Simply wow! We couldn’t be happier with Riddle Construction and Design. The home they built for us is absolutely stunning and every day we wake up grinning ear to ear as we enjoy our morning coffee in our beautiful kitchen. They held our hands and helped us through the entire process of a complete home remodel. From the beginning they listened to our vision. We put together an idea book and they stayed true to the design ideas. At every step of the process, they gave us sound advice, wonderful concepts and warned us about potential pitfalls. The quality of their craftsmanship and their attention to detail are top notch and the same is true of their subcontractors. The Riddles have the highest level of integrity, they are honest and fair, upfront about costs so that there were no surprises. We’ve worked with Josh at Riddle Construction & Design for the past 7-8 years, providing railing systems on his remodeling projects. Communication is always excellent, from sending over plans/sketches and confirming the scope of the job to completing the project. Projects tend to finish right on time or a bit sooner. Timing is always an issue for general construction, but we work together to ensure we are ahead of schedule. We look forward to completing more projects with Riddle Construction & Design.

Our family highly recommends Riddle Construction and Design. They were organized, on time, and on budget. We really enjoyed having Curt and Josh in our home to do the work and Chris was extremely easy to get in touch with. All members of Riddle Design were fun to work with. The site was cleaned up daily, which all members of the family really appreciated. They paid close attention to details and the quality of build and craftsmanship is fantastic. This was our first remodel and they walked us through the process step by step. I have recommended Riddle to several people. We hired Riddle Construction & Design to do a whole house remodel, as well as a small addition. We did a lot of due diligence to find the right match for our project and RC&D fit the bill perfectly. They are a locally owned family run small business who provide hands-on guidance and superb craftsmanship. From the first consultation, the Riddles brought a passion and enthusiasm that set them apart from the multiple other companies we had contacted. They are a very dynamic group, each with their own strengths and areas of expertise. They are trustworthy and accountable; we felt like we were in good hands from the moment we first met them. Throughout the design process we felt like the Riddles understood what we were going for conceptually, and they really locked into our style. We felt free to make our decisions, knowing we had their experience and informed opinions to back us up. They did an amazing job keeping us in the loop, responding to any questions or concerns quickly. We knew our project was going to take some time; it was a top to bottom remodel and we were right in the thick of a pandemic. RC&D kept the process moving along quickly from design, permitting, and construction. We live in a small neighborhood, and one of our concerns was disrupting our neighbors for a length of time. The Riddles took extra effort to look after our neighbors with understanding and respect. With all of that said, what really matters is the end result of all their hard work. It can be summed up in one word: AMAZING. They transformed a choppy '80s rambler into a flowing masterpiece. The addition only added roughly 200 sqft, but thanks to RC&D's thoughtful design and modern floorplan, the space is better utilized making the whole house feel much bigger. The quality of the build is exceptional, with an attention to detail that shows RC&D's commitment to their craft. I can say without hesitation, Riddle Construction & Design built my family our dream home. It was a wonderful experience working with this group and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

We recently completed a home remodeling project with Riddle Construction and Design and the results are absolutely fantastic! Not only was their work phenomenal, they also maintained excellent communication throughout the project. We always knew exactly what was going on and how things were progressing. Chris was incredibly helpful throughout the process of design and product selection. We learned so much and her depth of knowledge made sure we had all the right touches for a beautiful and functional result. The work by Curt and Josh is among the best we've seen; they have an eye for detail and are true craftsmen. Riddle Construction also employs excellent subcontractors that carry through the same level of excellence that the Riddles hold for themselves. We expect the work they've done in our home to last a very long time. If we ever look to remodel something else, Riddle Construction and Design will be my first call.

We completed an extensive design-to-build remodel project in 2020 with Riddle Construction & Design. We are very happy with the design and quality of work. Despite a challenging year with Covid and site closures, the project was completed as expected. Their sub network was top notch, and the attention to detail very much appreciated. Most importantly Curt, Chris, and Josh clearly take pride in their customer satisfaction, making sure every question and concern was addressed to our satisfaction. We would definitely use Riddle again, and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a home remodel.

We’ve lived in the same home in English Hill for over 10 years before deciding to “go big” with a remodel on tired and poorly crafted bathrooms and kitchen. As a technology professional, I was seeking a design-build firm that would provide end-to-end project management as well as ensure a timely and successful outcome. It didn’t take long after reviewing their portfolio and having initial meetings with the family to realize that this was the team we wanted to manage one of the biggest expenses of our lives. We couldn’t be happier with the result. Design process: Chris Riddle will never steer you wrong, and is appropriately assertive in driving the project forward. Be prepared to have your design assumptions challenged, but at the same time realize that she is an exceptional listener and works to incorporate your thoughts into the process. For example, I passively expressed some concerns in details of the cabinetry design and was delighted to find she had picked up on my exact line of thinking and implemented perfectly in the next elevation version. While she won’t hesitate to express skepticism in design approaches that do not match her proven formula, she helps you take calculated risks, such as the vertical crayon tile backsplash we selected, in this case to exceptional result! Chris remained patient and understanding as we moved through the overwhelming nature of making decisions on all of the details. Josh runs a tight ship and stays on top of all the sub-contractors, the vast majority of which are exceedingly professional and have a long track record with the Riddles. Curt’s ingenuity allowed us to raise the ceiling of our kitchen and paid meticulous attention to installation of doors and cabinetry. We didn’t have to ask for project updates: we received frequent and informative communication across all desired channels (text / e-mail). Josh was receptive and patient with my frequent questioning, as well as numerous requests to dial in the final product through and past the punch list. If you are looking for a “deal” by cutting corners or feel it necessary to micro-manage costs, look elsewhere. The Riddle’s process ensured an outstanding build quality: prepare yourself to pay for it. Chris set expectations on cost early and stayed on target both in the initial design and final delivery (requiring only immaterial change requests). Chris’s design process and extensive knowledge of materials and fixtures does give you an excellent starting point on how to select from products that vary wildly in quality and cost, while still ensuring a rewarding outcome. We highly recommend Riddle Construction and Design and are looking forward to using our kitchen and bathrooms for many years to come!
