I have been looking for a company to remodel my kitchen for some time and Amy is an amazing designer. The team at giraffe met and exceeded my expectations. The detail of their process has been unmatched by any other company we've gotten quotes from.

Our project was to combine our small kitchen and hallway into an updated open kitchen with more work space, breakfast nook, and laundry room while blending it into the existing feel of our older home. We chose Giraffe Design Build because Martin Clarke has an excellent understanding of the entire construction process with his long-standing personal experience in both building and designing. He foresees potential problems and knows how to resolve them. Martin is very easy to work with; he listens carefully & looks out for us while acting on our best interests. Everything is on a spreadsheet with a detailed plan of each aspect in the project so that the work plan & costs are clear & unambiguous to all. He also showed great flexibility in allowing me, the homeowner, to work as a laborer so I could be directly involved in the process and save some money. Our entire project was predicated on the creative, "out of the box” plan of Giraffe’s designer, Stephen. He took all our ideas and moved the project to an entirely different level than we had ever thought possible and far exceeded our expectations. Mandy provided excellent interior design expertise with color choices and final design details such as floating shelving and counter stool choices that really pulled things together. The quality of work by Berry, Jeff & Greg was excellent. The team and the process was collaborative & enabled us to overcome many quite complicated remodeling issues. Since our home is close to eighty years old and has undergone multiple renovations we encountered uneven methods of construction including multiple levels of flooring, and disparate rafter configurations. Everything was professionally resolved resulting in a simple, pleasing product. The entire Giraffe team always responded quickly to our concerns and went above and beyond the requirements in order to help us during the entire process. One example was to build and hook up a temporary sink and laundry area and connected the washing machine.

Thrilled. Martin and everyone else at Giraffe made the design process collaborative and exciting, and at the same time provided honest, pragmatic feedback that kept deliverables within budget. Our modern aesthetic fit perfectly with their vision of a wide-open communal space that placed the kitchen at the center of the home. After 10 years of heavy usage, we couldn't be happier with the decisions made and the quality of the product. Our kitchen and great room have stood the test of time and the daily assaults of 3 young children. We credit Giraffe with the creative use of materials, proven ergonomics and a tried and true layout plan that just works. They've stood behind their work down to the smallest detail. We couldn't be happier!

During the past two years, my husband and I have embarked upon a major home remodeling project. We chose Giraffe Design Build to design and execute extensive remodeling of our 1950’s era ranch home, including a new roof with 3-foot overhangs in the Prairie style, and a new porch, entrance way, dining room and kitchen. Martin Clarke, our designer, has worked closely with us every step of the way. He has been extremely careful in making sure that he has captured our vision of how we want our remodeled space to appear. He has invested levels of creativity and enthusiasm that far exceed ordinary expectations, resulting in a beautiful, distinctive, and extremely well-crafted remodel. The entire staff at Giraffe has been responsive to our budget, and has given us accurate estimates of the costs and benefits of all prospective changes. Progress has been excellent: we have stayed very close to our timeline. The Giraffe construction crew, supervised by Geoff Beck, has gone out of their way to be courteous and helpful, and to communicate on-going questions and issues concerning the remodeling process. They take great pride in their workmanship, resulting in extraordinary levels of quality. Communication between Giraffe crew, ourselves, and the steady stream of subcontractors also has gone smoothly, and we have been impressed by the quality of work and service Giraffe’s subcontractors have given us. This reflects well on the company as a whole. Remodeling is a stressful journey. We feel very fortunate to have retained Giraffe Design Build. We could not imagine having a better experience with the day-to-day process of remodeling, nor a better outcome for our greatly improved home. The levels of professionalism, responsiveness to the homeowner, trustworthiness, efficiency, and creative craftsmanship shown by Giraffe Design build are of the highest possible caliber.
