Marnie Homes builds high-end, custom beach homes in and around Bethany Beach, Delaware. As a fifth-generation builder, founder Marnie Oursler combines a builder's knowledge with a designer's sensibility. She is also a writer, speaker, and consultant, as well as an advocate for sustainable building initiatives, including “We Build American,” a national campaign with 84 Lumber seeking to increase domestic jobs by incentivizing the use of American-made building products. Marnie is also the star of "Big Beach Builds" on DIY Network. In 2012, Marnie Custom Homes built a house constructed from nearly 100% American-made materials, the first attempt made in recent Delaware history. Marnie Custom Homes also constructed the first LEED Certified "Green" home in Delaware, in 2009.
