We hired Sam to help us with the design phase of our project. We had been stumped trying to figure out what could be possible with our space. Samantha listened, took notes and asked all the right questions to understand what we needed. She and her team helped us work through different ideas and provided us with 3d renderings that finally helped us visualize what our space could look like. Although we couldn't use her as our architect due to being out of state ,we learned a ton as a result of working with Samantha and we can go into our project with more clarity.

Samantha listened to our wants and needs and created a unique design that made our house feel more open and functional for our family. After three failed meetings with other companies, Samantha created a floor-plan for us based on our vision and priorities. We wanted our small (864 sq ft) house to remain a cozy single story and maintain original charm. She gave us just that. We now have a 3 bed 2 bath home on one story filled with natural light and a kitchen I would have never dreamed of in a St. Paul 1923 home!

I’ve followed JP & Co for several years, loving their style and detail. We needed to update a bathroom in our 1950s rambler, but before delving into just one project, we hired Samantha to help us think through all of our potential remodeling projects. She designed a whole home concept plan for us that we could work through in stages. We continued working with her on design plans for our bathroom/mudroom plans. What I most appreciated about Samantha and JP&Co was how they helped walk us through this process. We needed hand holding in the beginning, not knowing at all what we were getting into nor where to start, even just color schemes! She designed the plans, collaborating along the way, curating design items for our selection and simplifying a very complex world of remodeling. Samantha and JP&CO designed and built a beautiful and functional house. I was not involved in the design/build process, but instead purchased the house after it was finished. However, the thoughtfulness in layout fits perfectly into how we live. Additionally, the house is situated to take advantage of the location--we get so much light, but don't have views of the neighbors. The house is very well built and energy efficient. Finally, Samantha/JP&CO provided excellent customer service--explaining in details features of the house, and fixing a minor tilling issue that popped up after about 10 months. I would highly recommend their homes!

It was last summer that we decided to hire JP&CO to do our remodeling of our 1926 bungalow. We didn't shop around for contractors as we live across the street from two homes they had worked on, and we were convinced they were who we were going with from the start. After a long winter, a couple of set backs (mostly weather related), we are now back into our amazingly beautiful and comfortable home. To say it is perfect is an understatement. Samantha heard what we wanted and needed and did it all. Her ability to get all the details right more than once made us just shake our heads in wonderment. All of the people who worked so hard over the last several months on our home are truly the best! JP&CO has chosen the greatest team to make their company one of the best in the industry. And we are so proud to call them friends. It started with a crack in our basement floor and blossomed into our dream home. We have zero regrets - none. Bob and I have stayed in a lot of beautiful places throughout our travels, and we are in agreement that this place, our very own home, is the nicest of all. I purchased a rambler in 2016 and hired JP&CO to complete the remodel, which included adding a second floor addition. That was the best decision I’ve ever made, as I couldn’t be happier with the final product. We were always impressed with the smart use of design and the quality. Her designs are practical and well thought out. We are very happy with our remodel and Samantha made the whole process easy. The whole JP&CO crew is made up of great people who are also great at their specialties. Not to be overlooked is that fact they came in on time and on budget! We turned our 2 bed 1 bath into a 3 bed 2 bath that included a small addition and a finished basement.

We have been working with JP&Co on an extensive addition. Samantha has been great to work with; very organized and detailed. She has designed clever solutions and helped us think thru many obstacles. As I sit in my newly remodeled town home, I am truly thankful for the beautiful home JP & Co provided for me. I often feel like I never want to leave. Samantha designed my kitchen just the way I had envisioned and I love cooking and spending time with friends and family enjoying the new space. And the doors and woodwork are perfect. We worked with Samantha and Pete to remodel our kitchen and bathrooms. In a nutshell, we couldn't have been more pleased. Samantha's creative eye brought our kitchen to life and a freshness we could not have imagined was possible. Beyond the brilliant design work, the execution by their team was flawless with cleanliness maintained each day for the duration of the project. They paid attention to detail without compromising the big picture, listened carefully and worked with us to accommodate our input. Today, our kitchen is simultaneously functional and lively while the bathrooms and paint combinations are relaxed and comfortable. For the level of expertise and knowledge they bring, they are still open, engaging and among the finest to work with.

