As a vendor for Dixon Projects, together we have worked on 100’s of projects over the past 6 years. Dixon is top notch in every possible way. Super friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional staff. They really know what it takes to successfully complete a project. I highly recommend Dixon Projects to anyone looking to complete a renovation/remodeling project.

I wish I could give Dixon 10 stars. Dixon is unmatched in quality, taste, resources, inventiveness, and professionalism. Dixon's team of in-house designers, architects, and project managers help manage their projects seamlessly and professionally. Dixon has a reputation for getting projects done on time and on budget, which in my experience with them is well deserved - our project was completed on time and on budget (NB: any item that was over their original bid, they got written authorization from us before proceeding; many of the items that cost more were due to our personal choice of materials or appliances). The resulting work was absolutely beautiful. Monique (our designer) and Mike (our PM) attended to every detail as I believe they would do with their own home - coming up with creative solutions to making the best use of our space and holding the vendors and contractors to very high standards of quality and craftsmanship. I was pregnant during the remodel, so it was paramount that they complete the project on time (before the baby came). Not only did they complete it on time, they took every step to make the process smooth and as stress free as a NYC remodel can be. Dixon is also incredibly responsive. They are far and away the most professional team we interviewed. I really can't recommend them highly enough. A year later we are dealing with some water damage to our apartment and they have jumped right back in to help with repairs - responding to our email (cry for help) within hours. High Level Summary of Work: total gut and expansion of our kitchen with top of the line appliances (wolf, miele, etc); expanding half bath to now include a shower and update fixtures/lighting and adding a large built-in medicine cabinet; adding and changing lighting throughout apartment; needed to upgrade our electrical box as a result; custom inserts in five closets, shrinking a bedroom to accommodate the larger kitchen (moving two walls); adding wrap around floating shelves from kitchen into dining room; and we explored some upgrades to our main bathroom but in the end opted out of any changes. NB: These aren't the best pictures. I'll try to update later with better shots of the kitchen, bathroom, and closets.

Megan Eisenberg at Dixon Projects is absolutely terrific. Megan ran the entire project to design and furnish our new, 10,000 sf office space in NoMad. From initial conceptualization of the space, to procuring the furnishings, to installation and final punch list. It was a Herculean effort and we could rely on Megan for all of it. She has an exceptional eye for design, detail, layout and functionality. Our employees love the new space and it functions superbly well. We highly recommend Megan and her team at Dixon Projects. You will not be disappointed.

Our fabulous team at Dixon helped us through the entire process of gut renovating an attached row house in Astoria, NY. From giving us the exact layout we needed to designing our home for us and hand holding us through every detail of the renovation, they were professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. Our project was completed on time and on budget. I would highly recommend Dixon.

Dixon Projects has been an excellent contributor to Jersey City. They’ve helped renovate a number of businesses in the area including a café, gym, and daycare. They have also completed hundreds of residential renovations throughout Jersey City. It’s always nice to see homes in our historic neighborhoods being restored and renovated while maintaining their history. Having seen many of their projects up close, I can attest to their top-notch attention to detail and craftsmanship. I highly recommend them for your renovation needs!

Dixon Projects abandoned our townhome addition/renovation project that we hired them for. In our opinion, the process of working with Dixon Projects was disastrous nearly every step of the way. Dixon was the GC on our project, and as such they oversaw all of the various moving parts of our project. After extensive delays and repeated change orders (many of which, in our opinion, were not justified as they should have been part of the project from the start, in the proposal process), we asked for more transparency into the accounting/billing process of our project. As with any project, such transparency is expected for the property owner to have clear documentation on where their money is going. Getting their detailed billing led to us realize that Dixon breached our contract by: *failing to assure appropriate insurance was obtained and remained in force throughout the project. * failing to submit payment applications in accordance with its contractual obligations (including failing to protect us as owners with appropriate retained sums) *failing to properly document and track payments *failing to properly and timely order materials that had extensive lead times (which resulted in extensive delays for our overall timeline). In the end, Dixon was over their head and abandoned our project. We were left half way through to then rebid the project, it has been a financial and emotional nightmare for us. Our project went from what was supposed to be a year to now being over two years. The way that they decided to abandon our project left us in an incredibly compromising position, I would never wish that on anyone... We have suffered immensely from having worked with Dixon Projects. I would strongly advise anyone considering them for a renovation to avoid it at all costs.

