The Gulick Group's reputation as the top tier of luxury home builders is again demonstrated through their latest project at Park Grove. Nestled in the heart of downtown Mclean, Gulick further beautified one of the most sought after residential areas to live in Virginia with the development of eight beautiful soft contemporary houses. We were fortunate enough to be one of the first owners of these gorgeous homes. Gulick's sophisticated architectural design and open floor plans complemented with top-of-the line features, selections for appliances, hardwood floors, and bathroom hardware made our decision to purchase a no brainer. We are beyond pleased with the absolutely beautiful results of our home. Jamie Gulick and his team along with Julie Zelaska of Smith-Schnider worked closely with us every step of the way to make sure every detail in our home reflect our vision. Their established experience, craftsmanship, attention to details and excellent customer service were clearly evident throughout this process. We are also very appreciative of the final inspection team (Wayne and Cindy) for going above and beyond. We cannot thank Jamie and Julie enough for making this an incredible journey. Truly, had it not been for Jamie and Julie, I do not think my husband and I would have selected Park Grove. In any project, it is hard to achieve 100 percent, but in our case, the Gulick Group delivered 200 percent!!!

I highly recommend the Gulick Group to anyone who is in search of an amazing builder in Northern Virginia and who wants to build a customizable, beautiful home! From the start of the building process, we were so overwhelmed with how many builders there are in Northern Virginia. We met with quite a few before deciding to go with the Gulick Group, and looking back I am SO glad we did. From the second we walked into one of their model homes, we were absolutely stunned with the beauty and details of the house. We were also greeted with such genuine warmth from Jamie Gulick and one of his associates. Speaking of Jamie, I can’t say enough great things about him – he is so down to earth, reliable, honest and truly a nice person. Never once did we feel like we were being “sold” or pushed in any certain direction. Jamie has always been so patient when answering our million questions and has always made time to show us other model homes or homes in process, despite his busy schedule. When we were designing our dream home, their architect really took the time to sit down and hear what our wishes were, understood our vision, and helped us make it a reality. The Gulick group has a very organized and streamlined process for choosing selections from everything to paint color, hardwood, carpet, and appliances. They have amazing team members who work with you for each ‘category’ of the house which is great because they really know their stuff and are true experts with helping you choose what works best for your individual family/needs/budget. They made what we thought was going to be impossible to, dare I say, fun!! I could not recommend the Gulick Group more—you will not be disappointed and will truly have an everlasting and beautiful home.

Buyer beware!!!! The home we had Gulick construct is 4 years old and we have been experiencing a number of issues with our home since the day we moved in - during the 1 year warranty period we had a hard time having major issues addressed and rectified. Kristen was particularly difficult and rude to work with. Even after some of these larger issues were fixed we were left with the drywall and paint damage they left behind. Just passed the 1 year warranty period we noticed areas we had fixed during our “punch list” were just covered up. Cabinet gaps and flaws were touched up with filler or paint that didn’t last long but long enough to look good until the warranty expired. Our bathroom tile and grout was poorly done - another thing we had addressed, uneven tile, cracked tile, poorly cut lines, bad grout work which was redone but quickly washed away. Hardoowd floors have white spots on them - they appear to be where paint dropped, wiped off, then sealed/finished over. The exterior of our home has a cluster of dark bricks on the side of our house - they didn’t bother to spread them out (another overlooked detail). The list goes on and on... Fast forward 4 years later and we now have window casings splitting because of the small area of hardiplank in the back of our house that was trimmed with a pvc product, instead of hardiplanks artisan trim product, is warped and pulling away from our house. We have had several siding and roofing contractors out to take a look at the problems and they couldn’t believe our builder or their contractor wouldn’t warranty this potentially systemic issue due to faulty product and/or improper installation. I have contacted Gulick and Tw Perry (who provided the materials) and have not heard back from anyone. It’s just infuriating because we wanted all vinyl maintenance free windows and ALL brick no siding whatsoever, but we let Gulick smooth talk us into their “quality products and craftsmanship” and decided to trust them. Gulick charges a premium price to build you what they claim is a quality home which isn’t the case - they build you a home they don’t even stand behind! Such a shame - they are beautiful homes but poorly built using lackluster products and labor with little to no attention to detail.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jamie and the Gulick Group over the past two years staging some of their properties. We see first hand their thoughtful design and attention to detail. Their character, professionalism and love for what they do is evident at every turn: great space planning, quality fixtures, beautiful tile work and light fixtures. It's a pleasure staging their exquisite homes.

From start to finish, the team at Gulick Group exceeded every expectation and made the commonly stressful home-building experience incredibly manageable. The sales process was friendly, transparent, and respectful. The design and selections process was extremely easy and was actually quite fun. Construction was a breeze (literally!), happening faster than we could have ever imagined. The architects and engineers worked with us to capture every idea and tried to make them a reality, delivering on almost all of them in the end. There seemed to be no major hiccups, the contractors were all top notch professionals, and the final inspection produced not much more than a few paint touch ups. All in all, a phenomenal experience and the best quality design and construction we've seen. As we told the team at Gulick, the home they built for us is one of a kind... a true masterpiece.
