Urban Oasis Design & Construction LLC

We originally sought out Urban Oasis Design & Construction to replace 3 large decks (~1500 sq ft). When Trevor (deck and hardscape construction) came out to give us a bid, he stood out from the competition because he was genuine, friendly, asked good questions, provided valuable feedback, showed genuine interest in our goals, and flagged a few challenges that would require additional consideration. After our initial design consultation with Carrie and Sarah (landscape designer), we decided to have them also rework the beds and pathways surrounding the decks (doubling the scope of work). We worked closely with Trevor, Sarah and their crews throughout the project, and it was a great experience! They designed and installed three large decks requiring engineering, drainage, replacement of two 12-foot tall telephone-sized poles supporting our breezeway and massive 8-foot deep footers to satisfy Geotech requirements. They also designed and installed the landscaping around the decks which included new plantings, a water feature, irrigation system, lighting, re-build of a large planter, redesigned firepit area, gorgeous flagstone pathways and steps connecting everything. They also re-graded our driveway for better drainage, installed a dry space under one of the decks, and created custom housing for our pool equipment that helps maximize the views from one of the decks and keeps the equipment out of sight. Our project was completed in three phases spread over a couple of years and was filled with lots of twists and turns that were handled with skill and integrity. They are professional, fun to work with, and great problem solvers! They helped us maximize our views, got our plans through the maze that is permitting, and most importantly, created beautiful, solidly engineered spaces we love to use! Communication is key for these kinds of projects to work well, and they excelled in this department. We really appreciated the in-person site visits with Trevor and Sarah for status updates and questions. Their willingness to listen to our questions and problem solve with us is a rare find and resulted in some of the unique features we now enjoy. Sarah provided written recaps of our meetings and consistently followed up on requests and next steps. She also put together a plant list for us with links to information about each plant’s care - nice touch! Carrie was great at keeping the project and billing on track, providing change orders to the contract and emailing updates on their status. Absolutely, fantastic people to work with! We would definitely hire them again, and we highly recommend their services to anyone wanting to create a beautiful outdoor space they will love – especially if your project has unique challenges that requires creativity, engineering, craftsmanship, and reliable execution. Urban Oasis recently designed and completed our backyard renovation, and we are thrilled with the outcome! We wanted a beautiful space to enjoy and a secure area for our dog to play, and Urban Oasis delivered on all fronts. They provided a range of design options that suited our needs and budget, guiding us through the decision-making process with expertise and patience. Throughout the project, the team was incredibly responsive and always on time. They managed every detail meticulously, ensuring everything was executed perfectly. We hired Urban Oasis to do a complete overhaul of our front yard, after having a tree fall incident destroy much of it. There also was a dated look that we had been wanting to rehab for the last few years. From start to finish, they really did a superb job. Great knowledge, very good with communication, always responsive to calls/questions/email inquiries, and stayed on time throughout the project. This project included removal of several large rocks/boulders, installation of a large retaining wall, a complete reworking of our sprinkler system, some concrete work, and some steel edging. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience. The team of Carrie, Trevor and Sarah worked really well together!

