We recently worked with Todd and his team on a remodel of our kitchen, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our kitchen was old and decrepit, with banged-up floors and outdated cabinets. The layout was also problematic, with the dishwasher positioned in a way that made it impossible to open without closing a drawer. Todd's team made some fantastic changes, including repositioning the dishwasher for better functionality and installing a new, perfectly proportioned island with storage and seating. We also replaced our gas range with an induction oven, which we love. One of our biggest motivations was to have a better view, and Todd's team delivered by adding big glass doors that open up to our backyard. Special thanks to Garrett and our project manager, Tony, who were both incredibly attentive throughout the process. We highly recommend Todd and his team for any remodeling projects!

When we kicked off this project, we figured it'd be nice to have an additional space that maybe we could Airbnb one day, but as we've come to the finished product and it's so beautiful, I think our primary use for this studio is going to be for family and friends to stay over and having an extra space to place to work since we both work from home. What was particularly nice during the design process was the design is done with the construction in mind, so they're not proposing things that are going to be impossible to build, but it's also really nice to have all of the options they've built in 3D. Working with Dan, he was just so knowledgeable about the city permits and what was doable and what wasn't for a studio build. We also have to give Melinda so much credit on the design side of things. She had great ideas that were interesting, and she just understood where we were looking to experiment and where we wanted to keep things safe. All of the Schulte Design Build construction team were so great to work with as well. The communication was wonderful. It was great to come out and say what's up to Johan and get answers on what ridiculous things I had questions on. Michael was always a pleasure, such a positive guy and Joe had all the answers on every step of the project. We've worked with other contractors in the past where it felt like you were pulling teeth to get answers on things, but everyone involved was always willing to talk to us and they indulged me in all of our questions and requests! There's always hiccups when it comes to construction, you're going to run into things that you don't expect, but they were all handled as best as possible, and it went as smooth as we could have expected. I don't think we could be any happier with the final product of our studio. The transformation is insane from a garage to a beautiful open studio that we can house our family and friends in. We would absolutely recommend Schulte Design Build, it was a great experience from start to finish.

If you are looking for a design build company to improve your home, I highly recommend Schulte. Schulte did a complete re-design of our kitchen, bathroom and living space in our 1911 build Phinney Ridge home. We had a very strange layout in our kitchen and Schulte transformed it into a beautiful and functional space. As other reviewers have said, the team at Schulte (Todd, Joe, Yohan and Michael) really is fantastic. They are extremely respectful, trustworthy, and honorable people. Todd really has assembled an impressive team and we are so grateful for them. We lived in our house throughout the remodel, and they cleaned up the space every day and tried to make it as easy as possible for us to still live here through the project. We appreciated that the team worked within our budget as we scoped the project. They provided different alternatives as we tried to narrow down exactly what we wanted to do. Their experience with old homes was incredibly valuable and they gave us great insight and suggestions throughout the process, but we never felt pushed to do things a specific way. The design process was smooth. I was very particular and had a vision for the design, and the designer did a great job working with me to make my vision come to life. Throughout construction, they were easy to communicate with and addressed any questions or concerns we had quickly. The job stayed on budget and on schedule. We will definitely be working with Schulte again for our future remodel needs.

We had an extraordinary experience working with Todd and the entire team at Schulte Design Build to complete an extensive exterior and partial interior renovation of our Pacific Northwest craftsman home in 2018. Key project elements included: a new outdoor pavilion with a hot tub and connected deck, koi pond and an entertainment room remodel that included a wet bar, bathroom, and new custom Murphy bed cabinetry. The Schulte team also recommended and seamlessly managed efforts with a partner architect, color consultant and landscape firm to deliver this large-scale project on time and on budget. This was an unbelievable feat as we were under an immense deadline with a wedding reception planned at our home. Todd and team treated that wedding date like it was their own and moved mountains to give us the home (and reception backdrop) of our dreams. The Schulte team is truly the most trustworthy, collaborative, dedicated team of people we've encountered and they exceeded every expectation

Their team was courteous and professional, and made sure we were involved with every decision. They delivered on time and on budget. They left our new kitchen spotless.

