About Us

kitHAUS designs and delivers modernist pre-fab modules that transform open spaces into anything-you-want hubs –– yoga studio, home office, writer retreat, guest room, country cabin, pop-up kiosk, reality-escape pod. You dream it. We build it –– custom-configured, on site, in days, tie-grid or off-grid. We pre-engineer at our factory, then transport the bundled-up kit to even the trickiest spot without heavy equipment thanks to a patented lightweight construction system. In 2005, kitHAUS set out to reinvent the world of pre-fab. Nearly a decade later, we’re still revolutionizing it.

Craftsmanship an dattention to detail from the crew is second to none. The build came out exactly as discussed. Tom and Will the owners were enthusiastic and always on hand to answer any questions, throughout the whole build process.

Absolute first rate service and quality- Kit Haus made it easy from 1st bid to final installation. No need for permit for >120sq. Was key in Malibu where such things can take much longer. Love my Kit Hauz and plan to get another soon.

We are thrilled with our new Kithaus! We wanted to add a gym space to our home with minimal impact on our existing structure. Everything from start to finish was perfect. The total installation time was 4 days. Tom and Will paid attention to every detail. Any issue that was brought up was addressed immediately. True pros! It is perfect:)

Tom Sandonato and the kitHaus team provided excellent service from concept design to finished installation. We needed extra office/play space for our modern/architectural home and Tom designed two K3s with a connecting deck to meet our needs. kitHaus saved us thousands in design fees and the quality of their construction materials is unmatched in the pre-fab field. This additional space was instrumental in the subsequent sale of our home.

We needed to add flexible living and work space in our backyard. The Kithaus K3 and K4 were perfect for our needs. The installation was a long weekend with no issues and after 4 years, the units continue to look great. We're big fans!

I can't praise KitHAUS highly enough. I needed a home office and my K4 is a dream come true, not only because of the super elegant, modern, intelligent design and beautiful, luxe, eco-friendly materials, but also because the wonderful KitHAUS team wouldn't settle for anything less than perfection, down to the last detail. This kind of commitment to quality is rare -- especially when the installation is done so quickly and efficiently. GREAT company. GREAT product.

Our experience with KitHaus, management, staff and our finished haus, could not have been better. Tom and Will bent over backwards to help us through a project that was KitHaus's first permitted full-time residence. Like any first time experience, there were challenges unique to our location, needs and desires and KitHaus worked tirelessly to make sure we'd be happy, and we are very happy with our solid and beautiful little haus. We've been living here for four years and feel very fortunate to have found KitHaus.