We had the pleasure of working with Trevor, Carrie, and Sarah through Urban Oasis (UO) on a big backyard remodeling project this spring on the Eastside. We started the design process last year with UO, but decided to wait on construction until March 2024 so that we wouldn’t have construction in our yard over the summer. We were removing a patio, building a new Trex deck, adding an outdoor kitchen, a structured pitched roof, a hot tub, landscaping, and turning a bay window into a large entry with a bi-fold door. We also are located on a greenbelt that had strict set-backs, so we had to contend with permits and some challenging engineering. With that in mind, I cannot say enough good things about working with this firm. Trevor was hands on and responsive with our questions through the process. Personally, I appreciated UO’s aesthetic perspective. While they offered us plenty of choices in design and materials, I loved being able to trust their opinion based on what they have seen work in the past and the particularities of our property. Even when Trevor wasn’t on site, UO’s carpenters were skilled and knowledgeable. They were always willing to stop and talk us through issues as they arose, or to provide recommendations on design choices. We definitely had some issues come up–it would be hard not to have them with a project of this scale–but UO was consistently willing to work with us to find a solution. For example, a small side window was cracked during the process of moving some lumber into the yard, but UO took full responsibility for the issue and had the window repaired quickly. We really appreciated working with a design and build firm also because it meant 1. They had a network of contractors and referrals in place for us when we needed electricians, gas plumbing, painters, etc, so we didn’t have to find additional vendors on our own; 2. They had a strong sense of what materials would work best in our space and could point us to trusted brands; 3. We could adjust design as it was evolving rather than be stuck with an initial blueprint that was hard to imagine until it was put into place. We also felt each member of their team had a strong sense of craftsmanship and wanted to create the best product possible. Because of that, they would re-do things or make adjustments rather than cut corners or find short-cuts. I loved that they seemed to care as much about the outcome as we did! In sum, we had a fantastic experience working with UO. As promised, our deck was ready to go by Memorial Day 2024. They delivered on all of their timelines, worked with us when issues arose, and created something truly spectacular for our family to enjoy for years to come.

Urban Oasis did a beautiful job with the design and build of my project and I recommend them without reservation. They constructed a partially covered 2 level deck and terraced my very sloped back yard, including pathways on 3 levels and a beautiful waterfall. The craftsmanship of the building and artistry of the stonework for the terracing and waterfall are excellent. It was a pleasure working with Carrie, Trevor and the whole construction/landscaping crew. Note about photos: I am an avid gardener will be completing the planting of the area myself.

We had a great experience working with Sarah, Trevor and the rest of the team at Urban Oasis. They did a complete remodel of our back yard, including the installation of a large, louvre-roofed pergola. The design was great and all the people working on the project were professional and pleasant to work with. Although the project took rather longer that anticipated, both to get started and to complete, we are very happy with the end result.

I cannot recommend Urban Oasis enough. Urban Oasis did a complete backyard renovation including a firepit, pergola, outdoor kitchen and extensive paver patio plus updated landscaping and grass in both the front and backyard. Trevor, Sarah, Carrie and the entire build crew were incredible from design to completion. The team actively listened to what we wanted and diligently worked with us to deliver the vision and within our budget. The team consistently went above and beyond through the initial design and throughout the build. They even deeply evaluated a different pergola options that we initially thought we wanted to use and presented multiple options. They are true craftsmen. The final product has surpassed our expectations and we are so excited to enjoy our new backyard for many years to come.

Urban Oasis did an excellent job replacing our deck/patio, adding a remote operated louvered cover, and building a new shed for us. They are easy to work with, professional, communicate clearly and finished the job on schedule! They adapted to changes and unforeseen issues really well and we always felt like they were giving us honest guidance whenever it was needed. Their crew is skilled, clean, and friendly. The quality of the work is outstanding, and we couldn't be happier. We've been through various home remodels, and this was by far the most enjoyable experience. High quality work and care and detail in the design. Carrie, Trevor, Eduardo and the crew were great, especially when the project work itself got underway. Adverse weather and some projects ahead of us drew the lead time out from design to project start a bit, but the wait was worth it! As we entered the final phases we had to make some in-the-moment decisions, Carrie took great consideration and Trevor provided some awesome options then they got the team to work in no time. Design through construction was a priority for us and Urban Oasis is top notch!

We absolutely love our new outdoor space, snd can't recommend the crew at Urban Oasis enough. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is superb, and navigating a big project like this through COVID and supply chain back ups was no easy feat, but Trevor and team were highly communicative and trustworthy the whole time. I've already recommended Urban Oasis to close friends, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again, they're best in class.

They are extremely professional very clear with recommendations, timeline and design. The team is friendly, respectful and very thoughtful when issues/decisions come up. Most importantly they do fantastic work. We’ve done two major projects with them and will use them for the next project as well.