I worked with Todd and Schulte Design Build on three separate projects at the same house over the past 7 or so years. For budget, we needed to divide up all the remodeling projects we wanted to do on the house into three phases. Todd and his team worked with us to figure out how to best do this and we recently completed the third phase. The projects included a full kitchen remodel, exterior work, and the entire second floor, including adding a dormer and bathroom. The third project was the most expansive, where at least a quarter of the roof was off the home at one point! The entire team has always been very professional, friendly, top-notch in problem solving, and highly skilled. I've always been impressed by their attention to detail. For example, for my remodel, it was very important to me to try to match the remodeling to the 1920s character of the home, which included details like the moldings and floor finishes. Schulte Design Build totally gets it, and we were able to work together on multiple projects to get a great end result. I can't say enough good things - I always chose Schulte to work on my three projects, and if I had any more, I'd select them again. I recommend Schulte Design Build without hesitation.

We hired Schulte on two separate occasions — first for a modern exterior facelift a few years ago, and just recently for a major interior remodel including rebuilding failing floors and installing new flooring, designing and building a new modern kitchen, and completely remodeling our guest bathroom, including building in a no-lip shower to accommodate aging in place. If you want a contractor who will show up everyday, keep you informed, attend to your every request as soon as possible, execute your vision on time and within budget, give you honest opinions and good advice, and much more, then hire this firm. By the end, Joe (our project manager) and his crew were part of the family. They even walked our geriatric dog when he needed to go outside. What more can be said?

Schulte Design Build fully remodeled our kitchen/family room in the spring of 2016. We had a wonderful experience working with them throughout the project from design to completion. The entire team was highly responsive and enjoyable to work with, especially the lead carpenter Johan who became a part of our family during the project. The people are great, the craftsmanship is top notch and it finished on time! What more can you ask for?!?

Schulte's crew did a major overhaul of our kitchen (as well as plumbing and framing in the laundry room and other electrical work). The result is our dream kitchen, even better than we imagined it! It has completely transformed how we feel about our house. Schulte's team is top-notch. They are professional and personable, they care about the details, they ask questions and listen to you, and they have the skills and good judgment to do a beautiful job. Their subs were great, too. The lead carpenter on our project, Jim, was the cream of the crop. He cared about every detail and consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

We worked with Schulte Design Build to put a second story on our 100 year old house and are thrilled with the results. The team has depth of knowledge when it comes to dealing with the inevitable 'surprises' of old homes and was professional from beginning to end. Almost without exception we were impressed with the professionalism of the Schulte team and all of the sub-contractors they brought on our project. We LOVE the finished project and highly recommend Schulte if you have a project that needs experience working with old homes, the design sensibility for remodeling a Craftsman, and the highest quality finished product.

We hired Shulte to remodel our kitchen, and expand it into the space that was previously used as a mud room. The job included knocking out a wall, raising the floor of the former mudroom, building custom cabinets, installing new hardwood and moving doors/windows. The bottom line: 1) their work was of the highest quality, 2) they finished under budget and ahead of schedule, and 3) they were highly responsive to our requests and change orders. We worked with Todd (contractor), Steve (carpenter) and Stephanie (project coordinator). We enjoyed working with each of them and highly recommend them to our friends. We will also be using them in the future for phase II of our project (adding a level).

Schulte Construction did a major remodel on our house (new kitchen, dining room, entry, master bath, powder room, master bedroom, living room, decks, new windows, floors throughout, flipped the stairway etc.) this past year and at the end of the project our house was exactly like we had hoped it would be. We were very pleased. Everyone, from his crew to the subs, that worked on the project was great to work with and they were very competent in their jobs. A major reason we chose Schulte Construction to do our remodel was because we truly felt Todd, the owner, was honest..........and this proved correct.
