Ridgecrest designed and built our dream home. Henry is an artist with an amazing eye for detail and creativity. Our home is an absolute work of art with no detail left unplanned. Henry, Julienne, and the whole Ridgecrest crew were a joy to work with. Ridgecrest managed the entire process from design, plans, and permits through to the build. Everything was done to the highest quality and standards. Most people told us building a home would be incredibly stressful; we felt the exact opposite because Ridgecrest made every step easy and fun. Our family still can't believe we get to live in this amazing home. We cannot recommend Henry, and Ridgecrest, highly enough.

We have nothing but gratitude and absolute respect for Henry and his team. We hired Ridgecrest Designs to do an extensive kitchen and mudroom remodel. The project included some engineering as well as design and construction. We had a great deal of anxiety at the beginning of the project because of previous experiences with other contractors. Henry and Julienne were absolutely inspiring and extremely flexible to work with during the design process. Henry, Doug, and Manuel meticulously worked on every detail of the project. Watching the care they took in realizing the project, it seemed as though they were working on their own homes. The crew was on site and on time every day. The site was cleaned at the end of every work day and the guys even brought in delivered packages to make sure nothing was lost or damaged. The budget was established during the design process and was only amended because of changes we made during the building process. The team finished very close to the deadline. This is the only firm that we will use for any future projects. Absolutely fantastic.

Venturing into a home remodel can be scary. It's riddled with skepticism that it could all go smoothly and fear of increasing costs, however Henry asked us to trust his expertise and we have no regrets choosing Ridgecrest Designs. We chose to remodel our kitchen, great room, and guest bathroom with Henry and his team over the course of 4 months of construction. The initial planning took into account measurements and going over ideas of what we liked. Henry and Julienne offered some great design advice and were able to create a design package complete with floorplans, renderings, and materials/finishes. The nice thing is that since they created the plan and design renderings for each area, we knew exactly what the final product was going to look like. Also, having the plan, allowed us to have to breakdown of the estimated costs per project, so there weren't very many surprises that popped up. My husband and I, were nervous about costs and super picky about every detail, but Henry dealt with us and always reassured us that it would all work out. Once, the construction began, we soon realized that the team definitely knew what they were doing. The attention to detail and craftsmanship was on point. The guys Doug, Emmanuel, and Travis were awesome. They were very friendly, helpful and are skilled builders. We were nervous about investing so much into what we hope to be our "forever" home, but overall it was a very smooth project and the final result has us loving walking into our home everyday. We can't wait to work with Henry and the team again to remodel the remainder of the house.

Our experience with Henry and his team has been very smooth, especially considering that construction is always known to have curve balls in the process. We wanted Ridgecrest to design and build our kitchen/Great Room and was very impressed with the design. Henry more than delivered, and the finished result looked exactly like the renderings. He and his team have high attention to detail and have excellent craftsmanship. I have heard horror stories of poor work and excessive costly delays and am grateful that we went with them. I will be looking to have Ridgecrest renovate other parts of our house when the time comes. Thank you guys!

