“Ktichen renovation. First experience with remodeling. The Hahka team were professional and supportive. Designer Linda Billings was extremely accessible and helpful. Her suggestion to incorporate an island with the character of furniture is the statement piece that adds the "wow" factor to our kitchen. General contractor Randy Hahka very clearly has a personal interest in quality work. He strongly lobbied for the replacement of louvered pantry and laundry doors with doors that more closely matched the new cabinetry-although more costly, this was definitely the right decision from a design perspective. The construction team were skillful, friendly, honest and easy to work with. We did have a few whoopsies, but I understand this is par for the course with renovation projects and at the end, nothing was left unresolved. The team very clearly made great efforts to provide customer satisfaction. Job was not completed on time, mainly due to issues with pantry/laundry doors. Very happy with the results of our project.”

“I am a building designer and Schmidt & Schmidt Construction has built many of my projects. I have found them to be a very talented group to work with from office staff to construction workers. They do beautiful work from rough to finish. I have found them to be good problem solvers which can be very important sometimes in remodel or addition projects - not "how do I solve this?" - their attitude is always "here is the issue and this is how we think it can be solved". I my experience, they do excellent work at a reasonable price. I always look forward to working with Schmidt & Schmidt Construction.”

“The guys did an amazing job designing and remodeling my home. They gave me and my wife a new kitchen that we absolutely love. They re-did the stairs with these custom cable railings that look like falling rain. They did the fireplace and crafted their own live edge mantle. They did so much to our home it's too much to list. I sold it (for a huge profit thanks to Santa Barbara Builders) and now I live in Texas. I like them so much I invited them to come with me and build us another home. I really considered quitting the Army to go into business flipping homes. It's not everyday you find such a great contracting outfit. I can't recommend them highly enough.”

“My 150 year old house remodel went so smoothly, quickly and on budget with my contractor Mark Magid, owner of Below Magid Construction. He was so professional and creative, but even better, he made the process amazingly fun! Because we were not sure what we would find inside the walls or under the floors of this sweet old house, everyday was an adventure for me with Mark and his high qualified subcontractors. 5 layers of wallpaper, 4 layers of linoleum, oaks floors on top of fir floors, truly vintage kitchen cabinets, plumbing fixtures and electrical surprises were never a stress, more like an exciting challenge. I would email him a list of questions or ideas, and the same day Mark would answer me and arrive at the site to meet me with suggestions and answers to update but honor the historical value of my home. It's hard for my family and friends to understand that I enjoyed everyday of my challenging remodel!”

“Allen Construction did an excellent job on our condominium remodel in Goleta. They helped us through the entire project including the budget, design, and build phase. We combined our ideas and wants and worked it all into a manageable budget. Allen Construction managed everything with the utmost attention to detail and professionalism. We did the remodel remotely from over 1500 miles away but we were kept up to date on everything daily by telephone, Skype, or email. We are extremely happy with the entire process and result. Very professional company, with extremely polite workers that possessed incredible attention to detail. Remarkable craftsmanship and worked well with clients and other professionals. They accommodated all of our needs to have a successful photo-shoot. Helping to re-arrange furniture and providing cleaning equipment to wipe down windows and floors for some perfect shots.