I thought their pricing was fair for the value of work that they performed. They were slightly over their initial timeline, but not all of this was their fault. We contacted Urban Oasis in September 2021 after a few months of casual research into thinking about our small backyard, which was incredibly sloped and consisted of a concrete plat in the middle of sod that our builder threw together before we moved in (pictured at the end so you can see the "before"!). Our consultation happened in early November of that year, and after chatting with Carrie about their process, we moved forward with the backyard design process. In March 2022, Sarah and Carrie went over our designs using the "room" analogy and creating distinct spaces with function. We originally wanted something built off our house, but Renton city code would not allow that given our backyard size, but after some checking with the permit office, Sarah came back with a covered louvered structure proposal that we ended up loving that also allowed for construction without needing permitting, fast tracking how quickly we could start construction. As construction started in early August, Sarah continued to be our project manager (along with designer extraordinaire, she can do all!), checking in with us weekly to ensure we were kept in the loop about everything happening (including a surprise find of two septic tanks that ended up being storm water drainage) and being the go-between crews. We chose a design that allowed us to maximize running space for our kids through turf leading into a composite deck, then a lower covered patio with the louvered structure and fire table. We also maximized the amount of "usable" space in the backyard while still allowing plenty of space for local vegetation, and seriously could not have imagined as gorgeous of a backyard as we ended up with. Super small: the only "con" is that they don't have online payment options, that would've been significantly more convenient than sending large checks through the postal service, which made me a little nervous. We now use our backyard more than ever (even in the rainy season, since we have a covered structure and also a fire table to warm us up if we need!), and our entire backyard can be utilized now instead of the small plat of concrete that was there before. We're so grateful to Urban Oasis (and especially Sarah, who is the greatest!) for our gorgeous backyard.

Urban Oasis did an amazing job resurrecting a very small backyard space into an amazing new outdoor retreat! A great design and within our budget, the deck, fence/wall and landscaping were outstanding. Trevor led the construction and did a great job communicating progress, changes and new options as the project progressed. I'd highly recommend Urban Oasis for any landscape construction job you may need.

Right away from our first meeting with Urban Oasis, we felt heard. Carrie and Trevor took detailed notes and asked many questions about our vision and how we wanted to use our space. Our yard is small, but primely located, backing to a green belt and walking trail on two sides. The designs Urban Oasis created, made the most of our lot. They maximized space in a new patio area, where originally, we had a deck that cut the yard in half. Our new second story covered deck is positioned so it really feels like we are sitting in the middle of the woods. We have nicknamed this area “The Lodge”. Once the project started, we were regularly updated on progress through weekly meetings with Carrie and or Trevor. All changes were recorded and signed-off on with a change order form. We appreciated that the project was a growing, living, creative endeavor. We feel like the final results were the absolute best possible outcome and they miraculously stayed on schedule even through Covid restrictions. The crews who did the work for both the patio and deck areas were first class. Valentine was the crew leader for the patio side of the work. His attention to detail and craftsmanship was extraordinary. At the end of each day, he and his crew made sure that everything was cleaned up and stored away neatly, so in the evenings it did not feel like we were living in the middle of a construction zone (even though we were). Those courtesies made 5 months of construction more bearable. Nathan was the crew leader for the deck side of the project. He was very accommodating and receptive to questions all through the project and incredibly knowledgeable. When city inspectors and outside contractors came through, each of them marveled at the level of exactness and craftsmanship put into this structure. Several of the contractors who work with multiple companies commented to us that they can tell a marked difference in an Urban Oasis project compared to some others because of the precision and quality of the structure. They do not cut corners and there is obvious pride in their work. I still cannot believe something so beautiful is right here in my back yard. We are out grilling 2-5 days a week now, even through the winter. In January, there is no better way to end a hard workday than snuggled under an electric blanket, with the fire going and the heaters on full blast, listening to the rain come down and a nice glass of wine or hot tea in hand. Almost every morning this summer, I have eaten breakfast out on the deck, listening to birds sing as the sun peaks through the trees. Seriously, Living. My. Best. Life. We have gone through a kitchen, ground floor and two bathroom remodels. Out of the three companies we have now worked with, Urban Oasis was the most organized and creative with the best attention to detail. They got things right the first time and we were always in the loop so there were never any unexpected surprises. We highly recommend Urban Oasis!

