Nathan Dishington, owner of Jensen Hus undoubtedly deserves a 5-star rating on Houzz for the orchestration and delivery of a highly technical and challenging kitchen and bath renovation. The project was multi-faceted, involving the relocation of the basement stairs, structural modifications and squaring the walls, ceilings, and floors in a 105-year-old home. No small feat! Nate was extremely responsive in project management, communicating regular updates, and coordinated seamlessly with our kitchen designer and all the trades. The result was truly spectacular. We now have a highly functioning kitchen and bath complete with a huge island and vaulted ceiling and new basement stair location. We could not be happier with this stunning transformation.

Nathan is a true professional with talent in design and construction. We are completing a whole house renovation with new floors, systems, lighting, kitchen and bathrooms. He helped us design our project inside and out, listening to our desires and taste. He has taken us from start to finish and is responsive and works to make sure we are happy with every detail. I worked with Nate and his team over 2 years on a massive renovation project. Our friends and family had to stage an intervention because all we would talk about is how much we loved our experience with Dishington Construction. Our house was cleaned as much as possible every night, and every effort was made for us to be able to function during the construction. Sub-contractors had clear instructions and procedures to follow when they had questions or encountered unforeseen problems. Nate was at the site often, solving and preventing problems. When issues arose, Nate provided several solutions based on our goals and budget and let us decide what to do. Also, there were virtually no “down days” where we were waiting for sub-contractors to finish work, as Nate had organized everything so that the project finished as scheduled. We were lucky enough that our also wonderful designer referred Nate to us, and we enthusiastically recommend Dishington Construction for any project. We will definitely be using Nate in the future.

We have undergone several construction projects on our house with various contractors and if we ever do anything else, I would go straight to Nathan Dishington. Communication is key in any project, and Nathan always responds in a timely manner to any of our questions. He is straightforward with descriptions of the work, pros and cons, and explanations of how the work will be done. Nathan finds creative solutions for tricky problems and suggests practical alternatives that were in keeping with the design-related style. I would strongly recommend Dishington Construction. From the first day of site preparation to the completion of the project, Nate demonstrated a dedication to quality work. He identified issues with my design choices if they arose, explained workarounds needed for my very old house, jumped in and corrected issues with subs (even when it would have been much easier to move on) and ensured all work was of high quality. Best of all, he finished on time and on budget.

Nathan did an excellent job on our renovations. He is responsible, professional and true to his word. He carefully protected and respected our home. We did the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and new flooring in a bedroom. It was a lot of space and about 4 months. The work was exceptional, Nate was on the job when needed and hired responsible, talented sub contractors. He was also willing to find other contractors for issues that were unforeseen. He has good ideas, listens to my ideas and I would use him again - and will be. He is very knowledgeable and a talented contractor. I have used others in the past and would not re hire them. Nate will be working with us again and again.

Nate oversaw the extensive 3 floor gut conversion of our 2 family home into a single family home, all the way from the design build phase to completion. We hired Dishington construction about 5 years ago to do are siding on our house and some deck work. The team did an amazing job on our house and they were efficient and timely in completing the job. They also went above and beyond on some of the work and stayed within budget. We would definitely rehire his group in the future to do work on our house.

I hired Nate to remodel my basement. It was a great experience. Nate and his team did an outstanding job. The quality of work exceeded my expectations. They were doing such a great job I expanded the project to include re-siding the exterior. I plan to hire Nate again this year to update my sunroom. In addition to the high quality of his work, Nate is an outstanding communicator. I was kept well informed every step of the project ..there were never any surprises.

Started with an idea, added an architect and went looking for a contractor who shared my vision. I now have a gorgeous art studio with a built in bamboo counter and storage space, incredible light and huge sliding doors. The space is magical as is the rest of the project. I live in an old house so many issues arose but they were all handled. Liked the crew, particularly the men who managed the project. Nate was aware of financial considerations and gave sound advise about when to cut corners and when going with the more expensive alternative made sense over time. It was a big, long project and I couldn't be happier.
