We did a major kitchen & family room remodel with Woodcliff Builders and we couldn't be happier with the result. We have done several "major" projects on our house so we had a good amount of experience with Contractors big & small, good & bad. Woodcliff was by far our best experience from the sales cycle to final walk through. I felt very comfortable with Woodcliff's sales team in terms of proper estimation & transparency with the project cost and timing - I really felt like I was dealing with an honest broker. Next, the Woodcliff design team was fantastic! The design and creativity brought by our designer ensured a great finished product which delights us each and every day. The construction team and especially our project manager were very good. We always felt totally comfortable having them in our house and always saw the same faces, which is very reassuring. And they were at our house working each and every single day! Finally, their craftsmanship is excellent and with the help of their trade-specific sub-contractors, we have a beautiful home. Highly recommend!

Their subs were all top notch, easy to talk directly to; Took feedback well, and any changes or modifications were well received. John and his teams were also very transparent about pricing and costs. Any changes or updates away from the plan were communicated and make clear to us what costs were incurred. I can confidently recommend Woodcliff Builders after going through a large remodel that included added square footage and ripping our home down to studs. From the in-house design that helped us come up with multiple floor plan options to the material selection and then the budget and permit process, everything was handled by the Woodcliff team to confidently hit the ground running once we received approval from the city. During construction, we got regular updates from the team via the Buildertrend app, which also included progress pictures. Our PM welcomed my frequent visits and used the time to talk through some of the finer decisions to ensure we were on the same page. Whether we had small changes requested or there were minor issues or tradeoffs, the Woodcliff team was always open with us and in the end provided solutions that’s were even better than the original design. I truly felt that they were focused on our happiness and were flexible, not looking to nickel and dime us. Our project was delivered on budget and very close to the estimated time, which was impressive given the amount of rain we had at the start. After we moved back in, Woodcliff was very responsive addressing a couple minor items and even took professional photos, which we got copies of. These projects are exciting, but can be stressful. Having Woodcliff to guide us through the process made it much easier. We love our new home!

It was a pleasure working with the entire Woodcliff team. We remodeled a house down to the studs, converted a garage to an additional bed/bath and permitted an ADU. The most important things to me are clear/frequent communication, well organized and high quality - they nailed every aspect. The design recommendations were right on point. Once permits were obtained, the project stays on schedule. Use of Buildertrend let me see the entire schedule so I knew what subs were working and when and I could see frequent photo updates (my renovation was 40 miles from where I was living, so I couldn't be there most days.) I am a super detailed person so I appreciated the fact that Woodcliff readily strives to make the results perfect. The team operates with high integrity and everyone is always easily reachable for any discussion or questions. Renovating can be stressful, but this was overall an enjoyable experience.

We have used Woodcliff Builders, Inc. three times! First, a major remodel of our kitchen/great room, porch, and exterior of our home. Second, for a hallway update and bathroom remodel. Third, to remodel our master bedroom and bathroom, as well as to update 2 more bedrooms. Woodcliff Builders have taken our 1958 house and built it into a stunning "new" home from top to bottom! Joey, Nina, John, Luis, Ponch and the rest of Woodcliff are as professional as you will ever find! From start to finish our experiences with Woodcliff have been nothing but fantastic! The employees they employ are experts in each of the fields they work in as opposed to other builders/remodelers who use a "one guy for all areas". They are dependable, honest, timely, GREAT craftsmanship, an overall wonderful experience from start to finish! In fact, we so highly recommend them that our next door neighbor has hired them as well as several other homeowners in our neighborhood. We are always getting asked who our builder is! We have been on both sides of the remodel spectrums.... We were once taken advantage of and had Woodcliff replace and repair all the shoddy work that had been done. The difference is unreal! If you want your project done right, then Woodcliff is the best option, it was for us!

Ours was a kitchen/Lanai remodel (many, many years outdated), bringing both to one open gorgeous, functional space for our normal weeknight cooking & entertaining. Their Team & subs were all so easy and great to work with especially, while living in our home during the process. They were very sensitive & accommodating to that. Everyone held excellent Customer service/communication, detailed in planning & budgeting. Even coordinating the subs for each phase was on point! One of the best builders in California, period. The key to getting your project done on time and on a budget (which is quite a task nowadays) is to have a proper system in place – from realistic scheduling and budgeting to effective coordination of multiple stakeholders – vendors, suppliers, inspectors, etc. And those guys have that system indeed. From the first moment of interacting with the Woodcliff team you will feel you are working with the best pros in the industry. Highly recommend!

