout the house, especially in the gorgeous new master bath and kitchen. What Roger brought to the table was an outstanding design perspective in addition to decades of experience in construction. This project has given us all new systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC -- resulting in a drop in insurance costs), new appliances (many Viking built-ins), added the master bedroom, its walk-in closet and master bath, completely renovated, enlarged and relocated the other two bathrooms and completely modernized the kitchen (going down to the studs and adding a breakfast nook and laundry room), replaced the old cracked masonry chimney with a modern flue so that the fireplace can be used again, and much, much more. At the presentation of the final design plans, Roger provided us with a detailed, highly professional analysis of each part of the work to be done and the cost of each part. We plan to live in this home for the rest of our lives and my wife especially wanted this to be our dream home. We have been delighted with the results. Roger's architects and engineers were most skillful at negotiating the complex permitting process and committee approval hearings which are especially complicated in our city. On the construction end, Roger has a most highly skilled and delightful staff and has developed a long term relationship with the best group of subcontractors I have ever seen. This is truly our dream house and we want to thank Roger ever so much for making it a reality.

I have been working with Roger for several years and several projects. I can tell people that Roger is an absolute artist! We are happy to write this review that highly recommends Roger Perron’s design and construction services. As was promised, the new wing of our home was completed to our satisfaction – on time and on budget. Recently visitors have remarked about the quality of Roger’s work and seem quite amazed when we tell them that we encountered virtually no significant problems while the project was underway. Apparently, people we know have not had the good fortune of working with professionals as skilled and as courteous as you and your team of craftsmen.

Roger Perron Design was a great low key professional guy and company to work with. We fell in love with his employees who were always trying their hardest to do a great job and make remodeling as painless as possible. Roger brought great ideas to us for the designs, brought in professional companies that always got the job done well. He integrated our ideas, wants and products I purchased with nary a problem each time. He even went overboard on helping me with a complicated floor heating set up that was uncommon to the States. Roger uses a computer program and coupled with his years of experience, gets your estimate correct, no "guesstimates" here! You will always know how much a change order is before the execution of any changes you are making to your original plan/contract....because if you have ever done a remodel or build you know those changes, small or large, that you want to make can add up quickly if you aren't careful when remodeling or building can end up being budget busters. So its always nice to know ahead of time. The price always seems high when you first look at it but when you see the itemized cost breakdowns and the experience of no hassle on time completion, I will always give Roger a call, and I often recommend him to everyone, always well worth the cost. We used Roger to build additions, remodels and add a whole new wing to 2 separate houses. How many times do you hear someone say they hired a contractor more than twice? That's a rare statement and it speaks volumes for the trust we have in Roger and his crew.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Roger and found him to be very talented, extremely professional, and personable. He cares about the project, is attentive to the client's wishes, and completes the the project in a timely manner.

Roger Perron is one of the best General Contractors I have had the privilege of working with. I am an old school Roofing Contractor who values honesty and quality workmanship in what I do. Roger is one of the few General Contractors in southern California who also has those traits. I have seen his work and the end products are truly outstanding. If you are looing for a contractor who is honest and has all of the skills and crews needed to really build exactly what you are looking for - then Roger is the contractor for you. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I don't do that very often at all in the Southern California market.

Los Angeles is a place, like many others, where it is almost impossible to find professionals, especially contractors, who are caring, reliable, honest, and especially, punctual. Nothing, it seems, is ever done right the first time or when promised. Roger Perron is an exception. Our kitchen was done beautifully by Roger and his craftsmen and became the central selling point in our easy search for a new tenant. The carpenter became ill with the flu and delayed the job four days and even so the work was completed a day ahead of schedule – something unheard of these days. Roger’s inputs and suggestions were innovative and clever and we followed many of them. Any minor errors were taken care of immediately and with good cheer and with Roger assuming the cost. On the few occasions where unseen complications arose, Roger presented us with the alternatives and never once pressured us into incurring additional expense. Some parts of our renovation job in other parts of the house were handled by people to whom we subcontracted by ourselves. Do we wish we had let Roger handle it all! What a pain! Anything which Roger handled was done right the first time or his people corrected it immediately. The others whom we hired on our own did not work anywhere near as well. The time, trouble, frustration and stress which he saved us was invaluable. The quality of the work and of the materials were top-notch. He is a man of ethics, caring, straightforwardness and good humor. We have recommended him to a half dozen of our friends already. If this review seems too good to be believed, we can only say that we had never met Roger before he gave us the estimate and that our feelings are for real. You can’t afford a cheaper contractor. We would never even consider another contractor the next time we need work done.