We highly recommend the wonderful Urban Oasis team! Although things worked a little differently due to the covid era (no onsite visit before designs were drawn up), we worked together to come up with the perfect design for our backyard space. We wanted a lot from our small yard, and with the help of Carrie, Kathryn, Trevor, Nathan & team, achieved an incredibly functional and beautiful result. Trevor was great at communicating what was happening throughout the 6-week construction process, and at times we came up with solutions, compromises, and small changes together. The team were flexible when changes were required and easily adapted by adding a little extra work to the initial contract. We are absolutely in love with our back deck and yard space. If you want a smooth process from design to construction - you can't go wrong with the Urban Oasis team. If they're booked up - just know they're worth the wait!

We worked with Carrie and Trevor to design and build our outdoor living space. While the project start was delayed due to the pandemic, it was a pleasure to work with them through the whole thing. The quality of workmanship and ability to manage the inevitable changes made working with them really easy and we are loving the end result.

Carrie, Trevor and their in-house team recently completed a beautiful outdoor living area in our backyard. The process started with an on-site meeting to familiarize them with the space and discuss the design elements we were most interested in. The design team came up with several alternative concepts and after several iterations the design was finalized and the construction team got to work. The work crews were staffed by friendly, skilled craftsmen who genuinely care about the quality of their work. There were weekly meetings with Carrie and Trevor to discuss progress and address any questions or explain the reason for the occasional delay. Any changes to the design were documented in a change order prior to being implemented to avoid any confusion. The new outdoor living space is everything we had hoped for and more.

Every time I look out my window, I still can’t believe this is my backyard. Whether we are sitting by the waterfall, relaxing in the covered area, or cooking on the built-in grill, my wife and I often comment that we never thought we would have a backyard that looks this nice. And we owe it all to our decision to work with the folks at Urban Oasis. They walked us through the design process to come up with concept that we didn’t even know existed for back yard landscaping. Trevor and his team’s obvious expertise provided us with numerous options to fit into our budget. When the work started, the Urban Oasis team was prompt, courteous, and meticulous in completing their work. I remember watching one of the guys lay pavers and the attention to detail was amazing. What looked perfectly level to me, was clearly not up to his standards and he continued to add/remove sand until each paver was set perfectly. We highly recommend working with Trevor and his team at Urban Oasis. They have experts at every level, from the designers, to the builders to the landscapers. They’re trustworthy, prompt, highly skilled and dependable. We could not have had a better experience.

We hired Urban Oasis for a covered deck project with a built in grill after researching several companies. The pictures themselves can write the review of the project. The craftsmanship is truly excellent! The project was around 11 months total from design to completion. While that sounds like a long period of time, this was in the city of Seattle, and permitting can take a long time. Our designer provided us four great plans to chose from. We picked a design went into engineering and permitting. When it looked like the city was indicating long delays onboarding, Trevor went down to the planning office to advocate, and got the project in review and passed before the city had planned to start reviewing. Construction went well. The crew kept the site clean. We managed to complete without any change orders needed. When we figured out grading might be an issue, they came up with a beautiful and creative fix to blend it into the yard. We love our deck! Highly recommend Urban!

Carrie and Trevor completely transformed our property into a true oasis. It was a total re-imagination of the space from overgrown/cramped areas to an open contemporary garden perfect for outdoor entertainment. Carrie immediately "got" what we wanted and quickly provided us smart design options that also morphed into a unified approach---it was painless and in fact a pleasure. I had the pleasure of working with Carrie Culp of Urban Oasis in August of 2018 when I was engaged to photograph one of their recently completed outdoor living space projects. I photograph a lot of outdoor living areas and I noticed a remarkable level of attention to detail and quality of workmanship throughout this project. I give Urban Oasis Design the highest recommendation without hesitation and would personally use them for my own home.

