Ridgecrest designed and built our dream home. Henry is an artist with an amazing eye for detail and creativity. Our home is an absolute work of art with no detail left unplanned. Henry, Julienne, and the whole Ridgecrest crew were a joy to work with. Ridgecrest managed the entire process from design, plans, and permits through to the build. Everything was done to the highest quality and standards. Most people told us building a home would be incredibly stressful; we felt the exact opposite because Ridgecrest made every step easy and fun. Our family still can't believe we get to live in this amazing home. We cannot recommend Henry, and Ridgecrest, highly enough.

We have nothing but gratitude and absolute respect for Henry and his team. We hired Ridgecrest Designs to do an extensive kitchen and mudroom remodel. The project included some engineering as well as design and construction. We had a great deal of anxiety at the beginning of the project because of previous experiences with other contractors. Henry and Julienne were absolutely inspiring and extremely flexible to work with during the design process. Henry, Doug, and Manuel meticulously worked on every detail of the project. Watching the care they took in realizing the project, it seemed as though they were working on their own homes. The crew was on site and on time every day. The site was cleaned at the end of every work day and the guys even brought in delivered packages to make sure nothing was lost or damaged. The budget was established during the design process and was only amended because of changes we made during the building process. The team finished very close to the deadline. This is the only firm that we will use for any future projects. Absolutely fantastic.

Venturing into a home remodel can be scary. It's riddled with skepticism that it could all go smoothly and fear of increasing costs, however Henry asked us to trust his expertise and we have no regrets choosing Ridgecrest Designs. We chose to remodel our kitchen, great room, and guest bathroom with Henry and his team over the course of 4 months of construction. The initial planning took into account measurements and going over ideas of what we liked. Henry and Julienne offered some great design advice and were able to create a design package complete with floorplans, renderings, and materials/finishes. The nice thing is that since they created the plan and design renderings for each area, we knew exactly what the final product was going to look like. Also, having the plan, allowed us to have to breakdown of the estimated costs per project, so there weren't very many surprises that popped up. My husband and I, were nervous about costs and super picky about every detail, but Henry dealt with us and always reassured us that it would all work out. Once, the construction began, we soon realized that the team definitely knew what they were doing. The attention to detail and craftsmanship was on point. The guys Doug, Emmanuel, and Travis were awesome. They were very friendly, helpful and are skilled builders. We were nervous about investing so much into what we hope to be our "forever" home, but overall it was a very smooth project and the final result has us loving walking into our home everyday. We can't wait to work with Henry and the team again to remodel the remainder of the house.

Our experience with Henry and his team has been very smooth, especially considering that construction is always known to have curve balls in the process. We wanted Ridgecrest to design and build our kitchen/Great Room and was very impressed with the design. Henry more than delivered, and the finished result looked exactly like the renderings. He and his team have high attention to detail and have excellent craftsmanship. I have heard horror stories of poor work and excessive costly delays and am grateful that we went with them. I will be looking to have Ridgecrest renovate other parts of our house when the time comes. Thank you guys!

5 stars for Ridgecrest Designs is not enough and neither is 10. They deserve way more. I am not one to write reviews, in fact this is my first, but feel Henry and his entire Ridgecrest team deserve the recognition. As well, it may be helpful to others in search of hiring a designer as it was stressful in the beginning for us. Ridgecrest has the capacity to both design and build your project. We didn't realize they could do both when we made that first phone call. This was so convenient for our busy schedules. It took only one interview with Henry and Julienne and we knew we had chosen the right team. Henry and his team built us a kitchen way beyond what we expected. To us, we wanted an updated kitchen. We ended up with a kitchen that, to this day, I still walk in and can't believe it's ours. I want to text him everyday to say Thank You, honestly. We have a friend who is an appraiser say "I've seen a lot of kitchens and never one like this, it blows them all away." We ended up with a unique, different kitchen and we feel it clearly represents what Ridgecrest is all about.....wanting to give you something that no one else has. We feel so lucky to have found them and so grateful they wanted to work with us. We never once had to question what they were doing, we feel their cost was fair and they took care of every detail along the way of project. Henry, the core of Ridgecrest, is an exceptional passionate designer with an extreme attention to detail. He is a talented artist that we feel so privileged to have his artistry in our home. He gave us frequent updates on our project and gave us honest feedback always in a respectful way. It was evident he went out of his way to reach an end result that, to us, really is beyond perfect. Working with a designer that has passion in what they do coupled with attention to detail we personally feel is key, and we were so lucky to have Henry and his team want to help us. Henry's crew was respectful, neat, and always on time. I came home one day and acknowledged the work they had done and they replied, "we do our best for you." I walked down the hall and thought wow, that is so comforting to hear. We were so lucky to have Doug on our project. He was awesome, so good at what he does, so nice and as well we could tell took pride in his work . As our project evolved, we could literally tell Henry and Doug could do anything and everything and couldn't wait to get home to see what was done for the day. The only thing we were dissapointed about was on the very last day.....seeing the trailer pull away. We really miss them. After an extensive search for a designer on Internet and talking to friends, we made one phone call, interviewed only Ridgecrest Designs, and throughout whole project and to this day have never been disappointed. Henry and his team delivered on designing and building an absolutely one of a kind kitchen for us. We are extremely happy with our experience! Henry and his team were thoughtful, courteous and trustworthy. Their high standards came through in every aspect of our project. Henry was not satisfied until everything was perfect. Henry and Ridgecrest Designs were awesome to work with. Henry takes a lot of pride in the project, he likes it to look like he would want it if it was his. It's not just another job. Here's a rarity: After the project was complete and we paid in full, we called him a few weeks later with some things we didn't quite like and some things we wish I had done, and he came back quickly and fixed/changed them for us. We love our new bedroom and masterbath. It's like staying at a spa!