5 stars for Ridgecrest Designs is not enough and neither is 10. They deserve way more. I am not one to write reviews, in fact this is my first, but feel Henry and his entire Ridgecrest team deserve the recognition. As well, it may be helpful to others in search of hiring a designer as it was stressful in the beginning for us. Ridgecrest has the capacity to both design and build your project. We didn't realize they could do both when we made that first phone call. This was so convenient for our busy schedules. It took only one interview with Henry and Julienne and we knew we had chosen the right team. Henry and his team built us a kitchen way beyond what we expected. To us, we wanted an updated kitchen. We ended up with a kitchen that, to this day, I still walk in and can't believe it's ours. I want to text him everyday to say Thank You, honestly. We have a friend who is an appraiser say "I've seen a lot of kitchens and never one like this, it blows them all away." We ended up with a unique, different kitchen and we feel it clearly represents what Ridgecrest is all about.....wanting to give you something that no one else has. We feel so lucky to have found them and so grateful they wanted to work with us. We never once had to question what they were doing, we feel their cost was fair and they took care of every detail along the way of project. Henry, the core of Ridgecrest, is an exceptional passionate designer with an extreme attention to detail. He is a talented artist that we feel so privileged to have his artistry in our home. He gave us frequent updates on our project and gave us honest feedback always in a respectful way. It was evident he went out of his way to reach an end result that, to us, really is beyond perfect. Working with a designer that has passion in what they do coupled with attention to detail we personally feel is key, and we were so lucky to have Henry and his team want to help us. Henry's crew was respectful, neat, and always on time. I came home one day and acknowledged the work they had done and they replied, "we do our best for you." I walked down the hall and thought wow, that is so comforting to hear. We were so lucky to have Doug on our project. He was awesome, so good at what he does, so nice and as well we could tell took pride in his work . As our project evolved, we could literally tell Henry and Doug could do anything and everything and couldn't wait to get home to see what was done for the day. The only thing we were dissapointed about was on the very last day.....seeing the trailer pull away. We really miss them. After an extensive search for a designer on Internet and talking to friends, we made one phone call, interviewed only Ridgecrest Designs, and throughout whole project and to this day have never been disappointed. Henry and his team delivered on designing and building an absolutely one of a kind kitchen for us. We are extremely happy with our experience! Henry and his team were thoughtful, courteous and trustworthy. Their high standards came through in every aspect of our project. Henry was not satisfied until everything was perfect. He went over and above for us on numerous occasions and it was a delight to work with such a talented and conscientious contractor. Thank you Ridgecrest Designs!

Henry and Ridgecrest Designs were awesome to work with. Henry takes a lot of pride in the project, he likes it to look like he would want it if it was his. It's not just another job. Here's a rarity: After the project was complete and we paid in full, we called him a few weeks later with some things we didn't quite like and some things we wish I had done, and he came back quickly and fixed/changed them for us. We love our new bedroom and masterbath. It's like staying at a spa!

This was a difficult remodel for us to handle. Reality is that Ridgecrest did this in 5 months. IT felt like 10 months! I know some kitchen remodels that take up to 6 months or more, and still not impressed with them. This was the whole house. My suggestion is to add 3+ months to the expected date and to not mislead with actual dates. It took me 10 years in practice to figure out my own timing with extraneous factors. We did not knock down the walls but we basically gutted out a fairly new but dated home. I could envision what we wanted just by walking through with my realtor. We almost purchased a spec home off El Pintado, which would have put us way overbudget, just because we wanted to avoid the remodel! I think I had more faith than my husband that it was going to be GREAT. We are very detailed people and have had the luxury to enjoy some of the finer things in life so we are very particular. and I really mean detailed and particular! YOU have to let go of the control to move forward if you want to live in a work of art and have someone carry that vision out. Ultimately, the house is beautiful and my husband knows I am right! He loves it and we can really see moving our family in this house with a fresh start. Thank you.

Henry and his crew at Ridgecrest Designs were a joy to work with. They are truly the best at creating unique, one-of-a-kind environments. We commissioned Henry to create a backyard environment for us. We started by presenting Henry with themes and ideas from which he created an awesome design. The final project professionally blended unique materials such as reclaimed barn wood, reclaimed cobble from the streets of San Francisco and corten steel with amazing lighting and visually appealing architectural elements. Henry and his team designed and remodeled our master bathroom in January/February 2016. We were extremely happy with the process and the results -- the bathroom is beautiful and functional, even better than I had hoped. The design process was easy -- Tracy and Henry started with my description of what I wanted, but had really good ideas to fill in the gaps and pulled me just enough out of my too-conservative comfort zone. The actual remodel went very smoothly; Doug and the other workers were very pleasant and neat. It was fun to come home and see the progress every day. We had to make a few additional decisions along the way, and we added a few minor items, with no problems. The work took exactly as long as Henry had initially estimated. Most importantly, the final result is gorgeous.

Henry, who is the mastermind of Ridgecrest Designs, is a both a skilled contractor and designer of the highest caliber. Henry's creative vision and talent to transform a space into a stunning environment is truly a gift. We hired Henry for our backyard after interviewing several companies and after already paying a different designer. Before we went ahead with the other designer's plan, we happened upon an incredible backyard walking through our neighborhood. I knocked on the neighbor's door, and they referred and recommended us to Ridgecrest Designs. Henry's artistry and attention to detail with design and construction is impeccable. He is an honest and sincere person who is passionate about his work. If you want a custom, high quality, and one-of-a-kind space to enjoy, Henry is the person to hire.