This is my second attempt at writing a review. Carrie, Trevor, and their carpenters and crew are professionals. She didn't give me the lowest quote. She gave me what I really wanted: she and Trevor listened to what I had in mind. We went from what I wanted to what I wanted to pay for; the design was altered but also with nice design. The work was scheduled for a couple months out so I had some worry, but not for cause. The work commenced on time. The crew tried to minimize our disruption. The work quality is outstanding. My highest praise: competent, candid, and I would use them again. But, I hope this is my last project. :)

From the first meeting, through design & construction, to final walk through, the people at Urban Oasis were great to work with. They captured my design ideas and enhanced my vision with their expertise and familiarity with methods and materials. Additionally, as a “design/build” firm, Urban Oasis could ensure that the design intent was carried out in the construction, which is managed by Trevor. This is another reason we selected Urban Oasis; they oversee the project from start to finish, providing excellent customer service at every step along the way. You hear about a lot of contractors that disappear during the construction phase, or who are hard to reach. Urban Oasis, on the other hand, is highly responsive to questions and meets with you once a week during construction to go over progress, discuss any issues, and answer any questions. Their level of customer service and attention to detail is second to none. I was impressed with how closely Carrie and Trevor monitored the progress of construction, ensuring that every step met their high standards. I could list dozens of other reasons why we are glad we hired Urban Oasis. In the end, we have a beautiful outdoor living space that will serve us well for years to come. We’re thrilled with their work and would recommend Urban Oasis to anyone.

Carrie, Trevor, and their team are expert in this field. What sets them apart from other companies we consulted, is their tight communication and integrated approach throughout the design, permitting and construction process. There will always be unexpected occurrences in any project. It is important to select an experienced team that has "seen it all before" and is able to adjust quickly and efficiently with a minimum of disruption to cost or schedule. Urban Oasis is that team. We had a challenging lot that required 3 retaining walls in the front. The design and winding staircase created an open, inviting ambience to the front of the house. Carrie suggested excellent choices for the plantings, took us to the nursery and incorporated our choices into the landscape plan. The work crew was fabulous. This company combines the landscape architect with the construction team. We found this design/build approach an advantage. The company is expensive but well worth it.

Our back yard was a mess, a large space that we knew could be transformed into an amazing outdoor living space. After meeting with several contractors, we picked Urban Oasis. One key reason was Cory. She really stood apart from the others contractors. Her professional and cheerful nature made it really easy for us to express our ideas. Together we arrived at a great plan for our back yard incorporating all the design elements we discussed. When the construction work started we were equally impressed with the professionalism of the crew that did all the work. Trevor and his crew were amazing. They answered all our questions and walked us through every phase of the construction. My wife and I realized quickly that they were true craftsmen who loved the work they did. I highly recommend Urban Oasis to help you meet your dream renovation. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for and they were worth every penny!

We started working with Urban Oasis for a large yard renovation project. We first met in September 2016 but did not receive design and quote options until early January 2017. During our 2nd meeting in early October, we gave Carrie our budget. When we received the project design options it was 2.5 to 3 times over our stated budget. Further discussions ensued to see how we could bring the design to even close to our budget requirement. There was not much thought on the part of Urban Oasis to how this could be achieved...just that we could take this out or that out of the plan. In the end we paid a substantial amount for designs that were worthless to us given they were so far over our budget. The good news we since found a recommended firm that were able to work within our budget and have done a great job.

