“We are very happy with our bamboo home purchased from Bamboo Living Homes. Working with David Sands (owner and architect) we were able to modify the Polynesian 1294 model to suit our needs--split master, extended and screened in lanais. We were guided through the whole process and there were updates and photos of our house as it went through the building process in Viet Nam. The home went up very fast ( 4 days and it was dried in) and the finishing process went smoothly as David was available to help with any issues that came up. The craftsmanship and quality of the bamboo work is of the highest quality and we are very proud of our home. Going on two years now and we are so happy that we are considering another on our vacation lot here in Hawaii.”

“Will soon begin construction on our new house. All comments from the construction company's former customers pertaining to quality of work has only been positive. "He takes pride like the carpenters from the old days", is a comment I heard and agree with after seeing a completed project. Ease of communication with the owner and employees makes for a comfortable and trusting relationship. Also, the company's efforts and willingness to look into new products we are interested in allows us to make informed decisions as to including the new products or not. The company has made every effort to make sure, from the planning stages, that the completed structure will be our "dream house". The project manager has said numerous times that any changes, in spite of the delays that it causes, should be made to realize the "dream house".”

“I met John while at the permits department in Hilo; I was asking about permits, if they were on line as I live in Portland and will be building on my land in Hawaii, and wanted to be able to review them. John was one of two draftsmen/contractors there, that the city employee recommended. John is direct, honest, soft voice without drama, very competent, patient, creative, and does beautiful work. I feel very comfortable with John, turning this project of my 'back house' (which is smaller, that I may arrive sooner to the Big Island) and then the main house, I feel certain John will be doing a fantastic job as already he has proven to me he is very capable, cost concerned and has right connections and advice consistently. The re-draws were never a problem for him, the final revision was so exciting for me I cried with joy, and the reality of that it passed permits and I will be going to Big Island in a few weeks to meet up with John and put the marker in the exact location of the house that the building may begin is a dream of my lifetime that is here, come true, and I know how truly blessed I am.”