We hired JP & Co. this fall to do a major renovation on our "saltbox" style home. We moved in three years ago and wanted to "jazz up" the outside of our home as well as take care of some miscellaneous upgrades . The projects were as follows: 1. A full-length front porch added on where there had been nothing at all. The porch is 8 ft. in depth, has a barrel vault over the new front door, and four columns across the front. We used Trex flooring. New recessed lighting, two new coach lights, and one outdoor chandelier light up the porch. It is roomy, classy and gives a warm--almost Southern--feel to the entry of our home. 2. Old gray vinyl siding was torn off the entire home, and new Smart Side (wood composite) soft green siding was put on. New Tyvek wrap was added/replaced where needed. The new siding has a very durable and solid feel and has completely changed how the home looks from all angles. Edges, gutters and all extra painting looks crisp and well-done. Chocolate brown shutters were added to the upper front windows where there had been none. 3. A completely new sidewalk approach was added from the driveway to the front porch. It is stamped concrete and looks elegant. The front was completely landscaped with various shrubs, perennials and bark mulch. 4. A few interior maintenance-type projects were done at the same time as the exterior projects including: painting, rim joist and attic insulation, and window trim. The project turned out even better than we had pictured! From the initial planning meetings to the completion of the whole project, the entire JP & Co. staff and subs were easy to work with, very responsive to our questions, creative and diligent. The project timeline fit in well with our schedule and expectations. The quality of work is top-notch and we have received so many compliments on our project. (People hardly recognize our home compared to "before") We would choose to work with Peter, Samantha, Jeff and the whole crew again in a heartbeat. They guided us through the project from concept to completion with a high level of expertise. They listened to us and took time to understand our ideas, and then guided us toward the most effective way to achieve the best possible outcomes. Our project consisted of a partial tear down and rebuild/remodel of our existing home. Our experience with JP&CO was a very positive one. With the large scale project we had done, with demoing bathrooms and bedrooms, we could not have been more pleased with how JP&CO was able to accommodate our needs and schedule the subcontractors(which were all very professional) to work around us while we lived in the home as the project was being done. We now have a complete home that is custom to our needs. Samantha was able to work with us from the planning stages of our remodel to make our home function as a home based business and after work hours a retreat for us. Samantha was always professional and pleasant to work with. She provided us with several choices for fixtures and styles throughout the project. She was knowledgeable about structural matters and encouraged us to do our own research as well. When we brought up our own ideas, she was easy to work with in discussing feasibility of those ideas and making suggestions that would work well and still make us happy. She was nearly always available and responsive the same day when we needed to discuss issues or ideas. At times, we wished she had been on site to check on things more frequently, as we had questions about changes that contractors needed to make but we weren't aware of before they had been made. Her company was possibly too busy at the time and she simply didn't have time to be everywhere she would like to be. However, when the project lasted longer than we expected and we wanted to move in on a Friday night, she came to help their cleaning person clean after hours to make sure we could do so. That gesture was an example of the kind of person she is - which is someone who really cares about her job, customers, and genuinely wants to help others.

JP&CO did a remodel of our kitchen, living room, entry and laundry rooms. They prepared options that stayed within our budget and ensured our preferences were both in keeping with the style of the home and were highly functional. Our property had demanding engineering components as a portion of the home was built in 1890's and had many remodels. Several rooms were torn down to the base of home and the team was able to deliver results that were focused on high quality structural support and effect use of space. The end product was a lovely, highly functional, home that perfectly matches the property and our lifestyle. Samantha and Pete were available in a moments notice and very concerned with our happiness and the quality of the project. Even months after project completion, their commitment to excellent service did not waiver.

Although this project was small in comparison to others completed by JP&Co, I felt like we were the most important customers they worked with. We had a bathroom expansion/ remodel; a portion of a basement remodel and many other updates such as new doors and trim through the house plus a kitchen counter and sink. The amount of assistance (I call it hand-holding) was extraordinary. Samantha was patient and her knowledge of design helpful every step of the way. This was all done .... on budget! We are thoroughly enjoying our new space.

RE: 1941 bathroom transformed into jewel box without footprint change! Samantha and JP&Co undertook a total renovation of my main bathroom, built in 1941. The space was small and challenging with no storage whatsoever and since it was a total renovation including new plumbing into the basement - the footprint was staying the same for budget purposes. What once was a dilapidated space is now a sophisticated but soothing 100% new "jewel box" complete with an 8 foot high custom-made wall/storage unit, stunning tile patterns, a bathroom cabinet with double inside mirrors and more touches that maximize the space. It literally is the nicest room in my house and has made my life better each and every day. Samantha and JP&Co were a joy to work with as they cared as much about the project as I did and it showed. Aside from the project being on time, within budget, very competitively priced - the work itself was exceptional. Many people have commented on the quality of the tile work alone -it is that stunning. Samantha is a gifted designer and an extraordinary manager who handles any road bump with calmness and more patience than I've ever seen before. I highly recommend Samantha and JP&Co. Samantha designed and led the remodeling of our 20 year old, outdated home. She picked up on our style, our likes and dislikes, and stayed within the stated budget and (very rapid) schedule. We've lived with the remodel for over a year and are continually impressed by the feel of the results. We live in a home built in 1921, with a kitchen that was desperately in need of updating. It lacked storage, seating, functionality and general esthetics. We knew that there were certain elements we wanted to include in our ideal kitchen design, but we also had resolved that certain elements just weren’t possible…until we met JP and Co’s Samantha Grose. After our first meeting, Samantha came back and presented a plan that sent us on our way to our dream kitchen! Samantha incorporated everything that we wanted, along with a kitchen island (something we thought was not a possibility due to the room’s size). Being skeptical, we requested that she re-measure the space repeatedly, when Samantha taped off the new floorplan on the existing floor so we could assure ourselves that indeed “it would work.” Her concept of a rolling island on wheels was something that we had never considered. Having this valuable counter, storage and seating space made an eat-in kitchen a reality, yet allowed us the ability to create space where and when we needed it. Samantha found ways of redirecting plumbing and heating ducts, ( a feat that we had deemed impossible ) which allowed us to open the wall between the kitchen and dining rooms. This created additional seating and changed the once-isolated room into a more interactive space. Samantha and the talented team from JP and Co took great care in our home and had pride in the work that they do. We were impressed by how they would collaborate on the smallest of details, always including us in these types of discussions. Samantha made her presence known during the whole construction process, and was open and available to our constant questions/concerns. The entire JP and Co team worked hard to make our vision come to life…and we couldn’t be happier with the result!

When we decided to remodel our home we weren’t interested in creating a bigger house, but wanted a more efficient kitchen with room to cook and host large parties. At the bare minimum we wanted our kitchen and green and pink bathroom (circa1952) remodeled. We presented our wish list to JP&CO and they assured us they could give us our dream home and still stay within our budget. My wife and I had the privilege to work with Samantha on a full basement-finishing project. We had been familiar with Samantha's work prior to our relationship with her due to the many homes she has done in our area.
