“We wanted a barn to store boats and cars with an upstairs area for the kids (between us we have six). The project started on time and finished very near the projected date. We changed a couple of things along the way so construction took a bit longer...but that was our fault not Porter Builders. The finished barn is exactly what we wanted! The guys on the job were respectful, listened to our needs and desires, and the workmanship is top notch. Pictures of the finished project (inside and out) are on their website. Porter Builders built our house on Torch Lake also and over the years have had them do various projects for us--remodeling a bathroom, putting a roof over the wraparound porch, and most recently (construction started yesterday) adding a small addition which will be a large family room with a flagstone patio and pergola off of it. Construction is to be finished August 10th. Ed and his guys haven't ever let us down!”

“North Shore is one of the few contractors that deliver in every way, they show up when they say they will show up, and they go to work and get done what they need to get done in a timely manner. The quality of work is top notch, they listen to what you want done and how you want it done, and deliver. The pricing is very fair and honest. They are extremely trustworthy and very respectful to the homeowner, protecting your home from debris during construction and cleaning up when finished. They also do a multitude things, so you don't have to have one crew do one thing and wait for another crew to do something else. For us they installed spectacular wood and tile floors, installed all our doors and hardware, finished all the trim work, as well as installing some challenging cabinet, and built a stone fireplace, all done efficiently and top notch. I wished I had discovered them earlier for exterior siding and trim, as the siding crew could not hold a candle to North Shore. I would highly recommned them without hesitation for remodeling and/or new construction.”