I have had four different projects at separate times on our home. Some small, some rather large, from re-modeling the master bathroom, to a full add on of square feet and new kitchen. The last project we undertook was for a new remodeled updated laundry room, guest bathroom and family room. We had the great fortune of selecting Woodcliff Builders for this last project and are so very pleased we did. Our initial point of contact was John Fritze. From the outset, he showed us how his company was open, friendly, and very energetic. He stands by his word, coming through on all he promised. A rare thing these days. Starting from our initial idea of the scope of the work to be done, to the design team and office staff, like Nina, they were very approachable and helpful. More than anyone we used in the past. Always professional yet taking a personal approach to our project. The design team with Alex put time into learning what we liked, materials, colors and put together some great options for us to choose from. Making sure we would be satisfied with the end result. Plus saving time by ordering material ahead of time so they were sure to be available and ready to put in when needed. Once we signed the contract it was not a thank you and good luck. Woodcliff kept involved. At each step of the process, Woodcliff would continue to give us input on our ideas, both in ways that would make our home more efficient and modern. Best of all not all the ideas given would cost more or take more time. Some actually saved us a little of both. Our lead person was Tony. I could not ask for anyone better to manage our project. He showed up on site 98% of the time to keep track of progress and make sure things were done properly. His attention to detail was amazing. A lot of things he saw and made perfect were things I would never notice. His energy and bright upbeat personality made the job go by so much faster. The subcontractors they used were on time, efficient, hard workers and very skilled. I credit that to Woodcliff personnel that kept the schedule tight and on course. Best of all was the open communication at all levels if there were any questions or concerns. They would respond timely and be upfront as to any issues that needed to be addressed. Allowing us to make informed decisions. I give Woodcliff an A+ rating and highly recommend them based on our experience. They are our first call with any further projects we have in mind.

Woodcliff is a top-notch company, offering great service from start to finish - highly recommended in terms of quality and price. We came to Woodcliff with full plans and a Permit because another contractor's bid came in higher than originally quoted. When I met with John, he was confident that Woodcliff could complete our project for 15% less, and at the end of the design process, he made a formal offer that was right on target. Jessica is an amazing as a designer! Since our plans were already developed, she listened really well and just helped with what we needed: We were overwhelmed with the selection decisions, so she narrowed our choices to just a few options based on our taste and budget. In just a few weeks, the dreaded materials selection process was over! In addition to her excellent taste, she was a whiz on the 3D imaging software, quickly showing us how different options would look and making changes in real time during our meetings. Every meeting with her was a great experience and sold us on the company. Luis, our project manager, was also top notch. We developed a great communication system, mostly texting a few times a week, and since we were living in our house through the entire process, he always was one step ahead to let us know how each phase would impact our lives. He even texted with me on a rainy Saturday night to help with a broken tarp. Even though some of the sub-contractors were less reliable than others, Luis kept us on schedule and was flexible in his approach to get everything done on time. We especially appreciated Moises, who spent a lot of time at our house in the final stages, and demonstrated a breadth of skills as he finished many of the punch list items. There were only a few aspects of our experience that were less than ideal. First, in our drive to keep costs low, we chose the lowest quality drywall finish which we were told was "match to current" - when it came time to do the drywall, they showed us what it would look like, and it was not a match to current or at all acceptable, so we had to add $5000 to our project budget to upgrade. However, in response to our feedback, Woodcliff now has walls in their showroom to show clients what each finish will look like. (Side note, John was always eager for critical feedback and responded well by fixing each issue or at least acknowledging when they could have done better.) The other disappointment was a COVID-related delay that was somewhat out of their control. Two months from the completion date, we learned the garage door was delayed 18 weeks. I thought Woodcliff could have given us other options at that point, as they mentioned another vendor, so we were frustrated to have to wait. However, John was great in response to my complaints and made it right in the end. In summary, our 500 sq. fit. addition is super high quality, delivered close to on time during COVID, with great communication throughout. We would hire them again!

Woodcliff has been an excellent company for us to work with! When we initially began the search for contractors, it was a daunting task. Many contractors would not return our calls nor would they have availability to speak with us. Woodcliff answered our call right away and John provided us with an overview of the work to be completed and an initial estimate. From there, we began our design process with Jessica. Working with Woodcliff takes out the guesswork of having to find a designer, architect, or builder as they do everything in house! We found this especially helpful when we had to make revisions as their team is very fast, organized, and efficient. We have begun the construction with Luis as our project manager and can't express how happy we are with the work. Our project site has always been very clean and all the staff of Woodcliff have been incredibly helpful and professional. Take the guesswork out of remodeling your home and hire Woodcliff!

Woodcliff Builders is a professional all in one stop shop! We are in the process of having our house remodel and they have been nothing but great! Alex and Fritze have been nothing but patience have done their best to accommodate our needs. They are prompt and transparent. We had a very extensive Kitchen remodel that was done by Woodcliff Builders. We were extremely pleased with the outcome. Joey, Nina, John, Luis, Abraham, and the rest of the team did a great job. It was very easy to work with Joey and Nina and they were extremely resilient with us when new ideas came up that generated some changes through the course of the project. I found them to be highly competitive in terms of cost and time to complete the project. We would use them again for future projects.