This was a difficult remodel for us to handle. Reality is that Ridgecrest did this in 5 months. IT felt like 10 months! I know some kitchen remodels that take up to 6 months or more, and still not impressed with them. This was the whole house. My suggestion is to add 3+ months to the expected date and to not mislead with actual dates. It took me 10 years in practice to figure out my own timing with extraneous factors. We did not knock down the walls but we basically gutted out a fairly new but dated home. I could envision what we wanted just by walking through with my realtor. We almost purchased a spec home off El Pintado, which would have put us way overbudget, just because we wanted to avoid the remodel! I think I had more faith than my husband that it was going to be GREAT. We are very detailed people and have had the luxury to enjoy some of the finer things in life so we are very particular. and I really mean detailed and particular! YOU have to let go of the control to move forward if you want to live in a work of art and have someone carry that vision out. Ultimately, the house is beautiful and my husband knows I am right! He loves it and we can really see moving our family in this house with a fresh start. Thank you.

Henry and his crew at Ridgecrest Designs were a joy to work with. They are truly the best at creating unique, one-of-a-kind environments. We commissioned Henry to create a backyard environment for us. We started by presenting Henry with themes and ideas from which he created an awesome design. The final project professionally blended unique materials such as reclaimed barn wood, reclaimed cobble from the streets of San Francisco and corten steel with amazing lighting and visually appealing architectural elements. Henry and his team designed and remodeled our master bathroom in January/February 2016. We were extremely happy with the process and the results -- the bathroom is beautiful and functional, even better than I had hoped. The design process was easy -- Tracy and Henry started with my description of what I wanted, but had really good ideas to fill in the gaps and pulled me just enough out of my too-conservative comfort zone. The actual remodel went very smoothly; Doug and the other workers were very pleasant and neat. It was fun to come home and see the progress every day. We had to make a few additional decisions along the way, and we added a few minor items, with no problems. The work took exactly as long as Henry had initially estimated. Most importantly, the final result is gorgeous.

Henry, who is the mastermind of Ridgecrest Designs, is a both a skilled contractor and designer of the highest caliber. Henry's creative vision and talent to transform a space into a stunning environment is truly a gift. We hired Henry for our backyard after interviewing several companies and after already paying a different designer. Before we went ahead with the other designer's plan, we happened upon an incredible backyard walking through our neighborhood. I knocked on the neighbor's door, and they referred and recommended us to Ridgecrest Designs. Henry's artistry and attention to detail with design and construction is impeccable. He is an honest and sincere person who is passionate about his work. If you want a custom, high quality, and one-of-a-kind space to enjoy, Henry is the person to hire. We hired Henry and Tracy to help us with some design work for our Kitchen remodel project. They did a fantastic job - a. They were super prompt and turned things around even quicker than we anticipated. b. The quality of the work - the renders and the plans - were great. c. Easy to work with - we just had to describe to them what we were looking for and our taste once and they just got it. d. Upfront and honest. Gave us a time and cost estimate and if anything came under. Can't recommend them enough. Only regret is that we couldn't use their services for the actual "build" part since they are based out of East bay and the project is in Mountain View and given the Bay Area traffic. But even there, they were honest about the inability to take it on given the distance, instead of saying "yes" and botching it. So thank you Henry and Tracy and hopefully we will be able to work together again for the next part of the project. Thanks Sunil

