What a great experience dealing with Blake & the Microworks Handyman team! I was so impressed with the service I received, I've had them back for an additional project. I received my quotes quickly, and they were detailed and clear. They are very thoughtful and careful when working inside my home and great with the pets wanting to supervise. Work was completed in lickity-split time and to my complete satisfaction. The attention to detail exceeded my expectations! And the final cost was exactly as quoted. I can sincerely & highly recommend Microworks for all your repair projects.

The inspection report for the condominium we were purchasing highlighted some significant moisture seepage issues with the master bathroom shower, and potential sealing integrity issues in the other bathroom. As out of town purchasers, after having a recommended handyman company break their promise to us we were faced with a scheduling timeline emergency. We looked for a reputable replacement and found Microworks Handyman Ltd. —Our dealings with Microworks were excellent at every step. They were responsive to our need, arrived exactly at scheduled appointment times, were knowledgeable, and most importantly, they did quality work. Discussing the logistics and risks related to the issues identified in the condo inspection report with them really helped alleviate our concerns and choose a solution—caulking replacement (and application where missing) and grout cleaning and sealing—that provided sound mechanical integrity but was at the same time economical. —Microworks have demonstrated themselves to be organized, honest and accountable and we are happy to therefore be able to recommend them to others.

Blake and team have done an amazing job on our home improvement projects. The quality of work has been excellent, they are punctual and they leave the place clean and tidy.

Blake repaired so many items around my home that I didn't have to hire separate contractors, Microworks did it all ! His quotes were reasonable, very friendly and great communication. I find Blake to be very meticulous which is who you want, someone like him that pays attention to the details. You can see the quality of his work in the details. I contacted him because mice were getting into my home. He came up with a genius idea and the work he did was so professional looking that I gave him a list of other repairs. He will definitely be my contractor from now on and I highly recommend him to anyone. I'm so very happy with his work !

Very happy to have found Microworks. Blake and his team did a fencing project for us a few years ago and it went very well. This year we required a fence repair as a large tree in our yard fell over onto the fence and also we wanted a new gate. Blake came, and … just like that … a fixed fence and new gate. It is very reassuring to know of a company you can depend on for timely and properly done work outside or inside your home.

We recently completed a substantial project with Blake and his team at Builder Works (Brian, Angus, and sometimes Joel). We are thrilled with the result. The fixed fee arrangement alleviated all our concerns with potential cost overruns and the inevitable challenges that come up with any project. Blake provided very regular updates on timing, progress and addressed all our questions promptly and patiently. Blake and his team are very professional, respectful, and keep an organized and clean work site. While not critical for the end result, given the amount of time we spent with the Builder Works team, it is worth noting that they are all great people and we enjoyed working with them! Builder Works philosophy is to provide a very high quality result without compromise and an agreed price. This certainly what we experienced. We would highly recommend Builder Works to anyone looking for a contractor and will certainly be using them again on our next project.

Blake and his team were a pleasure to work with and are extremely skilled and professional. We contracted them to carry out a renovation around our gas fireplace and were very happy with the end result. They were skillfully able to identify and communicate challenges / issues and were quick to offer sound options and resolutions, making the process run smoothly and efficiently. We had a few delays to the project based around some of these changes which were required in order to comply with building code requirements, but in the end, I'm glad we took the time to look into alternate plans because what we ended up with (a minimalist fireplace trim with a floating reclaimed wood mantle) looks even better than what we had planned originally! We couldn't be happier with the work, and would happily recommend Blake and BuilderWorks to anyone else looking to use their services.

Blake and his team are very professional and totally honest. They keep their promises and there are no surprises or hidden charges. We hired them to totally redo our bathroom , including new floor tiling, cabinetry, fixtures, etc. Blake provided a detailed quote in advance . Although there were some delays beyond his control due to supply chain problems Blake honored his quote and absorbed whatever additional costs resulted from those delays. Everyone who worked on our site were clean, respectful, and left the site clean and tidy at the end of each day. Their attention to detail and quality was fantastic. We are so happy with the quality of the finished product that we have referred Blake and his team to some of our friends and other family members who have now engaged Builderworks for their projects. We have also engaged Blake and his team to do a few smaller projects. Over the years we have hired other contractors to build houses and do renovations. We can confidently state that Builderworks is the most professional and reliable of any of the contractors that we have worked with. We have no hesitation in recommending them.

Microworks did a deck resurfaceing for us.They removed tight knot cedar that was in good condition but was very hard to maintain and repurposed all usable portions of the removed cedar.This was replaced with a Timberteck product. The result is beautiful and should be very low maintainance. The workmanship is excellent . They took the time to do an excellent job.Clean up at the end of the project was very good.They were a pleasure to have around during the project and all questions were very promptly and completely answered.We would certainly use them again for any projects that they would undertake. We would highly reccommend Micro works to anyone on the North Shore looking for a contractor for a small procect. Ross and Jean Clark
