If we had to build a custom home all over again, we would not hesitate to engage the Uhlers again. For us, it was a collaborative effort from start to finish. They walked a few wooded lots with us to help us find the best one. They huddled with us around the monitor showing the designs, incorporating and improving upon our ideas. They guided us through the selections process, meeting us at the tile store or comparing stone or wood or paint samples. They built the house in about seven months, through supply chain issues and a pandemic. Throughout this process, they were easy to get along with, timely to respond to us, professional, and transparent. We could not be happier with our house or how the process went.

We have renovated, added-on and built in the past and this experience was not only tolerable but a pleasure. They listened but did not pander to our dreams, wishes and whims. Their input was a reflection of their attentiveness. Ideas were presented that we had not considered; corrections were made without excuses; details were attended to without a prompt from us. And, something more: I think they actually enjoyed the process as much as we did. Nothing is perfect but by building a relationship first, Uhler and Company was able to build our dream house in a way that was both fun and satisfying.

Uhler and Company wonderful job designing and building a seven figure addition to our 110 year old house. There were significant structural and hydrological challenges that were met with great skill and terrific engineering. They managed a truly masterful blending of the old and new sections of the house, matching the brickwork and trim of the old and new sections. Their subcontractors were very professional and thorough. I guess the best endorsement I can give is that we're using them again, at our business, to update an historic building.
