Fields is adaptable, creative, and works beautifully with his crew and clients. He saved us money while giving us a high-quality and beautiful home. For 30 years John Fields of Golden-Fields Construction has been our first choice contractor for remodeling projects large and small. Examples: Remodel of master bedroom, kitchen and bath, later a covered patio, and later a deck. Not only were we pleased with the results, but we were also pleased with the working relationships with John and his employees. Very responsible.

John built my house and I'm quite satisfied. I wanted a state-of-the-art, super-insulated, passive- and active-solar, net-zero energy, toxic-free and earth-, people- and pet-friendly habitat and had specific ideas of how to achieve it. John executed many of them and had ideas of his own. Most importantly, he told me when my ideas were bad and came up with better ones.

We moved to Ashland, Oregon 2 1/2 years ago. Shortly after arriving, we decided on a major, downstairs remodel of our house. We met with John Fields of Golden-Fields to talk about it. John generated some incredible ideas and brought in a designer and an engineer to help with the technical details. We proceeded much earlier than we thought possible. Throughout, the team was professional and exacting. The result was spectacular, way beyond our already high expectations. Having grown up in construction, my expectation is for high quality work, completed on time and within budget. John and his crew delivered. The subs love working with John. His professionalism, creativity, and ability to build solid working relationships all work together to produce a beautiful result. It would be impossible to recommend him to highly. We followed up the next year with a remodel of our upstairs.

A few years back, we asked John to be our contractor for a whole house remodel. To this very day, we could not be MORE PLEASE with the quality of the work and the quality of John's commitment to us for the project and his personal integrity that everything was done on schedule and within our budget ! This has led to a friendship that we value and have continually recommended John & his company. John would be our first choice for any home improvement and if he wasn't available the project would just have to wait.

John Fields helped me design my small, dark kitchen and gave me really good suggestions. His team was respectful and professional and got the job done quickly. My cats are enjoying their feeding station, and I'm enjoying a well-thought out kitchen layout.

I worked with John Fields and his construction crew on a full kitchen remodel for a shared client. John was a pleasure to work with. His attention to fine detail was impressive. He helped both me, and the clients look at the project in ways we wouldn't have without his input. His crew was professional and timely. The completed job is beautiful.
