Henderer Design + Build + Remodel

We recently had Henderer Design + Build remodel/enlarge a bathroom for us in our historic 1936 home. Johnelle Metz was the designer and we were very impressed with her work. The design incorporated "aging in place" aspects, including a wider door, a curbless shower, and easy to maintain surfaces. Johnelle found fixtures and materials which suited those criteria and were suitable to the style of the house. She was a delight to work with, and communicated regularly about ideas and schedules.

We love our new kitchen! Our designer helped us come up with a plan that looks great and suits our lifestyle. Everyone at Henderer is great to work with. They are very attentive to details and are responsive to any issues along the way. Finished right on schedule, too!

After researching a number of companies we hired Henderer to replace the windows on our older brick home. We knew the job would not be simple as the home is outdated and nothing is standard on it. Hender was fantastic. Working with Dave in the planning stage was surprisingly simple and easy, and the team that did the work was outstanding. The product (Marvin Windows) is high quality, and the workmanship was even better! I cannot recommend these guys more. We will certainly recommend them, and will use them for any future remodel projects.

Henderer Design Build of Corvallis, Oregon recently completed a master bathroom remodel for us. Their designer, Brittanie, was super helpful in providing bathroom layout options, flooring possibilities, fixture choices and paint colors that tied the project together. The project manager, Ted, was meticulous, friendly and very respectful of both our house and my wife who was home alone much of the time. Ted ensured that his work and the work of the sub-contractors was kept to the highest standards and impacted the rest of our house as little as possible. He covered the carpeting and erected a plastic enclosure to keep the demolition dust contained. He put down drop cloth type runners for all workers to walk on while going through the house. The project was completed within budget and on time. If any difficulty was encountered, it was professionally resolved with no impact to the project. We so very pleased with the final result. We have absolutely no reservation in recommending Henderer Design Build for any new construction or remodel project. Should we have the opportunity to do another project on our house, we will use Henderer again.

We had a wonderful experience with Henderer Design + Build. Our home of 30 years needed an updated kitchen but we struggled to find the right design. Their designers walked through our house, asking questions, pulling our likes and dislikes and then came up with a design that incorporated our tastes with modern styles. The project team on site was professional, detailed and committed to quality. Many times they went beyond what was agreed upon and made improvements far beyond our expectations. I am so happy with all of our remodeled areas. My only regret is that I did not do some other rooms... but we will definitely be using them again!

In the 4th project for which I hired Henderer Design + Build, the H. team followed their usual process of good communication, willingness to do anything that I asked, and effort to do things in a timely way. My project wasn't glamorous--redoing the garage and removing and replacing windows--but the designers and managers gave me the same excellent service that I had experienced in redoing 2 bathrooms and a deck. I highly recommend Henderers and their talented staff (especially Ted and Dan) as the ones to help bring a project to fruition. And...they're FUN, too!

Henderers remodeled two bathrooms for us. It was a very trying time for us. We had a family member living with us who was not well. Henderer's did such a spactular job working around our family member! It could not have been better. I would recommend them always. My husband and I did a lot of research and held many interviews with local contractors and architectural firms after we bought our Corvallis property in 2006. We hired Henderer Design and Build, clearly the most professional and accomplished in the field. They did fabulous work for us TWICE!! We were so happy with the first project, a new 2-story building: garage, shop, guest apartment and art studio built in 2008, that we hired them again to completely remodel our house on the property in 2013. From beginning to end on both projects, the team worked with us closely and continually, nurturing two way communication and attention to detail and quality to make our dreams come true. They shared and updated the construction calendar so we always knew what was being worked on and what yet had to be accomplished....the promised 6 month completion of the house remodel was finished for the 6 month deadline. They even suggested design changes to maintain quality and stay within our budget. Together, we created beautiful and functional living spaces that my husband and I enjoy daily. From the initial design to the final details and workmanship from the team and carefully chosen sub contractors, the process was actually fun and enjoyable both times (we even worked on the first project while we lived in southern CA "long distance" via emails and digital photography....it was great!). We couldn't have asked for better partners ...they made our dreams come true!

We were definitely satisfied with the work of Henderer Design+Build on remodeling our kitchen area in 2011. They had fantastic ideas of how to change things in general. They were great to work with during the process of remodeling. Mary helped us so much with the details. We definitely would use them again for a remodel job. In fact we did! They remodeled our master bathroom in 2015. This again was work we were highly satisfied with. When we discovered a small problem after the project was completed, they attended to this to our satisfaction. We felt so good about their work and trustworthiness that we vacationed for the months that they were working, keeping in close contact by phone in case of questions or problems. This was possible because before we left Mary assisted us through all of the decisions that would have to be made before the project started.

We could not be more pleased with the work Dave Henderer and his crew did for us. Each of the numerous construction projects were done on a timely basis, on or under budget and to the utmost quality. We have contracted with Henderer for multiple projects including a remodel of our bathroom, roof repairs, installation of new attic vents, addition of a side gate to our fence and several other projects both large and small. Henderers's workers were meticulous and always showed up as promised. Having worked with other contractors, we found everyone one at Henderer Design and Build to be absolutely delightful -- talk about great customer service. Emails and phone calls returned quickly, polite, friendly, and considerate interactions on the job site --- wow! Communication during both projects was good and we felt heard and understood. We finished our kitchen/dining room remodel about 3 months ago and we could not be happier. Our 55 year old home had a small galley kitchen and a load of features from the middle of the last century. Henderer D/B came in, worked with us and interpreted our interests in a way that really turned our dreams into reality. We found the cost estimates to be accurate and fair. And we found the results to be outstanding; every one of our guests seems stunned with the final product. My appreciation goes out to the subs, who confirmed for me that they are the perfectionists I so needed with a project as important as this. Part of our project included "bumping" the kitchen wall out onto a patio in order to create more kitchen space. Our concern was that the exterior siding -- very unusual and over 50 years old -- be carefully treated so that it could be re-used. No one can tell that this was a bump out! Designer Mary Turney was especially helpful; time and again she offered examples of products, materials and colors that really moved us forward. From the team in the office (Yeah, Gary and Lainey!) to the plumbers, electricians, drywall and hardwood floor installers, and master carpenters, these folks are true professionals, totally honest and totally willing to work with you to be sure you are completely happy. If we had to do it again, we'd start with Henderer D/B.
