About Us

Matt brings over twenty five years of architectural and design experience to Design Group Three. He spent two years as an intern prior to his graduation in May of 2000 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning. Since then he has dedicated his professional career to the remodeling industry and works directly with his clients on every aspect of their home improvement needs. Matt’s work has been recognized by the National Association of Remodeling Industry(NARI) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association(NKBA). In addition to his award winning designs, he has a strong knowledge of construction and computer aided drafting. His education and experience has allowed him to be a part of a wide range of projects including bathroom and kitchen renovations, large-scale additions, whole house remodel projects, and custom new home design. Matt is also a NARI Green Certified Professional and offers design strategies, building techniques, and sustainability practices at the request of his clients.

First thing you’ll notice upon meeting Matt is that he’s extremely easy to talk to. Not only does he have humor and wit, he also gets down to business in a pleasant way: he knows what questions to ask and when to offer exciting alternatives. Communication is key in any project. He’ll put your mind at ease. The second thing you’ll notice is he knows his stuff. He’s been in the business for a few decades and it shows. With our kitchen remodel he brought countless ideas and insights, starting with our must-haves and then branching into options that we did not even think possible. Seriously we were blown away by his creativity and ability to see the big picture in creating a space that was stylish AND functional. Obviously the kitchen is the most used room in our house and it is a daily pleasure to eat and gather in this transformed space! Thanks, Matt!

They excel in design and planning of the project, suggestions on choices, communication on any issues or delays, and quality of their workmanship. Matt was excellent to work with and made all our design goals come to fruition. He was able to navigate the challenges presented by a home built in 1936 and his designs made it possible to maintain the integrity of the period style of the home, while simultaneously making our newly renovated space feel modern and functional. He also was very proactive and communicative while dealing with challenging supply chain issues.

Commented: What tiles did you use in the shower.? Love the colour - very bungalowIt is a ceramic or porcelain tile made by Sonoma. However, it has been discontinued since the project was completed in 2007.