At Aerial Canvas, we have worked on several projects with Woodcliff Builders - to capture their final product on photo and video. Woodcliff Builders exceeded our expectations. We hired them to coordinate design, pull permits and build our dining room addition. The whole process was smooth from estimate through closeout. Woodcliff's self perform crews were professional and accommodating of us living in the house while the project was going on. Their subcontractors were friendly and did a great job. Alfonso went the extra mile to keep the job site tidy and had a great relationship with the San Jose inspectors which helped them to beat the project schedule. I can't begin to explain how happy I am with Woodcliff. Our bathroom remodel turned out better than expected. The crew at Woodcliff are professional, courteous, and take pride in their work. They finished ahead of schedule and right around the original bid price. If that wasn't enough, the guys even worked around my infant's nap schedule to make sure they worn't making too much noise. I have already recommended them to several friends and family!

I enjoyed having Joey and his crew working on our house. We remodeled half our house, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms including the master bathroom. We stripped it to the studs and reconfigured the layout for them. Joey is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He worked with us through the whole process and kept us updated every step of the way. Whenever something couldn't get done something else would be worked on instead, there was rarely any lull in time on the project. Even when we added additional work after the project was established he was very quick to provide estimates and get someone out to do the work once established. I will definitely hire Joey again when working on the house.

I had my kitchen remodeled by Woodcliff Builders last Summer and I want to share my honest appreciation for Joey and his people for the wonderful job they had done. It was a major construction including moving exterior wall and some structural changes. Being a designer myself and pushing for some not always typical ideas I was never discouraged from and talked out of my vision. I could always count though on an honest opinion and great input. The quality of job as well as smooth delivery of it was more than I was counting on. I highly recommend this contractor!

We used Woodcliff builders to make our home remodel dreams come true...Joey and his staff did not disappoint. We remodeled our kitchen, living room, two and a half bathrooms and our outside exterior. During the process Woodcliff Builders were reliable, safe, clean and organized. The process was very smooth and during a few minor adaptations (on our part) his crew was flexible. Quite frankly our kitchen before was not only embarrassing but very unpleasant to work in. Now we practically say everyday how much we love our kitchen. We can say the same about our bathrooms. The subcontractors Woodcliff works with are excellent and professional too. I feel we received our monies worth and our home's value has increased tremendously. Even my father, a retired contractor was impressed with Woodcliff's quality of work. They know all the latest style's and were knowledgeable about installing a Wolf ventilation system on our roof! We are so happy with the results and would highly recommend Joey and him team at Woodcliff Builders!

We used Woodcliff builders (Joey Kochanski) to do our kitchen remodel in February/March of 2016. Joey and his crew were great. My wife stays at home with our kids, and was very comfortable with Joey's two main workers - Alfonso and Abraham - working in our house. They were friendly, professional, did great work, and were thorough in their clean up. Specifically they demo'd our previous kitchen while keeping the cabinets and countertops in tact so that I was able to sell them. They installed our custom cabinets, re-plumbed our island, and did pretty extensive electrical work to install under cabinet lights, new ceiling can lights, and move some outlets. There were a couple small things we wanted to be tweaked - I have a terrible eye for detail - and Joey was very understanding and came back out in short notice to fix to our liking. I shopped around to a few different contractors, and was very happy with the quality of work, responsiveness, cleanliness, flexibility, and fair prices of Woodcliff Builders

Joey and his crew did an excellent job for us. Working with somewhat sketchy plans from the designer, we were able to customize the construction in real time to meet the desires of my wife and me. This required some re-work here and there but Joey worked with us and did what was necessary. Since then, we have received many complements on the work that was done and we are very pleased.

after getting four bids from various builders, i selected woodcliff builders. the owner is joey kochanski. a young, pleasant hardworking individual, extremely cooperative. i have 2 story house and as my wife have a knee problem, we decided to build a bedroom with complete bathroom total 260 sf next to our family room. A grade quality work....completed in 11 weeks.... and within our budget. joey is very creative and all his own people and sub-contractors have good attitude.

Woodcliff Builders recently just finished a remodel on my master bathroom. They were very professional and did great work. Every person who came to work in our home was courteous and respectful. They showed up on time, and cleaned up each day. The job was completeted in a timely manner, and if there were any difficulties they were addressed and resolved immediately. Joey at Woodcliff Builders did a great job and is highly recommended. He was the general contractor for a kitchen and bathroom remodel for our busy office. The space was professionally designed and he worked extremely well with the design team to iron out every detail before the project began. Woodcliff Builders completed an amazingly quick and complete bathroom remodel. Joey quoted and stuck to his cost and time amount allotted. I even expanded the scope and they still completed on time. The job site was kept exceptionally clean and tidy and Joey was a lea sure to deal with each and every time we had a conversation.

I am not sure what to say about these guys other than that they are amazing. The have done a lot of top notch work around my house. Everything they have done has been flawless. I have an eye for detail, quite seriously bordering OCD and time and time again I am more than ecstatic with the work they have done. My house will be a work in progress for quite some time to come and I would not trust anyone else. It says something in today's world that I feel comfortable enough to leave them with a key to my house so they can do work while I am not there.
