We worked with Ecnomus on renovating the main floor of our century home. We were pleased from start to finish with the project- we experienced timely and frequent communication, they set realistic timeline and budget expectations and they were helpful with all decisions we needed to make pertaining to our renovation. The craftsmanship was second to none. They managed to reclaim all of the original doors and trim to make the renovated area of our home blend into the existing section of the home. They created a warm feel while keeping all the character of the old home, which we wanted. On another note, the workers cleaned the space every day, everyone was friendly (we have small children so this was a bonus), and they accomplished a lot every day which was essential to them completing the reno in good time. We would highly recommend Ecnomus and we would work with them again in a heartbeat!

Ecnomus did a smaller project then what they are used to doing for my home, and despite the scale they handled it with incredible professionalism and dedication. They were exact with their budget and timeline and were incredibly easy to work with. They are working on a much larger project for my parents home and already getting rave reviews from them. Ecnomus completed a 2 storey extension and interior renovation on our century home and we could not be happier with our finished home. The project included opening up the back of our double-brick home to build a new living room and deck on the main floor and a new bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd floor. They reconfigured the existing interior to add a mudroom and powder room, subdivided a large bedroom into two, and added additional windows to our third floor. A large-scale project for sure! From the get-go, Ecnomus' detailed quoting helped us to understand all components of our project and ensure everything had been thought through and that there would be no surprises. We worked closely with Andrew throughout the project and really valued the knowledge and recommendations he and the team shared with us, from material selections to design suggestions. What really impressed us was the initiative and new ideas they brought to the project. For example, when I said I wanted reclaimed wood benches they took the initiative to reclaim the wood from walls taken down in our own home. They suggested turning a regular flat ceiling into a cathedral style for more height, and turned an old Juliet balcony into a built-in bookcase. The team understood our vision of maintaining the character of our home and implemented that vision beautifully with such craftsmanship. We first met Andrew and the Ecnomus team when they renovated our basement as part of the HGTV 'Leave it to Bryan' series. For this project, we had to 'go with the flow' in terms of design decisions but we were consulted wherever possible and were delighted with the final results! In addition to being a true team of professionals, they were genuine, knowledgeable and dedicated people and it was pleasure to have them in our home. Our next project was our master bathroom (Indian Valley bathroom photos). Since it was our first solo renovation project, we knew we could trust Ecnomus. With excellent responsiveness and patience, we were guided through the planning and decision phases and felt like there were no silly questions. If there was anything we were unsure about, they would make sure we were 100% comfortable and happy before moving on. My wife and I just recently had Economus Construction Group do a renovation on our kitchen for the Leave it to Bryan show. Both Craig and Andrew were did excellent work and very respectful of our wishes and within our home. Their communication with us during this most hectic of times (our renovation was done just prior to Christmas), letting us know each day what would be done and any preparations we need make prior to them showing up was second to none. They set a deadline to be complete and were on time to the day. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a general contractor, and we will use them again when needed.

Economus Construction Group was responsible to renovate my kitchen. This wasnt just a facelift renovation, this was a major structural change to accomodate a large design and a very large space. My family had the pleaseure of seeing Murray, Andre and Craig on a daily basis during the process. My husband and I couldne be happier with the end result but more importanly the relationship that developed between us and Economus. They were friendly and respectful of our family, time and budget. We partnered with Ecnomus Construction Group Inc on the complete renovation of our kitchen. The project involved removal of a wall between the existing kitchen and dining room space to expand the kitchen into a much larger space. It also involved gutting the existing kitchen to install new cabinets, flooring, plumbing, lighting, new appliances (including some built-ins) along with expanded gas line and new duct installation etc. Working with Craig, Andrew, Murray and their excellent roster of sub-contractors was such a positive experience. They were attentive to the many details of the project, flexible, diligent and always available either on-site or to respond to queries by email. Andrew, Craig and the Ecnomus Construction Group Inc. team assisted us with the extension of 31 Hickory Street West, Waterloo, ON, in May 2013. The team was provided a tight deadline to meet, construction was to begin in May and end by August 2013. The team worked diligently to ensure the requirements by us and the City of Waterloo were met. We received regular updates from Andrew, on many occasions we had adjustments and requests, which were accommodated and on numerous occasions Andrew would contact us on days off,late night to provide on-going updates to keep us informed. The team was always consistent, focused and paid attention to detail, which meant a lot to us as this was a project close to our hearts. Andrew and his crew of professionals provided us with an excellent customer experience that we will never forget. I hired Ecnomus to build a new room in my basement. I liked both Andrew and Craig upon meeting them. In my opinion they were knowledgeable, professional and honest. I hoped my instincts were correct. As it turns out, I was not disappointed. They took their time to plan each stage of the project and discussed options with me. They listened to what I wanted and they really heard me. The work involved demolishing the existing room and rebuilding with new wiring, lighting, walls, ceiling, windows and carpet. During the process, Andrew and Craig kept me apprised of what was happening at all times. They were reliable and accountable, overseeing every step of the project and ensuring the job was done right. The project progressed as promised and actually came in ahead of time and under budget. I love our new room and could not be happier with the results. I will definitely use Ecnomus for any future renovations and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Ecnomus assisted with the design, and executed the full demolition and reconstruction of our four-piece bathroom. They were a great help in bringing our vision to fruition and made strong, confident and sensible recommendations along the way. Everyone involved with the project was courteous and respectful and they maintained a very clean and safe environment. Though it did take longer than we had hoped, due primarily to a custom glass shower unit, the wait was well worth it and we would not only recommend, but we would also utilize Ecnomus for our future contracting and design needs.
