We had the pleasure of working with J.M. Bryson Construction and team for our kitchen and mudroom renovation as well as our deck replacement. John and his team were great to work with. John was available throughout the entire project and we appreciate his communication, knowledge, and attention to detail. He was always responsive to questions we had and kept us updated with any changes in the schedule or timeline so we always knew what to expect. We also really appreciated Dani’s communication throughout! It was always easy to get in touch with her whenever needed. Prior to the project, we really were not sure what it was going to be like having people working in our living space every day for weeks – but having Jonathan and Paul working on our house was a pleasure. They were both always professional, available to answer questions, organized, and just calming to have around during such a big project. We are very happy with their work and attention to detail and definitely recommend JM Bryson. Thank you JM Bryson for everything!

John Bryson renovated our two bathrooms for us. Both rooms were substantially reconfigured, one especially so in that it was considerably enlarged, and we have enjoyed the results for years now. Everyone working under John was a pleasure to have in the house, and John himself was invariably a strong and cheerful presence. John wrote to me in one email: "My main goal, as always, is your satisfaction. I encourage you to voice any and all concerns you may have so that I can ensure we are meeting, and exceeding, your expectations." John consistently and thoroughly lived up to these words on our project. When we were concerned about how work was done John was quick to listen, was never resistant to our point of view, and always addressed any issues thoroughly. He was a pleasure to work with, and I am happy to recommend him to others.

He was on top of everything, and has great men working for him. I couldn’t have ask for anymore. He will never let you down.

Always on time and very thorough - excellent workmanship! John and his team kept us up to date on the project using CoConstruct - of course they were always available to discuss in person. It was still very helpful to have the app to refer to during off hours. We are extraordinarily happy with our new kitchen and mudroom!

Bryson is a great company to use for your remodel! Professional service from estimate to job completion. Communication is excellent and the final product is beautiful. We have used Bryson several times and they have been excellent every time!

John is very professional and managed our project through COVID shut-down on time and on budget. His team was wonderful. We had previously done an addition with a different contractor, and the entire process was stressful. We changed architects for the next phase of our project - a gutting of our first floor that included removing walls and building out our front entrance. GMT Designs provided us with our plans and had J.M. Bryson provide cost estimates. John walked us through every line item of the budget. We asked our questions, signed the contract, our first floor was demolished in Feb 2020, COVID shutdowns began March 2020, our renovation was complete in June 2020. For our project, John's team included electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, tile, foundation work, structural engineer, painting, flooring, and finished carpentry. Also, two specialty groups he had us work with, one for detailed kitchen design, and one for our two new sets of stairs, were fantastic. Working with J.M. Bryson was very different compared to past experiences. Issues were addressed with solid recommendations and not shoulder shrugs. Invoices were presented at agreed upon project milestones for exactly the amounts per the contract. He kept the project moving by getting the right people lined up to come in at the right times. When our project was done, we referred John to family, and they had the same great experience with his team.

When my husband and I downsized we decided to put a media area, workout space and bathroom in the basement. We had already used JM Bryson for a previous project in the home we had just sold. He had done an amazing job redoing the master bath so we reached out to him again for the basement project. What a fabulous job this company did. John, his daughter, Dani, and everyone else he sends into the home to do the project are respectful, masters at their craft, and efficient. We could not be happier to have hired JM Bryson to do the job because we know it would be done right.

John Bryson and his crew have completed two remodels for us. The first, was a gorgeous master bath remodel and the second a stunning new kitchen. John is polite, professional, and friendly and he always puts the quality of his work above all else. John's main carpenter, Paul is an absolute perfectionist in everything from faultless installation of cabinetry to flawless tiling to immaculate clean up every day. Even his electrical and plumbing subs are the best.

I am new to the area and didn’t have a clue about any construction firms in the area. Having been given two, I called J.M. Bryson and met John for a look through the area that was to be my in-law-suite in my daughter’s and son-in-law’s walk out basement. I am a stickler for quality workmanship and I got it with this firm. From the architect to the finish work, it was quality all the way. In addition, they were neat, professional,and courteous. I highly recommend this team to anyone and everyone.

John Bryson was the first contractor we met as we planned a remodel of our kitchen. After he left, I told my spouse that every other contractor would be compared to him; sure enough, they all paled in comparison. Not only is John focused on details and client service, but he is also extremely knowledgeable and has a very high standard of craftsmanship. He is easy to talk to and genuinely seems to enjoy building relationships with his clients. We partnered with John and Cypress Design on our kitchen remodel and were pleasantly surprised throughout the process. The design-build model really worked for us – there were no hidden fees or surprises and, because John and Cypress worked hand-in-hand, expectations were clear and roles were well-defined. Much of the work done on our space was completed by Paul, a true craftsman who could go hammer-to-hammer with the This Old House crew any day. I saw Paul almost every day – he supervised subs, addressed issues, and proactively reached out to make sure I was involved in decisions where necessary. Almost without exception, every sub was scheduled to avoid any downtime, and their work was held to the same incredibly high standard John sets for his own crew. Perhaps the easiest way to illustrate the type of person John is can be told with something that happened long after the kitchen project was complete. We were having some work done through RISE (completely unrelated to John’s crew or the kitchen project in any way) and one of their contractors damaged a water pipe. In a panic, my spouse called John for help. He guided her through everything she needed to know and offered to provide recommendations for restoration services. Of course we hired the plumbers we came to know during the kitchen remodel. Like John, they responded promptly and spent hours at our house that night to repair the damage. I would not hesitate to hire JM Bryson again for any project. In fact, we talk about “when” not “if” we’ll see John and Paul again. I’ve recommended them to others and look forward to working with them again.

John and his crew did a fabulous job in helping us complete our dream master bathroom. The bathroom came out perfect with no issues. The crew that he has worked with for many years are responsible, talented and dependable. From electricians, to plumbing, construction staff and tile work- everyone was easy to trust and deal with. If there were any questions, they helped to find the answers and worked with me, as the client. I'd hire them again for any other project needs.

We have been working with Bryson for a long time and they have done everything from the roof to the basement. This summer we replaced our old porch and added a patio. What a difference it made in our backyard and Bryson organized the whole project from dumpster to patio pavers. They always do remarkable work, extremely neat, organized, clean, reliable and trustworthy. Bryson always got back to us in a timely matter. They are very knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to handle issues that could arise. We would highly recommend JMBryson for any project. So much so that we are having him do another project for us this summer.
