I was the structural engineer for a major remodel of a beautiful older home in the Berkeley hills. Working with u unlimited as the contractor was a great experience from our end. Eitan and his crew were very easy to work with and produced a fantastic final product. As is typical with older homes, there were quite a few surprises thrown our way during construction and sorting them all out quickly and efficiently as a team proved easier than normal. Too often contractors either ignore the engineer's designs and suggestions or throw their hands up and complain until a solution is given to them. With u unlimited and the architect, however, it always felt like we were on the same team, problem solving toward the same goal. It should also be noted that from what I have seen in this particular project, their level of craftsmanship is top notch. Highly recommended.

Eitan designed and built a beautiful custom fence for our driveway. I cannot say enough good things about the design and of course the service he provided. When something wasn't done just right, he fixed it immediately.

Hired Eitan & the U Unlimited crew to perform the following: * Remove a kitchen wall & install new loadbearing support * Install new wood flooring (with some leveling work) & repair some old sections * New kitchen/bathroom tile work * New sheetrock & plaster work * Painting throughout the house * Wood repairs on doorway and decking All the work was done in a very professional manner by a crew that takes pride in their work. Cost was competitive and any change orders initiated by us were also very cost competitive. I am planning on having them return for more work in the near future. A true general contractor that can take on just about any project - highly recommend.

My partner and I hired U Unlimited to do a full remodel of a home we purchased in North Berkeley. The home had enormous potential as a craftsman home originally built in 1918. The home was full of original woodwork panels and beautiful flooring. However, it was in very bad shape with the original electrical that had never been updated, a very antiquated kitchen from the 1950's, walls that were cracking and a foundation that needed repairs. And the bathroom was totally outdated and just disgusting. Eitan Spanier, the owner of U Unlimited gave us a very clear perspective of how the home would be transformed from the remodel and guided us through the six month project. The process was very logical with only a few roadblocks along the way. At the end of the day we had a home that was fully remodeled and modernized, with an open concept kitchen, large bathroom and the home became fully functional - with zero wasted space. We loved living in the home and it drastically increased the value of our home (when we sold it we received more than 10 offers). We could not have been happier with U Unlimited and are now contracting with them to do a loft in Oakland.

Eitan and u unlimited, inc. did a stunning job converting my garage to a cottage in North Berkeley. U unlimited also put in a half bath for me and did other major renovations in our home. Eitan's artistic eye combined with his exquisitely precise building skills makes him amazingly versatile, creative and effective. He is priceless. His team was always on time and polite, not to mention that they always cleaned up at the end of each day. They came every day until the job was completed, often ahead of schedule.
