The Gerety Crew is always courteous and treats my house like their own. They have returned for their fourth project here, and I feel like they are family. Everything is done with hard work and respect, and the outcome is excellence.

Gerety has done several projects for us and has done every one of them with the highest skill and integrity. We could not be more pleased with the quality of their work. They thoroughly vetted the work required before proceeding . They kept us informed as the projects moved forward and discussed with us the need to make any changes, and they made no changes without our prior approval. They completed the work on time and on budget in every case. Equally important, the cost was reasonable and transparent. We would not hesitate to use them again.

I had no prior experience with Keith beyond seeing his trucks around our town in Northern Westchester for many years. When we had a significant water damage issue in our basement, he showed up immediately to look at the scope. That's pretty amazing for any contractor you work with given how busy they are, but i wasn't even a prior client. Keith, and every member of his team were timely, super efficient, extremely thoughtful in their work and in how they made the construction as unobtrusive as possible, despite it being a stage project with many items that were valuable and difficult to move out of the house. All of this during the pandemic when everything had an extra layer of difficulty added on to it. From a technical perspective, all the work was done with the highest of standards, no short cuts. i have overseen large construction projects in NYC so have some background with work quality, but Keith Gerety is top notch. He is on site constantly and if he doesn't like the way something looks, which is rare given his team, it gets redone. I am always looking for partners to work with in all aspects of my life, so that i know i can have a trusted advisor on whatever the area may be. With Keith, i would never do any work related to building and restoration without him.

The Gerety Building & Restoration team did world-class work on a massive project that substantially improved the safety of our home and helped us reclaim land that had been eroded by 30 years of rainfall. The project entailed building a 60-foot long, 10-foot tall retaining wall (at its highest point) outside the pillars that support our second-story deck. Erosion had created a steep slope downhill that exposed the concrete base to one of the pillars by over a foot, and would eventually compromise the integrity the deck. Given the size, complexity and importance of the project, Gerety recommended a structural engineer, who drew up the plans to include proper watershed drainage and a smaller "deadman's wall" connected underground with rebar and plates to the Great Wall to provide additional support. The team was professional and methodic in its approach, and provided regular communication about both the project's status and next steps. We will happily work with Keith Gerety and his team again on future projects and strongly recommend Gerety Building & Restoration to anyone looking for world-class work at a reasonable cost.

We did a major remodeling of 2 bathrooms and partial remodeling of the great room, Faced with multiple obstacles posed by shortages of materials and delays in the delivery of fixtures, Keith Gerety was not merely our contractor but our advocate, pushing the suppliers and retailers to get us the materials to get the job done. Keith and his team helped us transform a storage room over our garage into a home theater. The skills that Keith and his team of Cesar, Eduardo, and Xavier brought to this project were impeccable. The attention to detail and unwillingness to settle for anything other than perfection in terms of the end result was second to none. Having worked with Keith on a large kitchen renovation and now the transformation of this room into our new favorite room in the house, I wouldn't turn to anyone but Keith for any future remodeling needs.

Keith and his crew were absolute professionals. He and his foreman Cesar was delightful to work with and the entire team did a high quality job. Keith was able to start my project right away (a covered portch turned into a 4 season room addition) and was able to advise me the best way to move forward economically and aesthetically.
They do extremely high quality work. I'm an antique home owner and he was able to make the addition look seamless. Like it had been there forever.
I plan to use Keith and his team for many more projects (and there will be many on my antique home!)
I would recommend them without hesitation and with much enthusiasm!

Gerety Restoration renovated our deck and did extensive repairs to the rotten wood on house and shed in preparation for staining. The crew is very skilled and professional. They do quality work and kept the area neat and clean. I highly recommend them.

Keith Gerety and his crew have come to my rescue many times over the years. We started out using Gerety for painting the inside and outside of our house, but they do so much more than that! Keith and his guys helped us maintain an aging house, by replacing windows, rebuilding weakened structures and of course painting, always painting. I have the utmost trust in Keith and his team and highly recommend them for any work anyone may need!

Kitchen ceiling, wall and floor repair and paint job. Very professional from beginning to end. We received an estimate from Mr Gerety promptly. Once we accepted the contract, we were able to schedule the job quickly. The crew finished on time, and with minimal disruption to the house. Crew was very friendly, neat and respectful of the house. They arrived promptly every morning, and worked diligently through the day. They even managed to repair some hardwood floor damage that previous contractors didn't want to touch. Overall very fine job. Somewhat pricier than the competition, but you get quality work. Would recommend to others.

If you care about quality and excellence, Gerety is it. They did an absolutely beautiful job, with attention to detail and precision and care in doing things right. I was thrilled when discussing colors for the exterior wooden stairways. They understood how colors go together and play off their surroundings, and they shared my love of weathered cedar shingles. Another painting company came by for an estimate and immediately assumed I wanted to paint the shingles. Only Gerety will work on this house, thanks!

