We had such high hopes for this partnership with Rebel Builders, but it unfortunately left us disheartened and at a huge loss financially. We held off on renovating until the spaces were really in need of help and had dreams for freshly designed spaces. At first we thought the team was really listening to us. I completed Rebel’s surveys and their requested idea boards so they could get a sense of what we were looking for. Countless hours were spent with this and in person meetings to really get that style down. We were so excited for the day of Rebel's first proposal, only to be left in tears by the end of the meeting. There were so many things which we had explicitly said we didn't want (white cabinets, particle/furniture board, light floors, contemporary fixtures, etc.). I kept asking myself how communication could have gone so wrong. We had paid Rebel $16K up to that point for the design process. We were devastated. There was no recourse because we signed an agreement and according to the firm, they completed their contractual responsibilities with the design they presented. We gained nothing usable from the process and lost so much time and money as a result of our experience with Rebel. In our opinion, neither were managed respectfully or with any consideration for the input we provided. I wish we had known sooner so we could have parted ways earlier. We feel Rebel didn’t show us care at the end. It was a profoundly hurtful experience. We had tried to find resolution several times but feel like we were met with a lack of empathy. Please think twice about going with Rebel Builders and if you do choose them, consider carefully where your design cost is going.

We are first-time homeowners who hadn't gone through the renovation process before. Diana and team brought zero judgement and an immense amount of patience when working with us. I've learned home renovations will never be easy so working with a team that you know will be willing to listen to all of your questions and/or concerns (no matter how minor they are) was instrumental. Diana's commitment and customer-centric approach also instilled confidence that if I had an issue it would be resolved. The design team brought amazing, functional suggestions to our remodel and was willing to brainstorm with me to ensure the ultimate designs captured our needs and aesthetic. It’s also an added bonus that, as a business, they message their support on important social issues like LGBTQ rights and gender equality in a male-dominated industry.

We are building a second story renovation and doing a first floor rehab and the quality of work, design vision and true project partnership is unmatched. We adored both our experience of working with Rebel as well as the finished product we are now lucky to enjoy every day. They were very responsive at every stage, from our first conversation, throughout the planning, and during the construction. Rebel did a large kitchen remodel for us. Our original kitchen was small and dated, much of it original to our 1950s home. They helped us to envision what our space could be and then made that vision reality! The finished product is nothing short of amazing - literally looks like a show home now! We absolutely love it! We had a great experience with Rebel Builders. The enthusiasm and cheerfulness of Diana Pauro, owner and lead architect was infectious. Diana grasped our need for a cozy, warm and updated master bathroom, closet and master bedroom, quickly and well. She and her team managed our project with skill, politeness, and consideration. They were available to answer questions when we had them; were sensitive to our needs (we were living in the house at the time) and had strong time-management skills. I particularly liked that Diana paid attention to hiring contractors with a similar philosophy of strong customer services to her.
