Unbelievable process!! Expert work! Last winder we approached George and his team based on a recommendation from another customer. We wanted a custom-built media center. After George's initial consultation, we decided that the first "step" in our remodeling (this may be overstating the scope of what they did) would be to reposition our kitchen island by less than 2 feet, and change the island's cabinetry. Wow, what a difference! Our living room has completely 'opened up' and feels more spacious. We lost nothing from the kitchen that we can notice - if anything, the spatial optimization has afforded us more storage. Not to mention, we got a beautiful piece of white quartz for the island surface at cost from a previous project - basically a $6000 piece of stone for $2500, and it looks amazing! also -the process. Multiple consultations, designs, customer input (all of which happen to be on Zoom because of Covid), and they have a great design team! and honestly? I don't get the sense that we paid a new york premium either! Fast workers, obeyed all Covid building protocols (this is not true of the big box contractors, like Home Depot) You will be VERY happy! We have worked with George and team at Urban Homecraft on 3 projects: built-in desk/bookshelf; large bookshelf/lower cabinets; and kitchen re-do. Each project exceeded our expectations in terms of quality, design, Professionalism, and timeline. George is meticulous and thoughtful about creating innovative designs that are elegant while maximizing use of space. We had a lot of contact throughout the project, and knew what to expect at every turn. We absolutely adore the finished results.

We contacted George about a custom hutch (our apartment had a curved wall, so off the shelf furniture doesn’t work well). George came out, and was very excited about what was possible in our entry way closet (which was not using the enormous space very efficiently). In the end, George and team built us a gorgeous custom hutch, and a new built in entry way closet / storage shelving system. George and team were wonderful, we could not be happier with the final product and process.

We recently commissioned Urban Homecraft to design, build and install a ceiling height bookcase and a wall-length storage cabinet in the foyer of our West Village apartment. As veterans of other renovation projects, we are aware of the pitfalls in terms of mutual understanding, timelines, budgets, relations with subcontractors etc. We could not have been better pleased with Urban Homecraft. George Evageliou has developed an admirably clear step-by-step process which governs the whole process: what is to be delivered, when and at what cost. Execution was admirable from the design consultation process down to the end installation. Quality was excellent. Timelines and budgets were scrupulously observed, the installation crew was dependable and expert, relations with subcontractors including for some complex electrical and stonework components were seamlessly handled. We are very happy with the results. We have no hesitation in recommending George and his firm.

We did two projects with George and the Urban Homecraft crew. First, a set of large, walnut built-in closets, covering the entire wall of a large bedroom. These are stunning. Everyone involved was professional, punctual, and skilled. The crew was flexible with my timeline and responsive to my own ideas and wish list. They even came back and designed drawer dividers for my largest drawers (I am not great at keeping things folded) that keep everything tidy. This team took the TIME and was careful. NO MISTAKES. they measured and measured again, they really care. The price was VERY fair considering the work they deliver. WE went right ahead and asked them to design a closet for my son's small room - where there was no storage. Again, gorgeous results: built-in laundry hamper, slide-out shelves for shoes. Gorgeous bright, warm maple finish. And a great price. His room went from "nice" to "stunning" with this gorgeous carpentry.

George and his team absolutely killed it from the initial consultation to the final installation. We hadn't had custom cabinetry done before and they walked us through every step of the process. It was seamless. Not only is the final product beautiful, but they completed the installation an entire month ahead of schedule! I couldn't recommend Urban Homecraft enough. Top notch service in every respect.

Working Urban Homecraft was one of the best decisions we've ever made. What was supposed to be an exciting time of buying and moving into our apartment turned into quite an ordeal once the pandemic hit. Our place desperately needed additional cabinets and space optimization but given the circumstances, we were at a standstill for longer than we ever anticipated. After months of searching for the right fit, we came across Urban Homecraft and their work spoke for itself. Our initial consult was done virtual, but George was extremely thorough and listened to our concerns and ideas while providing suggestions. Once we got the ball rolling, George and his team visited the space in person while adhering to every COVID safety protocol. Initially, we were told that our project wouldn't be done until the end of October, but eventually we got the best surprise and were able to get it done earlier than expected. It sounds corny to say but his team changed our lives. After months of frustration and living out of boxes with stuff everywhere (while working from home,) we finally got the home we'd been waiting for. We had an idea of installing a desk for the bedroom and UH was able to translate our idea seamlessly. It looks sleek while being functional. Same for our kitchen cabinets and built in closets. Living in an NYC apartment, you have to be smart with how you optimize your space - and Urban Homecraft knows exactly how to do it. PS, their install team were great too! Extremely thorough

We had an excellent experience with George and team designing and building a large built in cabinet in our living room. George made thoughtful recommendations on the design based on our feedback and desired use of the unit. His team developed detailed drawings and turned around our comments in a timely manner. All milestones were completed within the time periods communicated. The installation crew was very professional and executed the build out flawlessly. We couldn’t be more satisfied by the results.

We cannot say good enough things about the bookshelves the team built for us! Professional from start to finish. COVID-protocols taken seriously. And a beautiful, functional product. Everyone who sees them wants them for themselves! They've really made our den into the most beautiful room in our house. Would hire them again in a second--we're thinking about what else we need just so we can!

Communication from beginning of project throughout was fast and highly professional. Expectations were managed and project manager was patient and thorough with all drawings. Install was timely and clean. They were able to provide additional work outside of millwork including: electrical, HVAC, hanging tv and stereo components that were seamless, patching and painting. Finished product was exactly how it was drawn and shown in the material samples. Incredibly satisfied with the job and the business. I would highly recommend for any project large or small.

George & Urban Homecraft have completely transformed my apartment. Twice. We were so pleased with the work done in our previous apartment that we called on Uban Homecraft a second time after moving. During the design phase, the team is collaborative, meticulous, and extremely creative. They take pains to ensure that they have a thorough understanding of your needs before developing a communicative set of drawings and renderings for critique and revision. As far as the work, the install teams are professional, efficient and neat and the end result is beautiful. We've referred several friends and neighbors and they always come to the same conclusions. I can't recommend George and his team highly enough!

The Urban Homecraft team was such a pleasure to work with. They are extremely professional, attentive to every small detail, work very quickly and discretely in your home and leave the space extremely clean after each work day. We were blown away by their excellent customer service as well, checking in with us throughout the duration of the project from conception to execution to make sure we were updated on their progress and to see if we had any questions. We highly recommend working with them, by far one of the best experiences we've had and we adore the final result of our bookcase / TV unit!