Carrie designed a beautiful backyard for us, and we appreciate that she helped us cut some corners to stay near our budget. We had previously been working with someone and couldn't seem to get a design that worked within our means. She understood how we were going to use our space had some great ideas. She and Trevor are knowledgeable and easy to work with. The crew was fantastic and cleaned up every day. They are busy, so the schedule got moved back a bit. But once the project got started, they were quick and finished before they estimated. We are looking forward to years of enjoying our steel planters, fire bowl, espalier apple tree, patio, dog turf and much more!

Urban Oasis did a good job on the project. The design process was outstanding, They truly designed what we asked for and made adjustments as needed. Construction was longer than anticipated, they have a small crew but do very good work. Sub contractors were paid independently, which was good but left a fairly large piece of the budget out of the estimate- all subcontractors recommended did a great job. Urban Oasis responded quickly when there were issues to resolve and made sure we were 100% satisfied. I would recommend Urban Oasis, the estimate and design process were very smooth. I would get sub contractor estimates in advance to better understand the total budget and have a schedule of on site visits with Trevor and include the sub contractors on the site visits. I highly recommend the Infratech flush mount heaters in the ceiling-they give off great heat and are beautiful although they did require extra electrician work. The metal panels to hide the A/C units turned out even more beautiful than I expected- Carrie and Trevor had great recommendations for the finishing touches. The Overall project resulted in a beautiful outdoor kitchen which we will enjoy for many years to come.

Project consisted of demolition of existing yard space, rebuilding retaining wall with granite rock, installing patio and turf to replace grass, and constructing fence. Main goal was to create dog- and family-friendly space. Fence outcome was fantastic, thanks to thoughtful work by carpenter and construction lead, although we had to figure out some design aspects of fence ourselves. Things we were not happy with, were taken care of promptly. In general, good attention to detail all around.

We worked with Urban Oasis for the design and construction of an attached patio cover to the back of our house. Carrie did a great job of listening to our requests and designed a handful of options for us. She was very patient through our process of new and changing ideas and was easy to work with. She made every effort to design our structure with a design and finishes that would match our home. We were impressed with both Carrie and her partner Trevor. When we finally had everything ready to go (after waiting a lifetime for permits), the construction process went very well. There were a few delays in the project, but the quality of work and the finished project was well worth the wait. We are so thrilled with our "new" backyard. It's amazing how much difference this structure makes. We went from a full-sun patio, to adding a new and improved living/entertaining area out back. We now have a great space and love spending time back there! We would absolutely recommend this company for both design and construction services. - My only words of advice: plan ahead with your project as they get busy quickly and you may have to wait a while to get your work scheduled, and know that they are not the cheapest company out there - but you get what you pay for, and we have a beautiful end result and couldn't be happier with it.

Carrie Culp and her crew at Urban Oasis added sparkle and perfectly proportioned architectural elements to my small yard. In our backyard, we replaced disgusting creosote timbers with stone. This was Carrie's advice, I took it, and I'm glad I did! What a difference the stone walls make. The crew are true artisans and paid close attention to details. Carrie designed a cedar "trellis" to replace the troublesome, canvas "marquee" covering our brick patio that we had to replace each year. The new trellis is stunning and beyond my expectations. We also had Urban Oasis replace our back porch and steps. It looks great! They fashioned a very clever cover over our back door in a very tight space. Now I can search for my keys and not get drenched! In our front yard Urban Oasis replaced some old, chipped, mossy, concrete steps with granite slabs. The stone stairs are a perfect choice for the age of our house (1924), and they are much more interesting than concrete. The crew was able to retrofit the granite slabs into an existing rockery. Carrie is a professional with integrity and good ideas. For our project she was prompt, followed-through on promises, offered choices, set reasonable timelines, responded to questions quickly, and came to the site often. The project was on time and within the budget. It's also important to note that Urban Oasis has it's own crew. Some of the crew have been with Urban Oasis for 10 years or more. Loved the design, especially of the hardscaping. Have received many compliments on their work. The team who did the work was very respectful and clean. A few of the installed plants died and had to put in new plants. A little bit of trial and error with the plantings.