As a homeowner I have dealt with five major renovations. Without hesitation, I wish I had had the opportunity to have worked with the Dixon team (Dean, Jackie & the contractor James) on those projects. All renovations have unexpected issues and Dean responded right away to any of those challenges helping to address them quickly. As for the contractor James, I loved his sense of professionalism, his crew was top notch; I appreciated his sense of aesthetics and his ability to deal with the details that can make or break a successful renovation.

We highly recommend Dixon Projects. We hired them to handle significant renovation work in our new apartment in Tribeca, including new kitchen, plumbing, floors, closets, paint and more. We hoped that they would hire the right contractors for the various jobs, supervise and instruct them, ensure all permits and approvals were obtained and also be able to advise on architectural and interior design decisions. Dixon did all of that, consistently demonstrating high standards of service and commitment. We were particularly lucky to have Dean Marco assigned to our project as Project Manager and Nicolette Taormina as the Interior Designer. We cannot thank them enough. Dean directed the work extremely efficiently – we had a tight 90-day schedule. He resolved difficult technical issues, including some plumbing challenges, in smooth collaboration with the general contractor. Dean led flawlessly all craftsmen involved, coordinating it all. He kept us always well informed of the schedule, the issues, the strategies and the proposed solutions. He established an excellent working relationship with us, as clients, displaying interest and care for our demands; we felt that our interest was always his first priority and we had fun working with him along the way. Dean is an exceptional professional, diligent, responsive, flexible and incredibly patient. These qualities proved key throughout the process, including in our dealings with the condo management and building architect. Nicolette accompanied us all the way through in making the right decisions, challenging assumptions, offering options, discussing looks, materials, colors and furniture. She is a very solid professional, with innovative ideas and extremely resourceful. Her design ideas have guided our choices and we hope to enjoy them in the years to come. Doing renovation works is never stress free, no matter what contractors and project managers tell you. But hiring Dixon paid off in that it enabled us to execute the project in the most efficient, pleasant and reduced-stress way possible.

Claire Huygens and the whole team at Dixon deserve huge kuddos and a round of applause for making the process of building a steel deck and transforming our backyard so easy for us. Their constant professionalism made the design, permitting and construction process easy and even dare-I-say enjoyable for us as homeowners! We've done a lot of renovation to our 100+ year old home over the past decade, and this was by far the best experience we've had with any type of home renovation in Brooklyn. They provided multiple budget options, made any changes we requested in a timely fashion, and problem-solved without making anything a headache for us. Of course, there are always hiccups along the way with any large renovation project, but Claire handled everything quickly and efficiently, and we wrapped up with a minimum of fuss, mess, or stress. And we couldn't be more thrilled with the results! We have the deck and backyard of our dreams, thanks to Claire & the team at Dixon.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Dixon Projects. From the very first meeting, I felt completely supported and they truly understood my wish/vision for the renovation. My fiance and I moved out of the apartment for the duration of the renovation and I received daily email updates and photos to keep me in the loop of all progress being made in real time. I would not only recommend but certainly would enlist Dixon's services again for any future projects I have.

I cannot recommend Dixon highly enough. My wife and I were looking to convert our 2-family house into a single family, with an expanded kitchen downstairs and an open staircase looking into the living room (previously there was a wall separating the stairs from the first floor). The Dixon team, and especially Megan (our project manager) and Marybeth (our designer) were hands-on throughout the process, helping us with design, execution, and of course all the red tape that comes with a major renovation. The project included taking down two load-bearing walls and getting permits from our local municipality - things that are of course way above our pay grade. The Dixon team was methodical and patient and kept us abreast of everything that was happening. Their contractor, electrician, and plumber were all available on short notice and did great work. When we first started considering undertaking this renovation, the entire process seemed overwhelming and we couldn't imagine how it would get done or even what it would look like at the end. Not only did the Dixon team make the whole thing seem easy, but we are SO THRILLED with how everything turned out. Even four months after the completion of the project, my wife and I will periodically remark to each other how much we love our house. Kudos to the Dixon team - they are an asset to any homeowner looking for high-quality, bespoke construction services.
