Salt + Dirt | Outside Design is a regenerative landscape & site design practice cultivating beauty, peace, and connection. Covid, a global pandemic, and climate change have people treasuring their land and connections to Nature again. I work with these clients - people that value wild lands, nurturing spaces and Nature -- true Nature. Leveraging resonant, resilient, regenerative design, Salt + Dirt meets the needs of those who crave the experience of the backcountry, stepping out their own door. With this approach, we address the important and urgent challenges of our times. Together, we explore new frontiers in life, work and human endeavor – by returning to Nature. Thirty-five years of curiosity & exploration inform my design work: climbing, backpacking, fly fishing, hunting, trail running. Biodynamic and organic farm apprenticeships; farming as an adult, and as a backyard farmer with my child; and helping the neighborhood kids run the Wild Child Chikken Co-op as they raise chicks and sell organic eggs throughout the community. We'll work with Nature to create relaxing places for you to live your life: morning coffee, a few work hours in dappled shade, fresh air, feeding off of the life unfolding around you.
