I first contacted Turning Unlimited when I saw some of their work while doing an internet search for historical style Newel Posts. We were in the process of remodeling and wanted to have some cosmetically pleasing, substantial sized posts, copied in style from my wifes family farm house in Door County WI that was build back in the late 1800. both for the stairs and for the Island adjacent to the stairs. We sent a photo to verify that it could be done and agreed on a price and delivery schedule. Justin sent preliminary drawing sketches noting size in pdf format as the old posts were very short by todays codes. They looked great and we sent a check for the down payment. Justin communicated the whole time with status of the order via e-mail. There was a slight delay in delivery by a few weeks due to work load and Justin let me know this right up front. This was not a cocern for us as I had built in delivery prior to vacation and they came in right after the vacation, in time for the install. They were sent by motor freight, crated and well protected. We even had Justin make 4.5" Banister rails with an older profile that were wider that what is available from the stores to match the 5.5" knewl posts. We were very pleased with the finished end product both in price and the quality of workmwnaship. I would use him again and have told others about his company.

I wish everyone conducted their businesses as professionally as the folks at Turnings Unlimited. I sent a photo of newel posts that I had seen and liked very much. Justin asked for dimensions which I was able to provide and he sent the dimensions to me for the posts which I gave to the company building the staircase. We did all this with a very few emails and phone calls for a house under construction 1000 miles from where the newels were made. When we needed some extras for a change in plans, they were able to make them and ship them to us in a short amount of time so we could complete the staircase on time. I highly recommend Turnings Unlimited to anyone needing this service. They are good people to work with.
