JAS Design-Build is located in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. We staff and support an in-house design department, a custom cabinet shop, a general contracting group and interior designers. With 80 employees, we combine the service and attention of a small company with the efficiency and strengths of a large company. We strive to provide a process that is focused, creative, and collaborative, and a finished product that will be enjoyed for years. Creativity, efficiency and integrity are central to who we are and what we do. I've worked with JAS on a few projects now and can tell you that their team has proven to be great to work with. Their professionalism and attention to detail help to create an atmosphere ripe for ingenuity and innovation. They are a construction company made up of real people. They see the value in a great website which, I might add, one could spend a goodly amount of time perusing their projects page daydreaming about all your home projects you'd love to get done. I'd certainly recommend you call them and talk about the possibilities.

We've used JAS Design Build for three projects at our house. I love these guys they're smart, thoughtful, and do excellent work. One big consideration for me was the fact that we'd be living in the house during the various remodels & I didn't want anyone sketchy coming into our home either as a finish carpenter or subcontractor. JAS is really great at this: their employees are hardworking professionals as are the subs. There's always someone from JAS onsite if a sub is at your home. And they are excellent about cleaning up any messes they make & ensuring that the site is secure (both do my kids couldn't get into mischief nor any opportunistic passerby).

Shearer Painting

I have painted on JAS remodels for over 12 years; completing over 60 large and small projects in that time. Our last major project was the repainting of the Norvel Home (Historic Preservation Home in Seattle) in fall 2012. JAS Design-Build is among a very short list of top tier remodel contractors in Seattle. They maintain a tenured staff of designers and artisans who are skilled and dedicated to building homes its owners intend to live in for many years. For many of their clients it is their dream home they will retire in. Shearer Painting is privileged to be invited on any JAS project because as a team JAS (from owner to apprentice carpenter) only advocates for the highest quality of work and integrity.

We recently completed a remodel that included a new kitchen, built-in media center wall in living room, new hardwood floors, new light fixtures and painting. JAS Design Build was our architect/contractor. They did an incredible job - everything from planning the space, working with their designer and their management of top notched craftsman to work on the execution. Our remodel is beautiful, was completed on-time with no surprises . . . could not have asked for a better group of professional to trust such a big and personal project. Can't wait to think about remodeling bathrooms next!

Commented: may I ask the depth of the medicine cabinets?The depth is about 41/2-5" deep - but you can go as deep as your wall cavity allows.
