Thayne selected all of the paint colors in our open concept, new construction home. In addition to paint colors, he recommended wall coverings for 2 of the rooms (dining room and powder room). I was very reluctant at first but they look amazing and tie together all of the paint colors perfectly. He also recommended painting our kitchen cabinets and putting in a new back splash. We are still working on the back splash but the cabinets look great and brighten up the space. We will be getting Thayne's expert advise for furniture, window coverings, rugs, etc. for several of our rooms over the coming months.

Excellent to work with - energy, and good taste/ideas. Seeks input and willing to incorporate same when possible. Bottom line - great results!

It was a pleasure working with Thayne, he is a very creative and accommodating designer who brought novel perspectives to our project. He was very easy to get on with, responsive to any queries we had, and works with excellent craftspeople who take pleasure in the quality of their work.

I have worked with Thayne for over 10 years. He has help me in three different homes and I have referred other friends to Thayne. He is great with colors and functionality of your home. He designed a kitchen for us and explained why each item was located where it was and how it would help us to function efficiently in the kitchen. He also talked us out of taking down walls in a second home, explaining that the different spaces would allow privacy for small groups of people visiting our home. He gets to know what you like (colors or style) and then he presents products and colors that you will enjoy. He has a very good eye and he helps you to expand your horizons in decorating.

Thayne is friendly and kind and really listened to us to achieve our taste in our home’s interior spaces. He expanded our thinking in some areas but always found solutions in our comfort zone with both design and budget. He gave us confidence to embrace projects when we were uncertain as to how to begin or proceed. He helped us design a unique Swedish kitchen, living and dining room spaces, wallpaper, fabric, window treatments and more in two homes so far. Thayne is incredibly helpful and a lot of fun too!

I cannot say a enough about Thayne. We heard about him from friends. I had a number of other consultants and was fairly far along in my kitchen design redo. I was getting somewhat overwhelmed and did not feel that I was still going to get what I wanted even with spending a lot of money. My wife heard about Thayne from a friend and within days, he had a much better design with tremendous cost savings. Our kitchen is now envy of everyone. More importantly, this is someone who can think outside the box. Kitchens nowadays, although nice are so cookie cutter. Thayne will give you something special. He takes that time to match the kitchen to your needs,First taste, and the surrounding environment. He is great with colors, materials, spaces.

Thayne has that skill to lead a client towards good design while respecting their vision. He easily facilitates a challenging decorating situation with more than one idea, often with surprising results in arrangement, a light fixture or unexpected colors.. Using his background in set design and innate sense of space he's created both useful and harmonious arrangements enriched with his finely honed color sense -unique, soothing or joyful. He has helped with several projects over the last 10 years. All very satisfying.

Thayne has done three projects for us. The most recent is a city apartment, that he transformed from a lumbering loft feel into a thoughtful and useful organization of living space. The colors are fabulous. The furnishings are beautiful and functional.

Thayne Emrich has helped me on several renovation projects over the past 7 years, including: remodeling the kitchen and finishing the basement of our main home, renovating our small cape condo, renovating our ski condo and designing our pool layout and shed. His versatility and ability to "think out of the box", have helped to make these difficult renovations a success. He is a master at taking small spaces and transforming them into beautiful usable spaces. He is friendly, courteous and highly professional. No job is to small or to large for him. I highly recommend him.

I have a spacious 1960's cape style house. I wanted to update my pine paneled living room to a transitional contemporary style. Also wanted to make my entryway leading to the living room and upstairs more spacious. Thayne was very good at visualizing the space and leveraging the existing features of my house. My house is on a hill with a lovely view in front and back (tree lined and woody). He designed an open floor plan with living room opening to the kitchen and front entryway. He added a bump out cathedral ceiling entryway and stairway that opens into a partial cathedral ceilinged living room. Large windows in the front and back with built in window seat and bookcases to house my love for books and collectibles were nice details along with a beautiful gas fireplace. The space is transformed into a light filled inviting space. We love it. I am also working with him on the interior design and furnishings, which I am also pleased with as he brings a unique and distinctive style.

After renting a wonderfully decorated home (by Thayne), I could not imagine decorating my newly bought home without his guidance. He has real vision, and can make a room come together seamlessly. He is really intuitive when it comes to understanding your needs which has resulted in my house becoming a home. I do not know if I would have ever been able to source carpets, lights, sofas chairs etc without his extensive knowledge. He understands what you need for the space in terms of color, fabric and shapes with great attention to detail. He is better than a little black book when it comes to knowing the person for the job...and they do it on time and to perfection. I am extremely indebted to his expertise. He completed my hall, stairs, landing, lounge and dining area. This man has style.

I started using Thayne in 2005 where he designed a 4000 sq ft beachfront home in Mashpee, Ma, in 2011 where designed a 4000 sq ft home in Westwood, Ma. and currently in 2015/2016 where he's designing a 2000 sq foot home. In all three homes, his expert design and his ability to foresee potential challenges and have his design to be perfect at the end of the job is second to none! His ability to choose color schemes, furniture and wall covering is enjoyed by everyone that enters our homes! He's very easy to work with, listens to what we want and very flexible on his view point verses ours and is always available to accept a phone call during the construction and design phases. Obviously, we've had and continue to have positive experiences with Thayne!
