After living in our house for more than 45 years, it was time to make changes, especially in the kitchen. We called on Precision Construction Group to accomplish several much needed updates. Our kitchen was demolished down to the studs and completely transformed. In addition to the new kitchen, PCG did cabinetry work and painted in several rooms. When we mentioned other construction and demolition projects inside and out, they were receptive to our requests and did the work beautifully. Their employees and sub-contractors were respectful of the fact that we were living in the house while the work was done. They left the rooms and yard clean each day. Rick Vinyard and Ashley Blanchard listened, made suggestions, and made sure we were pleased every step of the way. Rick was meticulous in getting the details correct even if he had to do the work himself. Thanks to them, our new kitchen is just what we envisioned. We have really enjoyed all the updates since we were at home so much during the Covid Pandemic.

My husband and I have known Rick Vinyard, III, President of Precision Construction, for the last six years. During that time, his company has done three jobs for us; two renovations and, most recently, helping us with a wooden bedroom floor that was buckling. The two renovations were both completed in the time promised and were even more beautiful than we could have imagined. The mystery of the buckling floor took some painstaking work by Mr. Vinyard, but he did pinpoint the cause, and then helped us get it remediated. Rick Vinyard from PCG built our dream home in 2014 and rebuilt it in 2016 after a flood. He was the only contractor that we considered for the rebuild, and he was working at our house before the water fully receded. He worked non-stop to allow us to move home in time to celebrate Christmas to a house that was as good as or even better than before the flood. He has also worked with our insurance adjuster as an advocate on our behalf. We'll always be grateful for everything Rick did for us during a difficult time.

As a residential architect, I am always on the lookout for top quality contractors to execute my designs. Several years ago, I was fortunate enough to meet one that has proven himself worthy to be in that category, and his name is Rick Vinyard. Since we met, I have been recommending Rick frequently and he has done an excellent job of translating my designs from paper to completed projects, while keeping our clients extremely happy along the way. Professionally, Rick does excellent work- he has very qualified employees and sub-contractors, and puts out the highest quality product, while often being personally involved on the jobsite. He is very good at managing finances and time, and thus has an excellent record of delivering projects on time and on budget. He is also highly organized and keeps his clients informed and involved from start to finish. On the personal side, the words I would best use to describe Rick would be honest, trustworthy, dedicated and conscientious. I have worked with a lot of contractors through the years, and these qualities are hard to find. As we began to put ideas on paper and start with our house plans, we did a very thorough search for the perfect contractor to build this home that we waited 11 years to build. In doing our research, all arrows pointed to PCG. From the very beginning, Rick and his staff surpassed all of our expectations. I didn't get just a wonderful, amazingly talented contractor, he is a master craftsman equipped with a team that worked with me to ensure everything went smoothly. And it DID. Before we even cleared our land, we had a lengthy meeting. PCG didn't just say "Yes, we will build your home". They went above and beyond. Rick sat with us for hours, getting to know us, our family. He wanted this not only to be a stunning home, but one that fit our lives perfectly. I've never seen or heard of a company caring so much before the first tree was cleared. He was with us every step of the way, and when I was in doubt about choosing a distinct style for the trim in my kitchen, tile, crown molding, all of those many choices there are to make- he would tell my what he thought would be best. His vision for elegant perfection is his gift. Every choice we made was the right one. It was better than what my ideas could have ever been. Also, in building my home, Rick's passion for this project often brought me to tears. He meticulously added his unique talent to make this house not only the best built house in terms of structure, energy efficiency, sound, traffic patterns, etc. but a house that was equally functional and has a "wow factor" to anyone who enters. During construction, there are always changes to be made, options to make an area even better. We made changes, and I was initially hesitant with change. Each and every one of Rick's suggestions were not only better, but blew me away. Towards the end of the project, I literally would say "What would you do? What do you see for this area?" The trust I had with him was indescribable. His suggestions were pure perfection. I still pull up in my driveway and can't believe this is my home. Every part of this project was exciting, stress free, enjoyable, and beautiful. I cannot express how much I enjoyed the entire process. How many people can say that? I was warned by many that building a home was one of the most stressful things a marriage can go through. Well, we had a completely opposite experience with PCG. I have worked with Precision Construction Group numerous times over the last 15 years for both my home and my office. The work that is done by Rick Vinyard is beyond compare. He is enthusiastic, meticulous but most of all he is passionate about his work and that is reflected in the finished product. He devotes his time to the project to do what needs to be done to get it completed as quickly as possible to avoid any more disruption than is necessary. If you want a team approach with attention to detail, this is your builder. Every step of the project we would discuss not only what we had in the blue print, but what his thoughts were regarding traffic patterns, and how the house needed to function for us. With that being said, changes were made from our original design for the better. I painted houses for 8 years through high school and college so I have been around construction and I was very impressed by such passionate craftsmanship. Just an example from a guys perspective, the bracing between the studs, which you never see because it's covered, was in a straight line throughout the house. The PCG team was outstanding. Our remodel and addition were very challenging and they made it easy and comfortable. Our project include 1100 sq ft demo and 1400 sq ft addition with a difficult challenge to join old roof to new. It also included a pool remodel which also fell into the PCG area of expertise. It was imperative that we had the skill of their team to do this project correctly. They are professional, knowledgeable, and adhere to the highest quality standards. Our project was on time and on budget. We posed an additional challenge in that we stayed in the home for the entire project, which started the day our last child was born. I arrived home from the hospital that day and the major demo was done. The laundry was moved and working in a temporary location, and we had hot water despite the fact the old heater was in the demo part of the structure. We have high praise for Precision group and I would recommend them as the very best.

This contractor did a complete renovation of our 22-year-old kitchen and, separately, a complete renovation of our 22-year-old master bath. Both jobs were done within budget and in a timely fashion. The end result from each job exceeded our expectations. Not a week goes by when a visitor to our home remarks about how beautiful our new kitchen and master bath are. Equally important, we found the owner of the contracting company, Rick Vinyard, a complete professional in every respect. During the two jobs, when issues popped up, Rick was on top of them with solutions. While we choose to live inside our home during each of these two separate projects, and that was inherently inconvenient, Rick made the projects move along as fast as humanly possible, while maintaining the highest caliber of workmanship.

Precision has done many projects for us, most notably, a bedroom/bathroom addition to our family home, construction of an outdoor kitchen, remodeling the patio, and building an elevated retaining wall in our backyard. Precision was also instrumental in remodeling our daughter's home when she found that it had problems that needed fixing. We have had them back a few times since then, to tend to other maintenance issues in our home. Precision was a pleasure to work with. Rick truly went above and beyond to ensure that the entire process went smoothly, and the result is beautiful. We love our downstairs addition, and we especially love our back yard. Precision does not cut corners, and they do not skimp on quality of materials or workmanship. We are detail-oriented people, having lived in many houses over the years that needed work done, and Precision did not disappoint. The crews were punctual and friendly, and Rick always made himself available, should we need to contact him with any concerns. He was very hands-on, often on the site for long periods of time with his crews.
