Virtuoso Builders

Mike and Molly were great. The experience with Virtuoso Builders was so good that I cannot fully explain it in detail. I have three examples of things they did which were exceptional, but really the whole thing was exceptional and we feel lucky that they selected our home as one of their projects. 1) We did not go over budget. We did a full house remodel and it was expensive. Their initial eyeball estimate was the highest eyeball estimate of all the builders we interviewed, and once they came up with the final cost of the project, it was expensive. During the demo, contingencies and adjustments had to be made due to unexpected findings. Once construction began, on the fly adjustments had to be made. As subs came and went, or as inventory changed, adjustments and change orders had to be made. The total overage cost of our adjustments was less than 0.04% of the whole project. When I talk to some of my friends who did whole house remodels, I hear about incomplete work and over budget costs and work not done to code. We did not have any of those problems. The work was done by the book, by spec, without shortcuts, and fully completed within budget. I thought that was incredible, given the size and scope of the project. 2) Even after our bill was paid in full, they came out to keep working. With our whole house remodel, we wanted to move back in but the project wasn't quite finished. The project was 99% complete and the home was livable, but there were a few touch ups that needed to be done. The draw schedule worked out in such a way that our bill was paid in full while a few things still had to be addressed. Even with the bill paid in full, we still hear from Mike and Molly every now and then about a few touch ups they want the painters or the tile folks or the cabinet folks to do. 3) They are responsive to any problems we have. Two days before Thanksgiving we had a problem with the vent hood. The next day Molly called Ferguson's and one of their technicians met Mike and their project manager at the house. They did a temporary fix to get us through the holiday, and the next week it was fixed. It's very easy to see where a shortcut could have been done to get the appliance to function adequately, but Mike wanted things wired correctly so that our repair would be durable and long lasting. He had the electrician redo some things, and all of this was done after our bill had been paid in full and I'm sure was done at a cost to them. By selecting Virtuoso Builders as our general contractor, we were (are) able to sleep well knowing that the job was well done, and that they will be responsive to any issues we may have in the future. The grace with which they handled obstacles and adjustments during the project really highlights their professionalism and integrity.

We are thrilled with the work Virtuoso did for us in remodeling our 1979 home. They took our master shower from a death trap and turned it into a luxury spa. Our new floors are exactly what we envisioned and make the whole house seem new. They worked with us by using exiting cabinetry and plumbing fixtures and helped us make selections that allowed us to stay in our budget. We are so happy with not only the quality of the work Virtuoso did for us, but the friendly working relationship made what can be a stressful process fun. Can’t recommend them more highly!

How blessed we are to have had Mike and Molly Sowrey do our renovation of our kitchen! It turned out even more amazing than we could have imagined! Wow! What a great experience. From my initial phone conversation with Molly to the end of the project I was very satisfied. Mike & Molly spent quality time with me walking me through the entire process and what to expect. They are professional and detailed but they are also very funny and I enjoyed being around them. The Trades they used to perform the work were also equally professional. The work they performed was beautiful. And, they were very respectful of my home. It was kept clean and neat the entire time. I lived in the house while the work was being completed. I had no issues at all. I will be using Virtuoso Builders again and I highly recommend.

Mike and Molly completed a kitchen renovation for our home in 2021. We are very happy with the end result. Their design and planning process is what lead us to pick Virtuoso Builders. We found the collaboration and communication to be excellent. We would definitely use Virtuoso Builders again!

Molly and Mike are the best! My kitchen and laundry renovation/add on was a big project, and I'm so thankful I found them and hired them. Their team of professionals kept us on schedule and my budget was always in my control. I appreciated the separation of construction and home space, so that my home space was not impacted by construction dust. It also gave me piece of mind during COVID, and I appreciated their team's attention to keeping everyone safe and healthy. As always with an older home project we a few surprises, but not too many, and their creative, practical solutions meant I didn't have to worry about much. I absolutely love my new space, with beautiful, quality cabinets, tile and appliances, and wonderful new lighting. Virtuoso brought my 1970s kitchen into the modern era, while keeping what I think is charming about the original style.

Molly & Mike Sowry, and the Virtuoso Builders team, are excellent at what they do. There approach to renovation and remodeling is very thoughtful, planned, and projected....in detail. During the construction phase the Virtuoso team respected our input, cared for our property as if it was there own, and always communicated clearly. Virtuoso Builders were recommended to us by our real estate broker as he had seen their work and was impressed. After interviewing 5 other contractors we went with Mike and Molly(Virtuoso Builders). We had them remodel our Master Bathroom . They did an outstanding job and so we had them also do our guest bathroom and complete Kitchen remodel. I had a family member use them for a bathroom remodel and you know if you recommend to family it better be good. It was. Their whole crew were professional, friendly and clean. Joe, their foreman,was in constant contact with us on a daily basis. Molly, one of the co-owners and artistic director was invaluable in helping us decide what to choose whenever a question arose. Mike, the other co-owner, made all of our desires materialize into reality.

We had no experience with remodeling and was overwhelmed by the process. Like others, we had a great experience with Mike and Molly. Right from the beginning, we have a good feeling about them because they started the conversation by finding out what our goals for the project were. Joe, the project manager was onsite frequently. They answered the numerous questions we had; and kept track on things that need to be done. Great communication throughout; and inquiries were answered in timely manner. We were unsure what we wanted for the master bath, Mike and Molly helped us consider all aspects and we are so glad we listened to them to make the final decisions. Mike and Molly worked miracles with our renovation job, and consistently followed up to make sure that our project was completed perfectly and timely.
