We are repeat customers; DiGiacomo Homes has created beautiful new spaces in both our family home and empty-nester condo. Gigi’s design ideas are, quite simply, gorgeous! Rocky found an elegant and efficient solution to an issue in the fundamental construction of our condo that we thought would prevent us from the update we wanted. The process was smooth from start to finish thanks in large part to frequent and clear communication, with thoughtful scheduling of the steps so completion was remarkably fast given the scope of our project. We feel like we are living in a brand-new home!

My 75-year-old mother, a Twin Cities resident, needed help remodeling her 1950s home. The home had not seen any updating since the 1970s! My husband and I live in Chicago but found DiGiacomo Homes on line and felt comfortable hiring them after interviewing several firms. We couldn’t be more pleased. They didn’t go overboard but made appropriate suggestions that respected our budget and brought all spaces into the modern age! Gigi and Rocky were great communicators - sending us photos and keeping us updated throughout the remodel process. They were very considerate of our needs, wrapped up on schedule, and did a beautiful job with all of the spaces. The house looks adorable and we couldn't be more please with their work!

I have used Gigi as my interior designer twice now- both times I provided her with a Pinterest/Houzz board for inspiration and she took it and ran with it. She allowed me to be as hands on/off as I wanted (providing me with multiple options so all I had to do was pick between them). She also stayed within my budget and helped me decide which items were worth splurging on. We've used DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation in the past for various projects and because of their outstanding service and quality of work used them again recently for a new kitchen renovation along with updating interiors, replacing the primary bathtub and reworking a catchall room with new cabinetry. We hired DiGiacomo Homes after experiencing difficulty finding a contractor who wouldn’t make us wait over 12 months to complete the project. Our family is growing and the layout of our upstairs just didn’t fit the way we live. Rocky and Gigi came up with an excellent idea for a separate study for my husband, a playroom for our grandchildren (which is AWESOME! Climbing wall, swing, chalk board, shelving/book shelves, and Wheels on the Bus wallpaper —so cute), and a bedroom/guest suite that includes a bar/kitchenettes and work space for remote workers. Gigi did a beautiful job with coordinating the decor with our preferences and we love it. Rocky and Gigi have transformed 3 bedrooms that weren’t being used to an appealing space for our family and everyone who visits.

We hired DiGiacomo Homes to do a full master bath renovation as we needed to make our bathroom more accessible due to a temporary disability. From the beginning, we felt like Rocky & Gigi understood what our needs and aesthetic were and worked hard to bring them to life. Gigi's design help was invaluable, presenting us with options (but not so many as to make decisions hard). Rocky was on site most days and doing some of the work himself, making us feel very confident that there was good oversight. The result -- a bright, beautiful, modern new master bathroom with a very large, wheelchair-accessible shower with grab bars and shower bench; a new Japanese bidet toilet; and an enlarged closet big enough to accommodate a walker and a bench -- was even better than we had hoped for! In addition, the project was finished more quickly than Rocky had told us, allowing us use of the bath & closet much sooner than we had expected. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Rocky & Gigi and would definitely hire them again!

I hired DiGiacomo Homes for some renovation after failing to find a contractor willing and available to do the work for the past 18 months. I actually have been stressing about the deteriorating foundation situation over the past 2 decades with my back entryway/pantry as it was falling away from the house. I've lived in my 114-year old home for 45 years and know quite a bit about its history and evolution from previous owners. Rocky DiGiacomo's approach was can-do,—with total-confidence to accomplish the repair—jack up the structure, dig out the old foundation, and create real footings below the frost line. I told him I was impressed with his management of the crew and what appeared to me to be maximum productivity. Rocky: the ever-energetic sparkplug and magician! He finished this project ahead of schedule, and exactly on budget. I feel very happy now, and have peace of mind.

