Ernie and his team worked on our Queen Ann turn of the century home in Madison NJ They were extremely focused on matching the hand crafted railings and moldings and extended our porch to the new mudroom. High quality, reasonably priced and attention to detail. I would add that I have shown quotes on a vacation home to Ernie and team and they saved me thousands in NOT overpaying, letting me know when estimates were out of the ballpark. We were very pleased and impressed with the entire Hofmann team. Our sunroom and family room came out beautiful. Dana, our architect listened to our vision and how we planned to use the space. She even came over with the plans so we could use blue tape and envision the plans in the room. This ensured there were no surprises and brought the plans to life for us. As a result the design met all our needs and wishes. Bill, our project manager and his team are true professionals and craftsman. Plus everyone was super nice. No detail was overlooked. Bill was in constant communication, let me know the schedule and was very diligent in making sure we were happy and the project was moving smoothly. They were a pleasure to deal with and because of our experience with Bill and the team, Hofmann will be our go to for any home improvements.

We worked with this group in 2015 to redo our whole home. They were very professional and came in on time & within budget. The architect, design teams & site managers were all easy to work with. Our home went from a typical cape cod to an open floor plan modern home with Craftsman touches. We liked it so much that we wanted to use them for a second home renovation.

HDB completed our whole first floor renovation and then a full bath Reno a year later. The entire experience was stress free and their team was so professional, organized, and they finished exactly when they said they would. I wouldn’t use any other company, our project manager Bill was truly the best!

My project consisted of a complete kitchen renovation, a breakfast room addition and an office/study. The craftsman ship is top notch and the cabinetry beautiful. We made some changes after construction began thanks to some thoughtful discussions with the GC. Thanks Hofman!

We just completed our bathroom and couldn’t have had a better experience. Carla our designer is awesome. She heard our thoughts and came up with a design and choices for tile and fixtures that nailed it. We were done with choosing everything and finalizing our choices in two hours. We couldn’t believe it. She was on the same page from the beginning, offered her informed opinions, kept functionality as well as integration with the rest of the house in mind. Our design is unique and we love it. Mike was our project manager. He showed up every morning!!! I knew what to expect everyday. At the end of the day he went over what they did. If there were any issues he pointed them out to me and told me how they would be resolved. At the end there was zero punch list !!! We were in shock to be so pleased and that it was all done so perfect the first time. Bill is an excellent carpenter. Mike and Bill communicated flawlessly. They were done by three every day. I was able to pick up the kids from school and there was no mess to clean up. The door to bathroom was closed and it was like they weren’t there. In addition, the electricians and the plumber was also very professional and everyone was child friendly. We had a great experience and are already designing our master bath. I highly recommend them.

After interviewing several contractors, we decided to have Hofmann Design Build renovate our kitchen/dining room. From the beginning to the end the entire experience was entirely amazing. We began with an extensive design interview with Jacque to assess our "wish list" and lifestyle. She then presented us with several design plans and made our choice. She and Alaine guided us in choosing everything from appliances to cabinets, flooring, countertops, tile and plumbing fixtures. They were timely and responsive. When everything was chosen and our final plans confirmed, we were introduced to our project manager Steve. I was already so pleased with our experience, however Steve and his crew was icing on the cake. He was always available by phone or text for questions. Steve was at the house nearly every day to make sure the job was running smoothly. When we made some changes or additions, Steve, Jacque and Alaine were accommodating and flexible. Our kitchen/dining renovation is spectacular in every way, thanks to the entire staff at Hofmann. We are planning on another project in the near future and there is only one design crew for us, Hofmann Design Build is the very best!!!!

Hofmann Design Build has done various small projects for us. Always on time, and at a reasonable price, especially considering the high quality of the work. The job-site was always kept tidy with minimal impact on our home. High recommended!

We completely renovated a partially finished basement, adding a rec room, wet bar, full bath, and bedroom. We also renovated an upstairs bathroom at the same time. Ernie and his team developed an exceptional design that utilized the space very effectively. The team is professional, responsive and customer-centric. Ernie remained involved and available throughout the project to address issues or concerns as they arose. Carla was a pleasure to work with as we selected all of the finishes. She listened to us and made excellent suggestions. Plans and budget were executed with great attention to detail.

Hofman Design Build transformed our unfinished basement into a beautiful and functional living space, which includes a laundry room and full bathroom. The project also included renovating a second floor bathroom and cosmetic work around the house. The quality of work was excellent and his team was very client oriented. It's been a full year since work was finished and we are very satisfied with the project.

We renovated 2 homes with Ernie. Both projects came out just as we imagined them with excellent quality, great subs and staff, timeliness, and with our budget in mind. I would recommend Hofmann Design Build too anyone looking for a quality build.