Urban Oasis provided a well thought-out, detailed, landscape plan for our home. Plant recommendations and selections proved to be ideal for our objectives. In addition, the drainage solution has worked perfectly. The addition and placement of large rocks in the yard has perfectly complemented the texture we wanted in our yard. The men who performed this work were professional and thoughtful in the execution of the plan. To complement our yard, we had Urban Oasis upgrade our BBQ area with tile and a ventilation system. Our "hardscape" project involved replacement and re-design of our front entry, an area between our driveway and front deck. A planter bed bordered by decaying wood borders was removed and replaced with a raised bed contained by a low stone border; pavers were added to make the walk from the street - driveway - deck seamless. The project included new plantings also. Carrie and her colleagues were great to work with. She came up with an excellent solution to our unique needs and was always responsive to our questions. I especially appreciated her quick availability on email. Her construction foreman and workers were also inventive and adjusted to some small fixes needed very easily. Overall, we are thrilled with our end result. Our new planting area looks professional and beautiful ewith the plants Carrie picked. The cost was reasonable.

We hired this company to landscape our backyard, which was mostly a blank slate as it had never been finished during the house's construction. We were very happy with the process and the results. Carrie helped us work from a few general ideas to some concrete proposals, and oversaw the execution of the work. The end result, a new patio, fire pit, retaining and seating wall, and plantings, is exactly what we had hoped. Throughout Carrie and the team were professional and easy to work with. The project was a 500 sq.ft. cedar trellis patio with ThermoClear covering and LV lighting, attached to the home with new French doors for access. This is the second home I've worked with Urban Oasis on, and this project -- equally beautiful -- is tailored to this home completely. Abundant natural light, the rich scent of cedar, and the extensive natural beams are amazing. Carrie was skilled and patient with my HOA, and even more patient with me and my many questions and wants. She followed budget well, and nailed the schedule too. During the project, Trevor and the team stayed on top of things and were always gracious. If there's ever a 3rd home's project, I wouldn't consider anyone else.

We have worked on two different projects with Carrie Culp and Urban Oasis Design & Construction. She was wonderful to work with and we look forward to doing more projects with her. The first project we used her on was to replace a courtyard lawn with pavers and retaining walls. The completed the project on time and on budget. Her team was very professional and worked hard to make sure we were happy with their work. They even added a few extra’s we were not expecting. The second project they removed a brink retaining wall and replaced it with Corten steel. They had to keep 16 Colonnade apple trees alive through the process. The new steel retaining wall looks great and all the apple trees are alive and healthy.

We hired UO to replace plantings,,suggest new plants, and install and then repair a dry stack wall and build a stone walkway. Great ideas, really knowledgeable and responsive. Always on time for appointments, Crew was fabulous and the stone walkway is artistic. Overall we loved working with the UO professionals, Everything was outstanding.

If you are looking for someone who can provide the "complete" package, I recommend Urban Oasis Design & Construction LLC. They provided the landscaping design, irrigation plan and installation, all plants and planting, a lovely stonework pathway from the upper to the lower yard and Bluestone for the front entry. This was a big job for our newly constructed home. They needed to work with our home architect and his site plans, with the concrete prep and pour time-line and with our contractor to schedule grading, digging, planting, irrigation and yard lighting. From our first meeting in March 2014 to the finished project in Oct. 2014, Carrie Culp stayed in weekly contact with us, this was a big help and a big advantage for a project of this size. We are very pleased with the outcome; our neighbors love it too!

I hired Urban Oasis to design a backyard garden and install new stairs and stonework. After a very enjoyable design consultation, Carrie presented three designs and I selected one with no reservations. I went with her to the nursery to pick out additional plants (she incorporated much of the existing garden.) Old raised beds were replaced with a bluestone patio, and a long flight of uneven concrete stairs leading to the house from the street were replaced with granite. All of the specialty stone work was done with exacting attention to detail. I have been delighted with the outdoor extension of my old Craftsman bungalow.