Gigi and Rocky were able to meet our changing requests in the design phase of the plan, moving from a surface remodel to a more extensive renovation of a 1990's kitchen, while staying within our budget requests. Rocky's kitchen design allowed the kitchen to be contemporary but still fit with the remainder of the house. Gigi had a wonderful sense of color combinations. All of the subs arrived on time and cleaned up when they left. We were given weekly progress updates. The completion date was 2 weeks ahead of schedule and just as the Covid lockdown commenced. Our newly bright and organized kitchen has been well used as we cook and bake at home daily.

I have used DiGiacomo for three home projects ranging from full basement remodel to small interior repair jobs. They are my go-to contractor and are stellar with work quality, communication, and sound advice. It’s good to find a builder I can fully trust!

We did a substantial remodel to living spaces. Services included both design /build and interior design. The process went very smoothly, communication was always good, and we are thrilled with the results.

Rocky and Gigi were fantastic from day one. They set realistic expectations and delivered on them. They were accommodating when we expanded the project a couple of times and always let us know if there were any implications to the overall project so we could make a well-informed decision. There was only 1 room in our house that was not impacted with the renovation. Major work included gutting kitchen (moved some walls and windows as part of this), basement and master bath. This was a 4month project and Rocky and Gigi set us up well with a temporary kitchen during this time. From a construction standpoint, Rocky was extremely responsive and respectful of what worked and didn't work for scheduling. He was also cognizant of costs and would offer multiple options when faced with a decision. Gigi was great on the design end. She is very particular on color tone, aesthetics and optionality - this was such a plus for us. There was no pressure to do any part of the project "a certain way" - we felt in control the entire time. I would recommend DiGiacomo Homes to anyone. Not only do we have a beautiful transformed home, we gained new friends in the process.

Rocky and Gigi remodeled our kitchen as well as added new trim work on our main floor. Our main priority was having high quality workmanship and they exceeded our expectations! The quality of their work is superb and they are completely trustworthy and honest. Not only are they a pleasure to work with, they bring in top quality subs who also have excellent craftsmanship. The project was completed on time and on budget. We’re very pleased with the end result - I highly recommend!

From the first time we met Rocky & Gigi, we knew we wanted to work with them. They are both easy to talk to and great people. They truly listen to your goals, get input on your style and turn it into a fantastic plan and design. You can tell that their objective is to produce high quality renovations and designs that leave their clients happy. They certainly did that for us. For our kitchen remodel, we had a tight space that we wanted to open to the dining area. With Rocky’s intelligent layout, he made use of every inch of space and we ended up with more storage, even after losing a wall! Gigi’s great style tied all our spaces together and brought a wonderful level of sophistication to our house, while still making it work for a household with young kids. Throughout the whole construction process, Rocky communicated daily about what was happening and brought us in right away when there were any changes and decisions that needed to be made. Cost considerations were always well communicated and we always felt completely informed and in control of the project. The project was finished ahead of the initial schedule laid out. Rocky’s follow up since construction completed has also been phenomenal. He works very hard to make sure everything is right. We absolutely love our new space and are enjoying cooking and entertaining even more often to show it all off. There have been a lot of “Wow”, “Stunning”, and “Amazing” comments, especially for those who saw the before & after. We cannot recommend DiGiacomo Homes more strongly. Rocky and Gigi recently remodeled our master bathroom. Rocky had great suggestions to increase the functionality of the bathroom without changing the footprint. The design choices from Gigi were impeccable. Rocky and Gigi were excellent at communication, working with both of them was easy and fun. We love the results!

We are absolutely thrilled with our newly remodeled lake home! DiGiacomo Homes embraced the challenges of keeping within the original footprint, while dealing with additional complexities of relocating the staircase and incorporating a geothermal heating system. Our neighbors used DiGiacomo Homes for a major renovation project and we loved the design work. So when we wanted to give our 18 year home a little facelift, we turned to Gigi DiGiacomo for her keen sense of design. She picked out paint colors, blinds, and tile that gave us an updated look, yet blended in with existing cabinets, stonework, and flooring. I was unsure of the entire remodeling idea, after having heard so many horror stories from others. Rocky and Gigi were amazing, from start to finish. They were very sensitive to our needs, being that we were still living in the house, and kept us updated on anything going on for each day. Honestly these folks are the best.

