Eco Landscape is a full service landscape company that brings 15+ years of custom design and installation experience to residential and commercial projects in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley areas. Jennifer Koll-Klein, Principal Jennifer is a Creative Director in Los Angeles with over 25 years of experience providing design direction for some of today’s biggest brands. Passionate about the outdoors, a love of architecture and interior/exterior design, she has shifted her focus to landscape design and exterior furnishings. Jennifer works with a talented team of landscape architects and designers who help bring each concept to life.

Brad and Jennifer at Eco Landscape did an incredible job designing and creating new landscaping at our house in West Hollywood. Our 1927 Spanish-style house had a typical 1950's era lawn and lots of unnecessary concrete in the back. They replaced the grass with Mediterranean landscaping and created a design that is both modern and timeless. The new design fits perfectly with the house, the neighborhood, and the climate. It also pops in the best way. Jennifer spent many hours designing details down to the look of the planters. Brad spent hours picking out just the right trees and plants. And their team of workers spent days ripping out the old and putting in the new. The results really did exceed our expectations. And Brad and Jennifer were willing to listen to our thoughts and find ways to incorporate those into the overall design and aesthetic. We recommend them wholeheartedly.

We had a great experience with Eco Landscape Design and Build. We were most of the way through a major house renovation (e.g. new roof, new stucco, new windows) and needed new landscaping that complemented the house. Our neighbor had recently hired Eco Landscaping to update his front yard with drought resistant plants. Based on his recommendation and positive Houzz and Yelp reviews, we contacted Eco Landscape. The owner of Eco Landscaping, Brad came over and reviewed and measured our property. We discussed what we wanted in both the front and back yards. A few weeks later, we met with Brad and his wife Jennifer (the designer) who showed us their designs. We liked the design and decided to move forward with the front yard project. Our front yard has been transformed from a large grassy mess to a drought resistant showplace. Our old, distressed olive tree was pruned and is showing signs of returning to life. Our grass is gone, replaced by gravel, beautiful native grasses and succulents. Our cracked driveway and walkway have been re-imagined and replaced with nice fresh cement. The lighting throughout the yard is now dramatic and beautiful. Brad gave us an estimate of 6 weeks for the job. Based on our experience with our house contractor, we expected this timeline to stretch to 8-16 weeks. Brad had the work completed in 4. We are completely happy with the front yard landscaping. Many neighbors have stopped by to compliment the look and tell us how well the front yard coordinates with the house. We look forward to working with Eco Landscaping in the future when we are ready to update our backyard

Jennifer and Brad are a great team. Super personable and easy to work with. Starting with the design phase, primarily with Jennifer, she heard what we were looking for and we were ready to roll after one revision to her initial presentation. Brad and his crew brought it to life. Brad has a passion for, and deep knowledge of plants. I think he sees his project a canvas and the plants are his palette. A fantastic job in choosing the right plants and installing in the perfect places. It was fun to watch him "paint." We live on a corner and people passing by often comment how much they love it. True that, we do too!

We’ve used Eco Landscape for two projects eight years apart. The first time around, it was a full landscaping job - design, irrigation, plantings - for both our front and back yards that were essentially “blank slates". They did a wonderful job, kept to the agreed upon budget and finished as scheduled. We loved our yard and received many complements throughout the years. Eight years later we decided to put in a pool, which then required all new landscaping in our back yard. This time around, in addition to having design, irrigation and planting needs, our ideas included fencing, built in benches, a BBQ island as well as a somewhat challenging issue with slopes and varying elevations. Brad and Jennifer were amazing. Jennifer pulled all of our “wants” and “needs” into a beautiful design plan that met our budget and Brad and his team executed the design perfectly. Once again, in addition to the enjoyment we receive from our beautiful backyard, our friends and family have nothing but complements as well. I would highly recommend Eco Landscape.

We renovated our entire backyard from the ground up with Eco and from beginning to end, they were consummate pros. Jennifer & Brad's vision and aesthetic was right in line with our own which helped immensely in the design process. The dedicated crew were not just hard workers, they were true craftsmen that took pride in their work and it showed down to the smallest details. They showed up on time, did everything they promised, took no shortcuts and completed the project when they said they would. Brad and Jennifer just completed an extensive overhaul of our front, back and side yards (which included extensive hardscaping, landscaping, lighting and irrigation). Before this project, we had a 1960's Studio City home with a warm modern interior BUT a very dated exterior that was detracting from / conflicted with the feel of our home. After working with Brad and Jennifer, the exterior now compliments the house -- it is modern and warm with very clean lines and is awesome to come home to each day, I would recommend Eco Landscape without question. We will gladly work with them again on future projects. We LOVE the finished product and have only positive things to say about the working experience (from design to demo to planting). At the outset, Brad and Jennifer listened to our preferences and translated a high level conversation into a thoughtful and well-planned design concept. They listened to our budget and worked with us on decision points / trade offs that would materially impact the cost of the project. Finally, they offered recommendations and were responsive to questions throughout the project. Their crew is professional, super hard working and detail oriented and made steady progress every single day. The project included extensive concrete work (e.g., newly poured retaining walls, a modern staircase that creates a fluid and open entry way to our house, a newly poured driveway and block steps around the perimeter of our house), desert scape plants that are BEAUTIFUL, lighting and irrigation. I would recommend Eco Landscape without question. We will gladly work with them again on future projects.

