Kinning Design Build

After deciding to build a new house, we made a down payment towards a lot and completed a fairly detailed internet review of 25+ builders in the Lincoln, NE area. Kinning Design Build was our first choice to contact based upon their website, the reviews and ratings of others, their advertised willingness to build on our lot and one particular blueprint that fit our needs very well. We met with them and at the very first meeting received lists of their major sub-contractors and the owners, including contact information, for the homes they had previously built in Lincoln, and were encouraged to contact any of them for references. Wow. Very impressive, Kinning! We moved into our new home in March of this year and have been EXTREMELY happy with it’s quality. Yes, there were a few bumps along the way, but these were dealt with very professionally and in a manner that was completely acceptable to us. The firm uses Co-Construct software to document progress, costs, sub-contract charges, construction loan payments, custom choices, changes, etc., and this was all extremely well documented at every step along the way. We especially appreciated how attentive and available the Kinning’s were throughout the entire process, and also how willing they were to make modifications for us along the way. In summary, we found Kinning Design Build to be extremely honest, highly professional, and excellent managers of their sub-contractors.

When looking for a quality builder in a new city that we were moving to we reviewed their website and we found they are who they said they are; very honest and loyal. I called friends who I worked with in the past in the construction industry and they said; Kinning’s are the best. Matt and Mary were awesome to work with - upfront, friendly, and trustworthy. Mike was also a pleasure to work with. His work ethic and attention to detail is what you would hope for from his position. As with any new-build, problems can arise, but they were quick to solve any issues we had. Overall, we would recommend Kinning Design Build wholeheartedly.

KDB is wonderful to work with; I would hire them for any future projects! From bid to completion, they are thorough, and communicate efficiently and effectively. They kept our wants and needs to the forefront and encompass quality craftsmanship. I still look up at our home and think, "wow! I love it!"

We used KDB to build our home in Lincoln and loved working with them. They finished our home 3 weeks early and only $200 over budget. They were very thorough with the materials they used in their bid, helping us stick to our budget. Anytime we had questions they were quick to reply and fixed any problems in a timely manner. When you come to the end of your build and discover your builders have become your friends you realize that something priceless has happened. KDB is integrity. Sounds simple, but it is the basis of all transactions with this family owed company. Both homes we built with the Kinnings came in on budget and on time. The two homes were very different from each other in terms of design. One was a styled cottage, rich in character with an urban vibe about 10 years ago.. The most recent completed early February this year is a simple modern cabin in a rural prairie setting at the edge of the woods. We have been so very pleased with the two homes. Each is so different. Both built with care for the things that mattered most to us. The one thing that stands out about the Kinnings is that their word is gold. They are honest and worthy of our trust. They stand behind their work. We found that if a sub made a mistake KDB made sure that the error was fixed. If we needed a change order they were willing to adapt to our needs. We have also trusted the Kinnings for referrals to other services. The people they have sent us to had the same character traits as they do. Their excellent work and skills for what we needed matched the Kinnings ethics and standards. The word about town with the contractors they use is highly respectful of the Kinnings. "They are the best", and "subs love working for them", were common a expressions used as we made our rounds to choose finishes and appliances. If you are looking for the highest quality standard and honest integrity in a builder you will be pleased with Kinning Design Build.

We built our dream home with Kinning Design Build. They went above and beyond throughout the process to ensure we would be happy. Kinning Build Design exceeded our expectations on our recent house remodel. We appreciated their insight and ideas, their quality of work and their professionalism..