The whole team at Gerety Building is top notch. They are extremely communicative with time lines and schedules and Keith has the perfect temperament for collaboration. We don't think he's lost his cool EVER! The talent at Gerety Building is tremendous. Whatever crazy design our interior design firm dreamt up, they made it happen and its execution was magnificent. The team likes a good challenge and thrives on finding solutions. Each and every crew member is kind, courteous and always went out of their way to help. There were a couple bumps in the road, as there always are with large scale renovations, but Keith was on it from the first moment and worked hard to make everything right. Gerety Building's integrity means everything to Keith and it shows in every part of the project. We've gone through 3 projects now with Gerety Building and we love "Uncle" Keith!

Gerety builders fixed my rotten wood on my house and barn, power washed, painted, worked on shutters and doors, rebuilt a pergola, and arranged to have gutters installed. I’m sure I’m forgetting things they did, but everything they did was clean and perfect. Communication was so professional. They are kind and skilled people. I would hire them for sure.

Cannot recommend Keith Gerety highly enough. Have worked with other contractors before and none of them compare to Keith. He communicates clearly, follows up and delivers a quality product. Gerety construction rebuilt, replaced and painted all my fencing, replaced and fixed plumbing throughout the property, perfectly repaired lounge room ceiling which fell in after a pipe burst this past winter. Gerety construction are currently painting parts of my house internally getting it ready to be sold. Keith believes in personal service. Was especially grateful for the tour of my basement to solve a very painful rodent issue!! thank you Keith

In addition to regular outside painting, Keith and his team solved and repaired a woodpecker/rotting problem. We hired Gerety Building to replace a cedar shake roof that was incorrectly installed by the previous home owner. Keith and his team were professional, informative & really took pride in their work!! Each day all the debis & old shake was removed from the site so we didn't have to look at it. We also opted for new copper gutters that look great with our new roof. We would recommend Gerety Building to any homeowner who doesn't mind paying for quality & a job well done the first time!!!

Another remodeling project well done by Gerety Building & Restoration, We have had the pleasure of working with Keith on several home improvement projects and have always been impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship of his work. The most recent accomplishment was the master bathroom that needed to be expanded & updated. Keith was always there every step of the way, bringing ideas to improve functionality, design, material selection. Since we had work with Gerety before, we never had a worry. His men are polite, hard working, respectful & the project area was spotless everyday when they left! I think Gerety Building's professionalism, communication style and quality craftsmanship was outstanding! Keith, the owner, is a hands on project manager that has an extreme focus on the details, and kept us informed at every step of the remodeling process of our 1st Floor. Keith Gerety and his excellent crew of carpenters, electricians, plumbers, glass and tile gurus created two of our bathrooms. Keith was patient and informative . His expertise in bathroom remodeling was a huge help when the selection of tile, counter tops, vanities & fixtures. The job went smoothly and quickly, with Keith informing us of each step. The Gerety Building team understood the time restraints since we would attempting to renovate 1 bathroom at a time so our family could utilize the guest bath before it was under construction. Even when there were surprises after the demo, Keith had a solution and or an alternative plan of action. Keith & his team at Gerety Building have done amazing work completely remodeling our kitchen . His integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, creativity in design, problem solving & most important, his ability to really listen and understand our visions are some of the qualities that were so refreshing to find in a this contractor. Keith completed the work as promised (even with all the changes and additions we added along the way) in a timely manner and got it right the first time!! His very hands-on approach, open & frequent communication style made us feel comfortable & confident with the entire remodeling process. His crew is respectful & went above & beyond in keeping the work area neat and clean before leaving each night. They are a great company to work with! Keith and his team of experts are conscientious, respectful and above all, trust worthy!
We were moving from one house to another & our old house needed a face lift before putting it on the market. Keith who is, easy going, attentive, and detailed oriented, did the initial walk through the house with us. He listened to our concerns and made some recommendation on home improvements we hadn't considered. The Gerety team went to work diligently refinishing all the oak floors, repairing or replace hardware, fixtures wood moldings where necessary throughout the house. In addition the mahogany deck needed replacing which was done with precision & quality craftsmanship. We didn't even know the original deck was unsafe and not up to the current building code but fortunately Keith pointed that out in our first meeting.
Keith (the owner) was in constant contact with us on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis. He and the his team treated our home like their own. We never came home to a mess. The cleaned up every day before leaving. It was a pleasant surprise to find a contractor who is so professional, trust worthy and delivers quality construction.
We plan to stay with Gerety Building and Restoration for our renovation plans in our new home.