Brad worked with plans we had from an another designer who got to be too expensive. He helped us translate them into the budget we had. He was very collaborative and helpful with suggestions and questions. And mostly, he was honest with us. He stayed within our budget and communicated with us as adjustments needed to be made. His timeline for execution was real-it took as long as he said it was going to. He started before he said he was going to. Brad and his crew cleared our front yard, craned in (at our request) a 75 year old olive tree, ran new irrigation, laid brick, poured cement, built a beautiful redwood fence with entry gate and motorized driveway gate and planted drought tolerant plants and gravel. The result is fantastic and makes us feel like we have a whole part of our home to enjoy. #compound

We wanted to transform our generic/lackluster landscaping (that a developer put in) and switch to drought tolerant landscaping. We had a very positive experience hiring Eco Landscape to redesign our landscaping in both the front and back portions of our home and add a firebowl and bistro lighting. The redesign of the area around our pool was particularly challenging, and Jennifer came up with a great design solution that truly exceeded our expectations. Brad was very diligent in getting the job done in a reasonable time frame and he and his loyal crew made the whole experience a positive one with great results.

Brad and his team did an amazing job. From our first interaction I was impressed with his understanding of what we wanted and his flexibility. He worked with me electronically to come to a solid plan. Once work began it was executed quickly, professionally and precisely. Brad was there throughout the job keeping things on track. His team built an immaculate wall/fence hybrid of about 140 linear The craftsmanship was impressive. He paid attention to some of the small details that many overlook. We hired Brad and Jennifer to completely re-design and landscape our front yard from ugly, water sucking grass to a more modern, clean and drought tolerant landscape. We didn't want to keep anything from our old yard so Brad and his team not only did the plants/trees but installed a new flagstone path, fence, retaining wall and gates. From start to finish the whole process was amazingly easy. Brad was on site with his team every day and always easy to get a hold of if we had questions or wanted to change something. We plan to redo our backyard in the next year or two and will definitely be using Eco Landscape again. I cannot more highly recommend this company.

The backyard was done three years ago and still looks fantastic. The front was just done and we absolutely love it! They did a great job on installing a new irrigation system as well. We are loving our newly landscaped front yard. This company, owned and operated by Brad Klein, gives you individualized service and attention. You have the freedom to participate in the creative process if that's your thing, or to kick back (like we did) and let Brad use your land as a canvass to create a natural drought resistant masterpiece. We are so happy with the results--the beautiful trees, plants with flowers (all with long Latin names), rocks, lovely pathway, and lights. Stunning. Thank you to Brad and his employees!

They landscaped our front yard and turned it into a beaurtiful garden with many different types of drought friendly plants, along with a new drip system to take care of it. Schedule was perfection!! We have used Eco Landscape on two occasions, most recently in March. We landscaped our front and back yards, breaking them up into separate projects for budget purposes. Eco spent a lot of time, up front, listening to our objectives to convert both yards to drought tolerant. They made terrific recommendations and suggestions from the outset. The projects were completed within budget, except for changes we requested or agreed with. Brad was actively involved during construction and easily reachable if we had questions. On both occasions, Eco's crew was the same guys, some of the best we have had the pleasure of working with. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I can't say enough good things about Eco Landscape. After interviewing a few different companies, they were an easy choice to make based on their eye for design and competitive pricing. Brad Klein is not only the company's owner but he is also the project manager who is there every step of the way. His ideas are smart, unique and practical. My project turned out better than I could have imagined. Eco Landscape is a one-stop shop. They did an immaculate job on our new contemporary fence, porch, concrete pavers, sport court, drought proof landscaping and irrigation. Their crew is respectful and quick with unbelievable quality of workmanship and professionalism. They really created an outdoor space for us that is as functional as it is beautiful. I have had a wonderful experience working with Brad and Jennifer. I first hired them in 2012 to replace our existing plantings in the front and back of our house with more drought-tolerant plants. They redesigned one area as a "meadow" with large and small rocks and grasses. It's gorgeous. They replanted the small hillside area in the back of our house. They also changed the plants in the front, again adding attractive rocks. In addition, they replaced an old irrigation system with a mix of drip and sprinklers -- all on a timer. And they installed new LED lights on a timer in the front and back of the house. In addition, they turned a small unusable area in the back yard behind a shed into a work area with decomposed granite and wood retaining walls. Brad came back in 2012 to do maintenance and advise us about installing "fake" grass in the backyard. His crew did general cleanup of the garden, pruned and mulched. Brad and his crew have come back each year, replacing plants as needed and helping us to keep the garden looking lovely. We most recently hired them in March 2015. I have found Brad extremely easy to work with and responsive to my concerns and ideas. His crew is outstanding. We are very happy with his work and look forward to continuing to work with Brad and Jennifer over the years to come. Because this has been an ongoing working relationship, it's hard to indicate a "project date" or to give a specific cost. I've listed the date cost of the initial, major project.

Ours was a major redesign, replacing wall-to-wall grass with an environmentally-friendly Spanish garden look in both front and back yards. Brad and Jenn came highly recommended by a friend and were amazing to work with, full of great ideas, flexible, and had a top-notch crew. We wanted to add to the look of the house while minimizing water waste. The duo suggested an array of great-looking draught-tolerant plants, and Brad set up highly customized irrigation system that allows for independent watering of thirsty and water-sipping plants. Between the intricate CAD drawings and reference photos they provided we felt like we knew what we were in for, but it turned out even better. The ultimate compliment comes in the form of neighbors snapping cell phone shots and telling us how much they’re enjoying our new front yard. Thumbs-up for Eco!
