Boutique Interior Design Studio Blending Contemporary & Classic Styles
studio.skey is a boutique interior design studio founded by Sophie Scott and Georgina Key, specialising in both contemporary and classic interiors for private residences and unique office-spaces. Working across projects from initial concept to completion, we offer a full interior design service. This includes spatial planning and interior architecture consultation, material and FF&E specification, procurement and end of works styling. We provide technical plans, fully bespoke bathroom and kitchen designs as well as custom joinery and upholstery solutions, either individually or as part of complete tender packages. Our services can be adapted to suit a wide range of projects from full scale renovations involving structural work and extensions to simply dressing and styling solutions. Regardless of scale, we can also offer project management services to oversee the smooth running and completion of projects. Our objective is to create spaces with a harmonious union of function and aesthetic and our client's brief is always firmly at the heart of the design process. Moreover, we bring value to a project by sourcing the highest-quality products within the client's budget to elevate every design to its highest potential. We focus on tonal schemes with rich textures and natural materials to create elegantly balanced environments, unique to our clients’ needs, enabling them to live and work comfortably amidst considered and timeless design.

I downsized from what had been our family home for 33 years, I bought a flat that had great bones and potential but was unloved and in very poor condition. I wanted to create something beautiful, so I engaged studio.skey to help me do so. I’m thrilled with the result, the transformation has exceeded my expectations. There are lovely little details everywhere and I love the way the design flows through the whole flat. I told Georgina and Sophie that I wanted minimalist, modern, comfortable and feminine - and that’s what I got! I’m so happy that I have this beautiful space to enjoy. So far I have had my friends to stay, held a big birthday party and several dinners. My granddaughters love spending time here and the space works brilliantly for them too.

The completion time for this project was 6 months and Studio Skey were amazing at communication and providing us with information needed in order to complete the project on time and to an exceptional standard. We engaged Studio Skey for a full refurbishment of our house in Victoria Park. We only have great things to say about Sophie, Georgina and the entire Studio Skey team. Our project involved a complete refurbishment of every room, our garden and coordination across multiple teams including building contractors, audio visual specialists, kitchen installers, gardening experts, furniture designers and others. Studio Skey took the lead in pulling all those strings together to give us a comprehensive vision with a large number of moving parts around how the finished product would look. Sophie and Georgina were fantastic at helping us make design decisions in real time that really added to realising our overall vision and feeding that into all the different parties to execute the work in an amazingly efficient fashion. From our very first meeting all the way through the initial design phase and the subsequent execution, Sophie and Georgina gave us complete confidence that not only were they in tune with what we wanted to achieve but also that they would be the primary drivers of helping us achieve that on time. We had a very good feeling after our first meeting with the Studio Skey team and that initial view was more than validated throughout our project. Candidly, the end result and the process has been simply wonderful and we couldn’t recommend Sophie and Georgina highly enough.

We purchased a building in January 2020, the house had not been touched for forty years, in fact it was difficult to believe that anyone had lived there such was the state it was in. Studio.skey transformed our old building by reconfiguring the whole shape of the original such that it has transformed into a delightful home which is spacious, stylish & wonderful to live in. They advised on everything from wall placements, new window locations right through to paint colours. Planning was passed without difficulty due to their attention to detail & clever referencing of the local environment, especially fortunate as the house is in a conservation area. We had ideas & a style of our own but were happily led into new spheres of bathroom finishes (waterproof plaster finish), ‘living brass’ taps, kitchen worktops of beautiful natural marble & the list goes on. studio.skey sourced wonderful key elements which together with their stunning vision have resulted in a dream home which is commented on by all who visit, and even by passers by!