We have had Gerety Building and Restoration work for us in the past, on the most recent project we went directly to them and again are more than happy with the results. The work began with replacement os large windows, water damaged ceiling, interior and exterior painting to match existing colors. Interior painting of living and dining rooms. The major project was rebuilding bathroom and shower. Guidance was provided on colors, tile choice and hardware. The workmanship is at the artisan level. They were quiet, efficient, neat, when they left at the end of day the area was always neatly clean. We are more than pleased and will call upon Gerety in the future.

This is the first time using Gerety. Hired Gerety for extensive exterior repairs resulting from water damage and neglect. They were extremely professional showing up punctually each and every time during the project. All work was completed to a high quality. Workmen were friendly and did a very good job keeping the worksite tidy and safe. Overall extremely satisfied with the work completed, the cost and the entire experience. Would not hesitate to use Gerety again.

I have used Gerety Building & Restoration many times over the past 15 years, for interior and exterior painting, remodeling my master bathroom, re-finishing my hardwood floors, and re-shingling my roof. just finished probably my 5th project with Keith in 10 years. They have ranged from large renovations to this last disaster of something very small--but Mother in law visitnig in days and needed HELP!! Keith is hugely responsive and saved my bacon on this one! Seriously, he never has surprises, lets me know what he thinks is right thing to do, not what earns him short term money. I trust him completly-which is what matters to me in this business. you can choose as luxury or practical approach-he will help look at both.
Also, his crew's clean up is AMAZING. always spotless-whether end of day, end of week or end of job. SO I do not have anxiety about spending too much or anxiety about what it is like when his crew is in our home. No brainer people should work with him. What began as a smaller project, replacing shower glass, became a larger one as we discovered water damage and rotting wood in the structure of the shower. Keith was very considerate in laying out my options, not assuming I would take the most expensive route, but telling me of all of my possible solutions to a serious problem. When I had decided, he acted quickly and professionally in creating the shower of my dreams. Throughout the process, he was always courteous, attentive, fast to respond, and creative in his solutions. He is a pleasure to work with. All of his estimates were accurate, and there were no surprises from his end. I will definitely use his services in the future, and recommend him without reservation.

I am writing to share my exceptional experience I have had over the years with Gerety Building & Restoration. The owner Keith Gerety does a fantastic job managing his projects from start to finish!
Our first project with Gerety Building was replacing the sub floor and the antique wide plank flooring . I was skeptical that Keith would be able to find a replica of the original flooring. Gerety Building floor team did a great job repairing our sub floor then installing new wide plank flooring extremely similar to the old oak flooring already in our home. Throughout the demo, repair & installation of the new floor, Keith kept me in the loop on everything from selection, timing, costs and any interruptions in our home activities. He always put our family first so there would be minimal inconvenience, which we truly appreciated. As a result we had our bathroom, kitchen and deck redone by Gerety Building and Restoration knowing that we would receive excellent workmanship from his team
I highly recommend Keith and his company Gerety Building and Restoration.

Keith Gerety and his team performed restorative work on the far side of our house that incurred storm damage. he replaced clapboard and lattice. as has been our experience with keith over the previous 10-15 years, the work was done efficiently, promptly, preserved the esthetics of the house and was fair, cost-wise. no 'over-rides'. keith has performed interior and exterior painting for us, as well as deck-work and other carpentry. I would have no reservation in recommending Keith to anyone in need of this kind of work.

I chose Gerety Building & Restoration for all my remodeling projects after my first positive experience 10 years ago when they did an extensive wood floor installation in 4 rooms in our home. I have since completed a Master Bathroom remodel Painting and Masonry work with Gerety and I am still impressed with this contractor. Upon my first meeting with Keith the owner, I was impressed with his listening skills and extensive knowledge & expertise in all home improvement projects. Any type of remodeling can be stressful but with Keith Gerety (owner) micro managing each step of our remodeling projects; I rarely had a worry. His constant communications, follow up and attention to detail was amazing! The Gerety Floor, Kitchen & Bathroom teams delivers quality craftsmanship, and treat your home like it was their own. I strongly recommend Gerety Building & Restoration to anyone wants quality work and no head aches.

The contractor removed old carpeting and installed hardwood flooring, windows, and French doors as well as painted the interior and relocated an electric heater in an outbuilding.

What is particularly attractive about Gerety Building & Restoration is the fact that they took the burden off us by coordinating and scheduling each phase of the kitchen remodel while keeping us informed. When working on our new kitchen, Gerety’s team of plumbers, electricians, carpenters, granite installers were all very competent, professional and meticulous. In addition, all of the work areas inside and outside my house were kept neat and clean throughout each project. From the first meeting with Keith Gerety, to the final inspection, he made sure I was completely satisfied. So we will be working with him on our next home improvement project which will be a bathroom remodel.

Kieth is a professional whom I would hire for a top notch bathroom or kitchen renovation. We hired Kieth's company to do both small and large jobs and he always came in on time and within budget and stood behind his work. The quality of the jobs are always top notch. He has a sterling reputation in town for good reason. He does what he says. A rare gem!
