InSite Builders did a complete remodel of my Bethesda kitchen in 2009. It was beautifully and professionally done on budget and on time. I rented my house five year ago to tenants who subsequently bought the house. I contacted Insite at various times to do minor repairs and one major appliance replacement (the dishwasher). As a homeowner and landlord, I felt confident that Insite would treat my tenants as professionally and respectfully as they had treated me. I recently sold my house and I have to say, the kitchen looked as good from the day it was finished to the day it was sold 15 years later.

InSite was recommended to us by a neighbor who hired them for a large home renovation – much larger than the project we had in mind. We were concerned our project would not be big enough for a full-service design/build firm, but from the beginning, InSite was transparent, professional, communicative and consistent about their process. The owner, Stephen Gordon, was very deliberate in his meeting style and it was clear he had a process and a certain cadence to the business origination process that was developed over many years of practice. His clear and considerate style helped win our business, but his team’s accountability and follow-through during each step of the design and build process (including small follow-up items going on a year post-completion) is what has made us InSite fans. The firm came through on everything they promised. They listened to what we wanted, and we got exactly what we were hoping for from our remodel. Our project manager John was great, as was Tito a skilled carpenter. Their sub-contractors all appeared to work well with InSite and our limited interactions with the subs were positive and constructive. As noted above, even though the project is done, the InSite team is quick to respond whenever we call. We would use them again for other projects in our home and have recommended them to our neighbors.

We first used Stephen and InSite Builders and Remodeling some years ago to undertake major changes in our 1940's rambler in Bethesda, MD. When it came time to partially remodel our little master bathroom, Stephen and InSite were first to come to mind. The communication could not have been better. In addition, to Stephen's on-going interest in the project, his project manager Gerry was outstanding. He visited on an almost daily basis to ensure the project was meeting agreed upon goals. The subcontractor who did the work made sure he knew exactly what we wanted, and on those aspects of the job for which we lacked knowledge, he carefully explained the work and made recommendations which had not occurred to us. The budget and schedue were agreed upon and the project was kept on schedule and within budget despite extra work performed. Communication was outstanding throughout with the owner, his project manager, and his subcontractor. With regard to employees and subcntractors, you can be sure InSite use the best employees and subcontractors for the specific jobs at hand. Areas of Imrovement: in our case, none. Areas of Satisfaction: We were entirely satisfed wit all aspects of this job. In sum, we cannot recommend InSite too highly for your design-build project.

Insight built and installed a new set of custom shelves in my living room. The process from the first day to the last was incredibly satisfying. The design process made it so easy to envision what my new shelves would look like. They even took the time to match the wood accents to what was already in the space. I love it! InSite Builders did an incredible job with fixing a very 'difficult to reach' area in my basement to stop a slow leak coming from my driveway. This leak had been going on for years and the damage to the concrete, pipes and electrical outlets was substantial. We were very pleased with our experience with InSite Remodeling for our master bathroom renovation. They were good and timely communicators and always let us know ahead of time what was going to happen and when everything was going to take place. InSite provides a very organized process, We liked the steps in the process, and we always knew exactly what to expect and what was coming during the entire renovation. The people assigned to the project, John, project manager and Debbie, designer, were excellent, The were hand selected for our renovation, and they were perfect for us. I'd like to keep them around! John, project manager, is so calm, so reassuring, and his attention to detail is unparalleled. Whatever it takes to get something done, John will do it. He takes care of the client which we appreciated so much. He really cares. The creativity of the design and the will to make what we wanted work was amazing to us. The assistance that Debbie gave walking us step by step through the selection process was invaluable, and we credit her with so much of our happiness with the end product. I could not have done it without her, and she has become a great friend through the process. The kitchen was completely opened up, and we were worried that the existing conditions would prevent us from getting exactly what we wanted. This was not the case, however. Magic happened! We got everything and more that we could have wanted. InSite completed the job on time and were very diligent about making sure that all punch list items were accomplished.

What is more wonderful than the first shower in the new bathroom or the one a month later? In this case, they just get better each time! Everything was done efficiently, professionally and with great courtesy. There were no messes for me to clean up.All the subs cleaned up after themselves daily. The project manager came by regularly to confirm status so that when I returned from overseas the work was completed to my satisfaction, and the bathroom was ready to be restocked. Whenever the need arises again, I will only call InSite.

We hired InSite Builders for a basement remodel based on a recommendation from a friend. We were happy with the communication from the staff, the experienced Project Manager, and the level of craftsmanship performed throughout our project. InSite handled everything from the architectural design to the permitting, and provided thorough supervision during the entire renovation. The specialty tile they suggested to us was great on our bare feet in the winter; the heating system was installed expertly and worked well; and our basement was warm and toasty all winter. Five -star rating from start to finish on our Elliott Road basement and four-bathroom remodel. Over the past few years I noticed In-Site doing work in our neighborhood and after talking with our neighbors and seeing how happy they were,I called In-Site and set up an appointment. My husband and I met with Stephen Gordon and were impressed with what his company offered. Because they work primarily in Bethesda's surrounding neighborhoods, Stephen understood what these homes needed when renovations or remodeling were called for. We have a large basement with a big rec room,laundry room, storage and a bathroom with a shower. We were looking for a fresh,airy space in the rec room, a remodel of the storage room, laundry room, and bath. Stephen immediately got our vision. Before meeting with him, we had gotten bids from two other contractors who also work in the area. With each of them we felt they really didn't understand what we were looking for. Bids came in and although In-Site was the highest they were willing and able to meet our budget with other good options and suggestions. Friends and neighbors had told us the importance of a good project manager who could handle problems quickly and efficiently. We met project manager Dennis Beane, liked him immediately , and signed the contract. The success of this renovation project was largely due to Dennis. Friendly and very competent, he kept the project moving on time, handling problems quickly and pleasantly. Daily he kept us abreast of what was going to happen. Dennis made sure things were done properly and we were happy with the result. The basement area is beautiful. In-Site also renovated three upstairs bathrooms and they also came out perfect. Here, too, Dennis helped us make decisions when we were unsure about some of the bathroom issues. His advice was always good. We love the new bathrooms. Lastly, In-Site continues to take care of their clients, After the project was completed in late fall, a minor issue came up with the gas fireplace installed in the basement. Dennis had someone fix the problem that week. To sum up, In-Site does excellent work and we are very satisfied customers.

Every day I look around my new kitchen and all the work Steve Gordon and InSite Builders did around our house, and I am grateful and delighted. Their commitment to quality and excellence is written all over the work they do.

InSite Builders has done several jobs for us. They completely removed an outdated master bathroom. They moved walls in our basement creating a great family room out of a mishmash of unusable rooms. The last job was adding a portico on the front of the house, replacing the front hall flooring, and renovating the powder room. Stephen Gordon was a true professional. He was available, approachable and responsive. He met with me weekly. He responded quickly to all phone calls and emails. His staff and subcontractors were pleasant, punctual and respectful. Remodeling projects are always disruptive and dirty but I felt that every effort was made to minimize these problems. I would hire them again and can recommend them wholeheartedly.