We are very pleased with the home you built for us. Even though we saw it happening, it is hard to believe it is the same location as the old house. Your design ideas have proven to be right on. Even with the surprises we encountered during the remodel, you kept the project on schedule and completed it within the expected time frame. This reliability was exhibited through the entire project. You always did what you said you would do, when you said you would do it. When an unexpected problem was encountered, you found a fair and expedient solution. We may have been able to get a cheaper job, but not at the level of quality and value that we are now enjoying. We wish to express our sincere gratitude for Roger Perron’s services related to the remodeling of our home. Our recently completed second project, the master bedroom and bathroom, hallway and guest room, came out great and we are thoroughly enjoying it. When we met with Roger in 2007 to discuss our first project, a remodel of our kitchen, laundry room and entry, we had met with several contractors. We didn’t plan on hiring an architect, just a contractor. His personal design expertise was a real bonus and we could tell from our first meeting that he brought much more to the table than the others. What we didn’t know was how great his workmen were as well. We feel so fortunate, as most of the time you hear about construction "horror stories". Roger and his team always kept us up to date and there was hardly a day when someone wasn’t at the house working. The team is trustworthy and competent, and we could always reach Roger when needed. For these reasons, we were very comfortable putting our second project in his hands. We would not hesitate to recommend Roger for any remodel or construction project. We thank him for making our home beautiful.

We have been enjoying our new room and would like to commend Roger Perron and his staff for the fine work they did. We were relieved to find Roger after interviewing several other contractors. We heard of the major headaches and delays that others had experienced with their contractors. From the start Roger never made us feel that would happen. We have truly enjoyed our expanded and remodeled-from-scratch master bath, as well as our greatly enlarged study-media room-library. Roger Perron’s design ideas helped tremendously; there is almost nothing we have found that we would change. The stepladder to the attic was a nice add-on, as was moving the heater to the attic and replacing the old, worn-out air-conditioning system. Roger not only performed beyond expectations, including completing everything within the time frame we requested (which was, admittedly, tight), but also returned without question to deal with the inevitable minor details that can be missed on such a project. Roger’s employees responded quickly to our questions, were extremely courteous and careful to protect everything they were not working on. They performed beautiful work, which we will always appreciate. It all ended up well worth the investment!

We first worked with Roger Perron about 10 years ago and found the entire experience to be a positive one. So last year when we were faced with a complete kitchen remodel, Roger Perron Design and Construction was the only firm we called. Roger listened to our needs and our ideas and came up with a design that was uniquely us while respecting our budget. RE: Home remodel of interior and exterior. The interior project consisted of remodeling kitchen-family room with newly designed lighted ceiling,ceramic tile flooring, entertainment center and lighting. The living room-dining room with newly designed ceiling and lighting with an etched glass interior window divider. Built in lighted hutch in dining room. Front door entry way and hall way, and a complete remodel of bathroom. All hard wood floors were refinished, and interior of home painted. The exterior project consisted of re-designing front of home, re-locating the front door entrance, construction of new front porch area, replacement of windows, screens and installed Bahamian Shutters. Exterior lighting with lamp post at drive way entrance. Patio deck installed at the rear of the house. Rain gutters and down spouts installed all around the house and garage. House and garage painted. By Roger Perron staying in contact and following through on a daily basis was quite assuring the job was moving along on schedule. All employees were courteous and neat, cleaning up as they progressed. Also they were courteous to neighbors regarding noise and dust trying not to disturb them. Favorable comments came from friends and neighbors who admired the finished project The confidence Roger Perron has in experience, knowledge and design has given me the property owner, complete satisfaction.

Four years ago we had the great good fortune to hire Roger Perron to remodel our 1924 bungalow-style home. What an amazing experience that turned out to be! We went to a couple of Roger's works-in-progress to get a sense of his work (other than in the most-impressive photos of what he had done for other homes). We knew a remodel would be a difficult emotional journey, but Roger was there with us through every near-meltdown. He had ALL our concerns under control. His work was TIMELY and incredibly meticulous. Roger's people took our home down to bare studs and did a 'sow's-ear to silk-purse' transformation. Roger was very professional and did a wonderful job designing and constructing our new kitchen and laundry room. We had a limited space and he made it all work. The workmanship was top notch and his people were considerate, courteous, experienced and a pleasure during the construction. The project finished very close to our projected completion date and we stayed within the anticipated budget. What made the difference for us was that Roger was available to tackle any thing that came up from beginning to end. His attention to the details was a huge plus as well.

