We have worked with Macnon Builders on several projects and highly recommend them. Teak Barton is awesome. Teak is personable, easy going but detailed and professional. We collaborate with Teak as the kitchen and bath designers on his projects. The result is satisfied homeowners! One special thing Teak does is an awesome weekly email update on all aspects of the project. We wish all builders offered this service. The emails keep everyone up to date and aware of the overall progress.

We have had a long and very positive relationship with Macnon Builders. Their custom home building company built our beautiful, two story home in the suburbs nearly 13 years ago. The service was outstanding, the layout and materials are exceptional, and I can truly say that every decision has withstood the test of time. My husband and I were referred to Teak (Macnon Builders) though our interior designer. We had just bought a newly rehabbed SFH in the city and had some minor projects for him to complete. Teak was such a pleasure to work with and continues to be responsive to any random questions my husband may have about our house (which are numerous!) First, Teak is just a pleasure to be around- very laid back, patient, responsive, looks like he just washed up on shore from some tropical island (he makes me miss California in a big way!) Teak installed soundproof windows on our main floor and master bedroom, put insulation in between our main floor and basement, and rescued our cat who had fallen 10+ feet down a crevice in our laundry room (true hero!). To begin with the windows, we obviously hear many noises of "city life" living in the city. My husband was floored that he could hear buses and cars from our family room (eye roll from both Teak and I). Our master bedroom also backed up to the alley, which could get rowdy at times. Instead of agreeing to install soundproof windows to replace every window in our house (my husband's idea), Teak talked my husband into ordering just two windows to test them out and to see if they made a difference ( a very cost effective option). What a great idea! Once they were installed, we noticed a huge difference immediately and it was not necessary to replace every window in our house. After Teak's crew completed the insulation project (fantastic job!), I heard one of our cats crying in the middle of the night and could not figure out where the sound was coming from, other than it sounded like he was inside a wall in our laundry room. I called Teak the next morning wondering if our cat had managed to climb into a hole in the wall while they were here doing work the previous day. He assured me that there was no way the cat climbed into the wall, but offered to stop by that morning and check things out since my husband was overseas at the time. Teak discovered that our cat had fallen from the top cabinets in our laundry room down a small opening and essentially was trapped with no way to climb out. He took off one of the floorboards connected to our cabinetry and alas- happy cat! I really could not recommend Teak more for not only his knowledge, craftsmanship, but more importantly for his character. He's the first person we call when something goes wrong and he has given us numerous referrals over the years. Thank you, Teak!

No matter how big or small the project is every project goes very smoothly. We had Teak from Macnon Builders redo half our home. The house was originally built in the 1950s and needed a huge update. Teak help us design a beautiful master suite with a retreat bathroom, redid 3 other bathrooms and 3 bedrooms from top to bottom. My bathroom feels like a spa and a year later I am still amazed that it is mine!