Rocky and Gigi guided us through the remodel of our newly purchased townhome. They initially met with us to hear our thoughts, wants, and needs. They proceeded to present us with a beautiful new vision of the space. The plan showed that they listened carefully to us and were able to combine their expertise and knowledge of materials, colors and style with our input and the physical layout of our space and its givens. They thought of several important factors in the design that we had not initially noticed or considered. Rocky was efficient and communicated well when he found the inevitable surprises that appear in this type of project, coming up with creative solutions that didn't break our budget. Gigi is thorough, detailed, knowledgeable, and creative. She let us make the final design decisions but gave us guidance when we requested it. Gigi was also incredibly helpful with selecting furnishings to finish the remodel. We love our new home!

We recently remodeled the basement of our 1920s built Minneapolis home. Our experience with DiGiacomo from beginning to end was excellent. The DiGiacomos provided clear expectations and great communication throughout the project. Rocky kept the construction on track and let us know each week what was going to happen. Gigi made the design selection for fixtures, paint, and lighting painless and efficient. The project actually came in ahead of schedule, and the finished product was gorgeous and high-quality. I would absolutely use them for any future projects, and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

We had the best possible experience working with Rocky & Gigi on a major remodel of our kitchen & family room. We remodeled our master bedroom and bath suite starting in December of 2014. Not only did we get a terrific new master suite but Gigi suggested retiling our living room fire place. The new fireplace tile makes the whole room look fresh and perfectly relates to the style and age of our home. DiGiacomo Homes exceeded our expectations with their over the top service. Timelines and budgets were all spot on. Disruptions were kept to a minimum. They even found someone that would fix our toaster! We would gladly use DiGiacomo Homes again.

My house was destroyed by a fire in 2011. DiGiacomo Homes & Renovations was from the start able to make us feel exceptionally well understood, and despite our many personal family complications and deadlines was willing to work with us on specific technologies that we wanted to incorporate into our new home. They worked with us to design the house we wanted, which was built with a double-wall system for maximum energy efficiency, in-floor electric heating for comfort and geothermal conditioning of air intake (9" piping system extending 110 feet long at 7 feet underground to deliver air to the house at a standard temperature year round). Our home walls are rated at R50 and the ceiling at R60. We eliminated air conditioning and central heating. Because of the kind of construction, we qualified for double metering with Dakota County Electric Cooperative, we pay $0.04 per KWH on all heating related electric consumption. We were a difficult client to please, managing stress related to the lose of the home and the lives of three children that needed help coping with the aftermath, I knew that we could not just work with any contractor to build a custom designed and built energy efficient home that also would feel right when we moved back. From details to the whole process of building, our expectations were exceeded. DiGiacomo Homes & Renovations delivered for us a beautiful new home, completely within budget, patiently worked with us to understand our needs, they did not build us a house, they really built us a "home". We had never built a home before, and honestly, most of what we had heard from other families as we explored potential contractors were stories of frustrations and disappointments, and stories of how careful and involved we had to be to get what we wanted. We had none of that. We moved back into our home on August 1st 2012, we have been living here since, we felt right back "at home" again and although we have a lot of other issues we had to work through to make our family whole again, I can tell anyone out there evaluating a contractor for their home project that DiGiacomo Homes & Renovations for as far as we have compared them to other experiences we hear, is unmatched. We are totally impressed with the quality, professionalism, and overall ability to understand our family's point of view and work from that side to deliver great results. I don't say this superficially, I expect this home they built for us to be the place I live for the rest of my life, and I completely recommend this company.

We had Rocky and Gigi plan, design, and rebuild our kitchen and family room in our 1920's home. They also managed to create a main floor bathroom out of thin air--through their creativity and keen sense of design.--despite having very little available space. Their communication was excellent and prompt, particularly through email. We had never really done a remodeling project before, and they helped us through every step of the process. I highly recommend them!

