Heartlands did an addition on our house. Screened in porch and deck. During the process found an issue with a support beam and fixed it. Great company. Staff was knowledgeable and fun to have around. Finished product was everything we were hoping for.

I am really enjoying my custom covered patio designed and build by Heartlands. Everyone who sees it compliments the way it looks. It gives me and my family a large usable outdoor space. The shade and fans provide a pleasant environment even on hot St. Louis summer days and it provides shelter from direct rainfall allowing use of a large TV and comfortable patio furniture. It also has a roof over my new hot tub.

Heartland Built our outdoor room to match the exterior of our home. We absolutely love our new space. Everyone we've met who works for Heartland is extremely professional- from the architectural designer, to the project manager, to the stone layers... And they stand behind their work!! We had an issue with one of our stone pillars and they quickly diagnosed the problem ( a drainage issue) and came out to fix the underlying problem and then rebuild the pillar. They return phone calls and emails promptly. They worked well in tandem with our pool builder, Baker. We highly recommend Heartlands!

Heartlands designed and built a marvelous screen porch for us. We had been told for years that space limitations and roofline issues would prevent us from having what we really wanted, so we lived with a cedar deck that we seldom used. Then we met the Heartlands folks and they showed us how to approach the issue in a new way. The result is everything we wanted. We just wish we would have met them sooner. The building process was smooth and we were kept in the loop the entire way so we knew what to expect on a daily basis.

Outdoor screened porch with stone gas fireplace. Installed two bi-parting doors exiting our kitchen area. Retractable screen enclosure. Also, outdoor grilling station, including grill, refrigerator, trash can and attached bistro bar table.

Heartlands installed a screen room on our covered back porch: They removed the supporting beams because they were not close enough to meet code, installed Geodeck composite decking, installed aluminum railing, floor to ceiling screens, two outdoor ceiling fans, and an outdoor tabletop propane heater. They also removed the old railings and a metal circular staircase that had been cut into the back porch by the previous owner. The whole project went beautifully. We had scheduled appointments for estimates with three different companies, and had already met with one before we talked with Larry Brost. The first company had given us a bid of almost $20,000 for just a screen room, which did not include replacing the supporting beams or existing floorboards. They were just going to lay plywood over the existing boards, which we would then have had to find some way to protect from the weather. They were also going to install only one ceiling fan on the porch. Larry gave us a bid for approximately half their price, but it included replacing the supporting beams, the existing floorboards with no-maintenance composite boards, two ceiling fans and a propane heater. We were impressed by his honesty, his knowledgeability, and his suggestions to keep the overall costs down. For example, we had been thinking about having a three season room instead of a screen room, but he advised that would cost a good deal more and we wouldn't get that much more use out of it as opposed to a screen room. After talking with him, my husband told me to cancel the third appointment, we had found the company to do the job. Larry kept us informed as to when his crews would be at our house, and they showed up promptly as promised. The only delays were due to things like weather which were beyond his control. The crews were polite, professional and cleaned up the work site at the end of each day. We love our new screen room. The fans make a HUGE difference when the weather is warmer. We haven't had a chance to use the heater yet since it hasn't been cold enough, but I was shown how to turn it works when they first brought it out and it is very simple to use and generates quite a bit of heat. I think we have used our back porch more in the past month than we have in the past five years combined, and we're already thinking that we should have the same thing done with our front porch. I highly recommend this company.
