McKean Schor Construction did our whole home renovation and interior design! From start to finish we were so impressed by the care and professionalism of their team. Our home is a century home which presented it’s own set of challenges and unexpected issues that were all resolved seamlessly by Jamie and his team. The interior design was another challenge as were were wanting character and an NYC vibe but weren’t sure where to start. McKean Schor team led us to the best design and sourced products we never though we would find (within our budget)… the results are stunning! Overall we were incredibly happy and would highly recommend them!

Mckean Schor did an amazing job on our indoor and outdoor renovations. The whole team is super friendly and reliable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to build or renovate their home!

I would certainly recommend this company. I needed all new windows for my home. They measured, ordered, removed and disposed of the old ones. The then installed the new ones, added the trim around them inside and caulked and sealed the outside. I am a fairly handy guy, so I was interested in their process and the quality of the job. I was not disappointed. All the joints on the trim were perfect, even at the corners. You will see a lot of professionals use caulk to hide poor joints. They did not have to use caulk on the trim because the joints were tight and fit like a glove. They even cleaned up after themselves and checked with me to ensure I was satisfied. They were fast, efficient, friendly and great to work with. They did it all for a great price (I compared). I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

In late 2017, we purchased a home that required a variety of changes to make it our “forever home”. During our initial walk through of the home with McKean Schor Construction (“MSC”) they listened to our thoughts and provided their perspective, offering multiple options and suggestions. Given the age of the home, some issues were expected but we also experienced unforeseen issues. Each step along the process, MSC walked us through the topic, explained what we were looking at, what it meant, and provided options and/or their perspective on the best path forward. Their transparency and open communication, both during and after the construction, was refreshing. MSC’s organizational skills and flexibility allowed them to keep to the original completion date for occupancy despite some of the unforeseen challenges. A number of items in our home are not what people would consider “common” and therefore challenging to design. MSC was able to be creative with things such as a walk-in cedar closet, a glass refrigerated wine wall and redesign of the stairs. MSC thinks outside the typical “construction box” and finds creative ways to make the changes their client desires. Hopefully our comments provide some insight into our experience with McKean Schor Construction and why we strongly recommend them to anyone looking for professionals who both listen and respect their clients, time and money. We also hired them to update our previous home after we moved into our forever home!

McKean Schor Construction was such a pleasure to work with and they were able to design my home project with such ease. They made a very anxious time for me so pleasurable. Beautiful people and design work.
