My wife and I have done numerous construction and renovation projects over the years. Most of our experiences have been negative. Old Hillsboro Building Company is the first one that was 100 percent positive. They exceeded our expectations. They were thoughtful and thorough on the front end. They under-promised and over-delivered. They communicated with us every step of the way. They delivered our project on time and on budget. We could not be happier with the results and would happily use them again.

Working with Old Hillsboro was easy. The quote from OHBC was the most thorough of the three companies that came to the house. The initial design/layout meetings were helpful and allowed us to understand the scope of the work to be done and to find out what was even possible. Things were done the way we were told they would be and my questions and comments were responded to quickly. I will definitely call OHBC when we're ready to do more renovation.

Great company to work with. Very professional, our builder was quick to respond to our questions and communication was easy and we were kept up to date with all our progress. The craftsmanship was excellent, our home is beautiful.

The professionals I worked with at OHBC were of the highest caliber. Eddie Miles, Randy Roberts, Jeff Killebrew and in particular, Jordan Shaffer. Every one of them extremely skilled and knowledgeable, meticulous in the desire that the work be done right and warm human beings with great senses of humor. The standard for them is to exceed expectations. Every job has a hiccup or two; the test is how it is handled and they did not disappoint. Their communication throughout the project was superb which is highly unusual. If there was a six star rating, I would choose it. We did a complete remodel of the upstairs including gutting two full bathrooms, paint, carpet, light fixtures, doors, hardware, top to bottom all new. We are thrilled with the professional results. I recommend this company without hesitation.

Historic home major repairs. Plumbing, electrical repairs. New column replacement to porch. Plaster repair and replacement, painting and guttering. Extremely well done to codes and historic district registry requirements.

We can't say enough about how wonderful OHB has been throughout our home build! We have dealt with plenty of builders who say they'll be on-site every day and then just send subcontractors out without any supervision and who never are very willing to come back for touch-ups and repairs if something goes wrong. OHB is so far from that dishonest type of business. Jim was on site with his tools in hand almost every single day, even going as far as fixing my then 3-year-old's little toy hammer when it broke. Any time something has come up, which things do with any new home, Jim has been so quick to remedy it. They CARE. They don't just build homes, they build a relationship, too. It might sound cheesy, but we truly feel we've made friends out of this journey to go along with our gorgeous home that was built so carefully and so beautifully. These guys are top notch, 100%. They also saved the day when our home that we were selling had a flood 2 weeks before we were to close on it and 2 weeks before we moved into our new home. I have never felt so blessed to have a team rally around us like that before. It could have so easily been a nightmare, but they were willing to tackle that for us and save the day. I can't ever put into words how thankful I am for that! Thank you, Eddie, Jim, Jessica and everyone at OHB! We are so grateful for you all and we love our home with all our hearts.

Over the past 10 years, Old Hillsboro has completed three major home projects for us (home expansion, covered porch, and most recently, a master bathroom remodel). They are highly dependable, communicating issues well, and finishing with very high quality, beautiful work! We highly recommend them!
