Metzger Design is a full service design + build firm specializing in new home construction and renovations of all sizes, shapes and budgets. We are located in Virginia Beach but will consider projects all along the I-64 corridor. We offer contemporary and transitional design aesthetics coupled with a passion to create spaces that are efficient, affordable, and unique. Our ability to design and construct just about anything offers our clients a seamless and thoughtful experience whether building from the ground up or renovating a portion of their current home. Our business philosophy starts with high quality and boutique service for each of our clients. We manage only a handful of projects at a time in order to maintain personalized design and construction services...from concept sketches all the way through move-in. In fact, it's not unusual that your designer may also participate in building out fine carpentry details on site. In addition to a dedication for top notch service, we are also enthusiastic about the amazing history surrounding us. Our team is comprised of designers and contractors with degrees in Architecture and Architectural History from the University of Virginia who have a passion and great respect for the abundance of historic structures in Virginia. Among other certifications and affiliations, we are LEED Green Associates through the U.S. Green Building Council and strive to develop sustainable and energy efficient projects.