We interviewed about 15 different contractors /design firms and had our top section made prior to meeting with Henry/Tracy. We originally wanted to meet with them on an outdoor project while we had another contractor work in parallel for our bathroom remodel, however once we met with the team and did the walk through we knew we had to go with Ridgecrest designs for the bathroom remodel. They truly understood my wife’s vision for the bathroom remodel and provided us with an amazing design that really blew us away. Tracy incorporated reclaimed wood and added country elegance to our bathrooms to really transform them from dated and dark bathrooms from the 1980s to something we would find in a hotel spa. Each bathroom is one of a kind with custom made fixtures, vanity’s and even lights which ensures no two projects are alike. We had a custom bard yard door added to the design which became a highlight to our laundry room. Everyone who visits now wants Henry’s contact information as they truly understood our needs and created an amazing space for us to enjoy. Henry’s crew was very professional, arrived on time each day, communicated well, and even interacted well with our two year old son. I’ve had a number of contractors work in our home and Henry is by far in a level of his own. He understands design aesthetics and can execute against it while ensuring top quality. Our project was to remodel our master bath and two additional bathrooms, close off a balcony to convert it into a new master walk in closet. They completed the entire project within our tight deadline (working weekends and 7 days a week often times). They worked through all the nuances of our house, leveling out floors, fixing framing issues and roof leaks. At the end of the day they did whatever it took to get the job done without cutting corners, which can’t be said for some contractors. We’re now working with Henry and Tracy to design our backyard space and we’re looking forward to phase two of the remodel later this year! There are good contractors and there are awesome contractors. Ridgecrest designs, without doubt, belongs to the later category and in retrospect, we could not have hired better designers/contractors than Ridgecrest designs for our kitchen. Right from the beginning, Henry and his team has been nothing but professional, friendly, and courteous. We had talked with multiple firms before we started having a dialogue with Henry and Tracy. They paid close attention to our needs, the existing setup and came up with innovative ideas to remodel our kitchen. A perfect combination of functionality and aesthetics. We immediately fell in love with the concept and gave a go ahead. Once the design was finalized and timelines were decided, Henry’s work team took over. Doug, Manuel, Chava and Shaun were equally professional, courteous and respectful. More importantly, their work - was impeccable. They are skilled craftsmen who know their jobs very well. They would always be on time at our place, and practically became a part of the family. Everyday, they would clean up all the mess at the end of the day before leaving. Its the little things that matter. Of course, Henry would always be around to supervise their work and make sure the execution was according to the plan. It took about 8 weeks to finish the kitchen, but the wait was totally worth it! We totally love the end product and our friends and family are in awe of the kitchen! Thank you Henry and Tracy for making our dream a reality! Over the course of the project, I realized that Henry is very passionate about his work, and he is not the one to cut corners. He sets a very high bar for himself and his team and would go to any lengths to achieve the degree of finish, precision he sets out to achieve. Having been given the opportunity to collaborate alongside Henry and Ridgecrest Designs for the last several years-- I have had the Joy of witnessing truly incredible talent and skill! Be it design, engineering, physics or any number of milieus- Henry and his Team can certainly Perform with excellence!! As an artist -- I have seen Henry move several ton of weight in boulders --place them with precision in magnificent exterior environments. A 7' high water features created from raw steel and natural slate, designed/engineered & executed so the precise water flow tumbles over the natural grace of the stones..... Live edge walnut burl fabricated to hug the wedge of a powder room - where it carries a sea glass vessel sink and is paired with polished pebbles on the floors surface and face of the wall!! Be it interior or exterior, stone-steel-wood-concrete or YOU NAME IT, Henry can work it to create ART ! Design Challenges do not make Henry and his Team flinch! They welcome and EXECUTE them with EXTRAORDINARY results.

We hired Henry and his team to update our kitchen (cabinets, counters, back splash, lighting, etc...). and we could not be happier. At the beginning of the project, Henry, Chantal and Tracy worked very closely with us to define the design and budget. The combination of Henry's sense of functionality and Chantal and Tracy's aesthetic was perfect. They were attentive to our needs and wants and made sure each item that needed to be purchased for the project was not only high quality, but within our overall budget. They also came up with unique ideas just for us that we would have never come up with on our own. When the work on the kitchen itself started, Cesar, Doug, Manuel and Chava became part of our family. They were in our kitchen (in a good way) every day for 5-6 weeks. They were always on time, respectful, trustworthy and the hardest working guys out there. They prepped everything to make sure dust and dirt would not make it to the rest of our house, and swept and vacuumed our floors at the end of each day. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was exceptional and they didn't miss one single thing. They made a point to communicate progress with us on a regular basis and were always available if we had questions. Henry was present throughout the entire project and always available for questions or anything else we needed. At the end of the project he made sure to personally check everything out with follow up for anything that was not absolutely perfect. We also finished the project exactly on time and on budget! The end result of this project is a beautiful, functional new kitchen that fits our lifestyle. Henry and his team were not only exceptional but really fun to work with. They have the highest work ethic and integrity and I would highly recommend them.

We had Henry and his crew remove a fireplace from our family room to provide more space and we couldn't be more pleased with the job that was done. We received a detailed estimate and work started the very next day. Henry and his crew arrived at our home promptly and in good spirits. The crew was very pleasant and worked well together. They hauled away all the debris from the demolition, including a heavy iron insert. The finished job is just as we expected. They thoroughly cleaned up the work area and moved the furniture back into the room for us. Henry reviewed the results with me to make sure we were satisfied. He also took time to answer a number of questions about future projects we plan to have done which I thought was very helpful.