We used DiGiacomo Homes and Renovation in our kitchen remodel, and could not be happier with the meticulous work and attention to detail! The designer put together a beautiful palette of colors and finishes that look absolutely beautiful in our home. They were always professional, proactive, and easy to get in touch with for any questions we had during the project. I have recommended them several times to our friends, and will continue to do so without any reservation. My husband I also felt completely comfortable with them working in our home - so trustworthy, which was very important to us as we were often not home during the project. Digiacomo Homes built my home. They disregarded my budget and my time frame. I requested that they not use photos of my home for advertisement - but they ignored me. The answer from them is always "it was an honest mistake" There is nothing honest about them. BEWARE

DiGiacomo homes helped my wife and I add a new master bedroom to our home, as well as add a new pantry area to the kitchen. Rocky and Gigi are very professional, and even though we did not know what to expect, were very thorough and worked with us to layout the new spaces, design finishes, closets, etc. They have great design sense, and will use top notch finishes. The project completed on time, other than weather-related issues that prevented painting from being completed before winter. They have also been diligent in helping us address some ice damming issues, well after the project was finished. If you want control over less "glamorous" aspects of a project, note that they are used to making decisions for folks who are very busy, so be sure to call this out. All in all, recommended.

We hired Rocky and Gigi to redo our kitchen (untouched since 1939 and bad for even those times). We wanted them to integrate an unusable room off the kitchen and add all the modern conveniences, yet make it feel original and flow with the rest of the house. We also asked them to turn a closet into a bathroom and make the mudroom more functional. They asked a lot of questions about us, how we use the house and how we want to use the house in the future. They got to know not only what we like, but also what we don’t. I think Gigi won my full confidence when she brought over a back splash tile that was exactly what I had envisioned in the space. We ran into a number of issues when we opened the walls and floors but they fixed them and made sure things were done correctly. The finished product far exceeded our expectations. It’s comfortable, extremely efficient and has a lot more storage, yet feels much larger. The unused room off our kitchen is now a bright breakfast nook and one of our favorite places in the house. And they did it ahead of schedule and under budget.

Rocky and Gigi are a stellar team. Our remodeled home exceeds all of our expectations. Rocky determined the appropriate scope of the project to maximize impact for dollar spent. He has a great eye for detail and was ingenious at curing aesthetically clumsy features of the home. Gigi selected a color palette and fantastic finishes to bring much needed consistency to our home's living spaces. The process itself was stress free - no cost overruns or unforeseen change orders, accurate paperwork and billing, weekly status updates and most of all, they did exactly what they said they would do. After our experience with the contractor for the exterior work on our home, I suspect those qualities are relatively hard to find in the construction industry.

Rocky and Gigi were such a pleasure to work with. They completed our extensive master suite closet/bathroom addition 2 weeks early and within the stated budget. We were warned by friends and family who had remodeled with other companies to expect any project to cost twice as much and take twice as long as quoted during the sales process. That did not occur in our case. DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation provided an accurate schedule, sent us weekly, and sometimes daily, updates, and clearly have been in this business a long time. We’ve learned that when renovating, you get what you pay for. We plan on doing future work to this house, and we will only work with DiGiacomo Homes and Renovation. We purchased a new home from Rocky DiGiacomo. It was his straightforward honesty that really won us over. My understanding from our neighbors is that Rocky was here--on site--every day of the home's construction, and that he was respectful to the surrounding residents during the process. DiGiacomo Homes has renovated our basement, which I can no longer refer to as a basement, but now call the lower level of our home, our deck and patio, which I now refer to as our outdoor room, and our master bath, which I still call the master bath, but I like soooo much better. Our new detached garage was the third project in 5 years with DiGiacomo Homes & Renovation. When we decided to replace our old garage there was no question on who to call. Every aspect of this project from the teardown to the design and building of the new garage was flawless. DiGiacomo Homes made what could have been a dull basic garage into a fabulous looking structure.
