Design Builders & Remodeling is a full service residential design build firm headquartered in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The firm has proudly serviced discriminating buyers in Fairfield, Westchester, Litchfield and Putnam Counties since 1986. The company was started by David H. Adams who continues as the President and running daily operations. David envisioned a company that would provide a comprehensive offering of services that bring together the professional design, budgeting and construction of new homes, additions, kitchens and remodeling projects. David is one of a handful of remodeling professionals in Fairfield County, Connecticut that has earned the Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The CGR designation is an exclusive, professional designation that emphasizes business management as the foundation of a successful remodeling company. The CGP is a professional designation identifying the individual as having the knowledge and training of the best strategies for incorporating green building principles into the home. Design Builders & Remodeling is an active member of The (HBRA) Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Fairfield County and the (NKBA) National Kitchen & Bath Association to ensure we are up to date on the latest industry trends and support our respective industry in an effort to better serve our clients. We used Design Builders for our master bathroom remodel. Hilary was our designer and she was fantastic. She really listened to what we wanted and presented design ideas that made sense for us. The work was completed on time and definitely met our expectations. Everyone who worked in our home was very good, knowledgeable and the house remained as clean as possible during a remodel! There were a few issues along the way (as is always the case) but the DB team managed them well and everything was finished on time. Their price was a little high but they came in on budget. We would recommend Design Builders, especially Hilary as a designer.

We have used Design Builders for two major renovations. The first one in 2000 included two additions (family room with mudroom, guest room and bath, and a master bath with basement space underneath), new roof and siding, central air, a new front and side porch, and various other fixes on our circa 1960 ranch. In 8 months, we were able to turn our cookie cutter house into the home we always wanted for our family. We are still thrilled with the finished product. In 2013 we decided it was finally time for a kitchen remodel. There really wasn't any reason to call anyone else. Design Builders came in with a solution that we didn't think was feasible, but turned out to be perfect. We now have a beautiful and totally functional new kitchen that has become my favorite room in the house. We also had them redo our hardwood floors in the dining room, living room and hallway to match the new kitchen hardwood with beautiful results. Both renovations went smoothly, kept on budget (except for changes we requested) and were completed with the minimum amount of stress or drama. Considering all the nightmare stories of home renovations, thanks to the great work of Design Builders, ours were almost a breeze. They are true professionals and the quality of their work is great. They were able to transform our vision into a beautiful reality. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a full service design and remodeling company for any size job.

We completely renovated our kitchen and family room. They provided great design ideas that transformed our space. Costs were transparent and the project timeline was followed closely - so we knew what was happening and when. Our site manager was fantastic and it was nice having one point person to handle all questions and concerns. Questions were quickly answered and our satisfaction was their top priority. They guarantee their work for a year after the project - so as the house settled a bit after completion - they were over right away to take care of it. We happily recommend them to anyone looking to renovate a space!

Design Builders & Remodeling did an "extreme home makeover" on our lake house in the winter of 2013. They turned our 3BR cedar shingle ranch into a 2-story, 5BR modern showplace. The process of working with them was great. They listened to our input and came up with a design that was exactly what we wanted. The company has a lot of different capabilities (architecture, design, kitchens, selections, etc.) under one roof. Then, they were able to obtain all of the necessary engineering drawings and building permits. When the actual building began, their workmanship was excellent. Our site manager was wonderful. He was thorough, efficient, and very easy to work with. When the job was completed (on time and on budget), the final product was beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend them for any project, large or small.

Commented: The floor tile is beautiful.Many places sell this tile now and you can order it directly too if you are working with a designer they wont have any problem finding it. Key is to seal it well. Google Cement tiles