We had two projects, actually, but slightly overlapping: Project 1. Conversion of single garage bay and abutting half-bath and wet bar area into an elder-friendly living space with en-suite/adjacent full bath and walk-up drinks/coffee bar inside family room. Project 2 (multiple areas). Remodeling of master bath and adjacent dressing area double vanity, remodel of guest bath, and remodel outdated partially non-functional kitchen. The house in which these projects were done was built in 1980, and almost nothing inside it had been updated since that time. Any work that had been done, had been done "on the cheap" and probably done by the former and only owner. Suffice it to say, he was no carpenter or tile-layer. When we started looking for a contractor, we interviewed several, whom we met at a Home & Garden Show in Los Angeles. We interviewed three companies from this show; would have interviewed four, but one didn't even show up. The group we interviewed included Roger's company. We hired Roger Perron Design & Construction because he was professional, personable and strait forward in communication. When we interviewed him, we developed a trust level almost immediately. His work philosophy is to do things "by the book"; everything was properly permitted, inspected on schedule, and filed with the appropriate city departments. Nothing was done by a shortcut, and the work quality was first-rate. Pricing not the cheapest, but fair and competitive, and I got a better job than if I'd gone with someone trying to sell me on discounts alone. Roger came to our home, listened, asked questions, discussed, measured the spaces in question and made notes about everything. He then quoted a price for a preliminary design study to outline the changes we were contemplating, and told us when he could bring it back. We could pay a portion of it "now" and the rest when the plan was delivered and reviewed. It was at that point I knew he was a pro. A true professional doesn't have to "give away" freebies to attract business, because he has a steady stream of people waiting to use his services. We hired him on the spot. The review notebook sent earlier from his company had half a ream of letters of thanks and recommendation from satisfied and happy clients—with names and addresses, too —several of them with multiple projects over time, as we also did. The garage conversion project was completed near the end of 2012. Our remaining remodel projects began just before the first project ended, and they were finished in the Spring of 2013. As with all projects, things are discovered during the process that weren't anticipated or known about. When something came up, Roger would meet with us to discuss various options about how to proceed and allow us to decide what we wanted to do. At no time was there ever a "hidden" or "unknown expense" that somehow just "popped up". Since I work out of a home office/studio, and was living in the house during the entire project, I was present throughout the entire demolition/construction process and observed it first-hand. I got to know Roger's regular employees and several sub-contractors on a first-name basis, and observed just how in-depth and thorough they were in performing their varied professional services. Living in the house while all this was going on was a bit of a bother, but Roger's crew and sub-contractors were courteous, respectful and understanding. The fact that the work began promptly at 7:00 am every day was easy to plan around; I could almost set my watch to Roger's foreman ringing the doorbell at 7:00. Whenever they said they'd be there, they were there. If there was a traffic snag or a delay in arrival to pick up supplies, I'd get a call on my cell phone to alert me. This applied to the sub-contractors as well; they were dependable and thorough, and rightly, proud of their work. Based on their professionalism and quality, they had earned a place doing work for Roger, and they jealously guarded keeping that privilege. My wife and I have several friends with construction horror stories which we have heard, and which they unloaded in nauseating detail. With Roger's company, there are no horror stories; just the feeling of grateful satisfaction of living in a beautiful space built around our expressed needs, and in which everything works as anticipated, fulfilling a design with both functionality and beauty in mind. We couldn't be happier. Dates below are too restrictive. Project 1 started approx. June/July 2012—ended Nov/Dec 2012. Project 2 started approx. Oct/Nov 2012—ended April/May 2013.

I've used Roger Perron for over 25 years for every single remodel project I've done on my house. I think he walks on water. Roger is always on time, meticulous about detail, has a great design sense, and is a pleasure to work with. All of his subcontractors have been with him for years and are highly skilled. They also work together extremely well. He does a great job scheduling the subs so that there isn't any wasted time on the job. Over the years he has completely remodeled my kitchen and den after a fire, redone my garage, turned an attic space into a lovely guest room, redone all my bathrooms, replaced my deck, fixed a major drainage problem in my back yard, bolted our old house to its foundation, and replaced the roof. Every single job has been well done and completed in a timely fashion. This past year we remodeled the upstairs bathroom and created a study/workspace for me in our den including a gorgeous custom desk that I designed and his carpenter created. In addition, he completely remodeled a second home that we inherited and did a fabulous job. I couldn't be happier with his work and recommend him without reservation.

We had a major reconstruction project completed in 2005 by Roger Perron which involved designing a two unit condo into one single home. We were very pleased with the work and results. We enjoyed working with Roger and his company and crew so we have hired them to complete an extensive upgrade which involves a total remodel of our master suite, replacing all exterior doors (there are 11), designing and building a bar, a wine/storage closet, a rooftop BBQ/dining area, a handmade tile fountain, new furnace/air conditioning/water heaters and new wiring for upgraded technology and lighting. Work started in June, 2013 and is progressing well and there have been no major delays. This project will take several more months to complete.

Going into the construction of my new home, I heard many horror stories about working with contractors. Peoples' advice to me was "be sure you get a good contractor". I did just that. Roger and his team were simply awesome. Roger's sub-contractors were great. Their work was timely and good quality. When there were issues, and yes there are always issues, but Roger worked with me to resolve them to my satisfaction. Sometimes, I had to compromise, but the end product was great. Roger also met with me as often as necessary to ensure that the work was being done within the budget. If something was going to go beyond the budget, I knew about it. If there were savings on some items, I knew about it. The entire process from tear down to occupancy took less than one year, which was great. Most importantly, I absolutely love my new home and have Roger and his team to thank for building it.

Roger Perron's work is topnotch. The finest quality design and construction! His sub-contractors are also excellent. Very polite and personable, too. Roger's company did a $100,000.+ re-design of our kitchen/ family room. We now have a magnificent Great Room -- with a top-of-the-line kitchen, as well.
