We stayed on budget and my kitchen is the centerpiece of the house and the perfect Italian girls kitchen I wanted. Start to finish, done in four weeks, with minimal disruption to my active family. “Prime 1 was the contractor for our 800 square foot addition. They worked closely with us and with our architect to design an addition that met our needs and fulfilled the vision we had in mind. One of our concerns was that the addition should match the period detail of the existing house, and they took every measure to ensure that such was the case. Our foreman was great. You would think he was building the project for himself, because he paid so much attention to every detail. He was always willing to work with us to make changes and listen to our concerns at every stage of the process. The crew was very conscientious and made every effort to minimize the disruption to our daily routine. Space was tight for delivery and staging of materials, but they managed to work within those limitations with little problem. Prime 1 was also willing to let us take on as much of the project as we wanted to do, and they worked with us at great length to keep within our budget. They inspired confidence in us, offering sound advice from experience, and making the venture an enjoyable experience. The finished product is beautiful, and it has been a pleasure to use our new space.”

“I can't say enough good things about Steve Ott. But I can start with the most important thing - he is honest. In contrast to an industry that is infamous for dishonest people, Steve has always treated us with integrity. The best example of this is when we had a few issues emerge several weeks after the project was complete. Steve sent his team to resolve the issues in a timely manner at no cost to us. The next most important thing - the project was completed within the upper range of the original time estimate and within 15% of our original budget estimate (that includes unforeseen issues/expenses). Most people say their projects go WAY passed the timeline and WAY over budget. That's never been our experience with Steve (going back to my point about him being honest...he works really hard to get you the REAL price up front. He doesn't deflate the price to get the business and find a lot of "ad ons" throughout the project). Finally, Steve insists on quality. If something isn't done well, he will do it again. He did not like how the subcontractors installed our fireplace stone, so he personally came and laid the stone.”

“Marvista remodeled my 40 year old kitchen, replaced cabinets, counters, sinks, appliances, backsplash, and refinished the floor. Although the layout remained mostly the same, a few simple changes, designed by Marvista, created a cleaner line, more efficient use of space, and best of all, a designer look. I tend to get overwhelmed choosing designs and colors from the myriad options available. Marvista made all of that easy with their excellent guidance and good taste. The job took six weeks, the crew was professional, friendly, and pleasant to have in my home. I love my kitchen!”

“My wife and I lack the 'vision' needed to see the potential of an open space. A Google search led us to Pittsburgh Design and Remodeling, and we reached out to inquire about their basement design services. The design agreement consisted of an initial phone consultation, several 3D renderings (which were updated based on our feedback), and ultimately a neatly packaged pdf file with all of the information. Jeff (the owner) asked all the right questions to get the conversation started and paid close attention to our responses. He presented some interesting ideas that we otherwise would not have come up with. He is friendly, professional, and did exactly what we contracted him to do. We would highly recommend his design services. I should add that our agreement was for design services only. No actual work was performed on the basement so I cannot comment on that part of the business.”

“We used Action Builders for a two-story addition to our ranch home, adding a kitchen/great room, with two bedrooms, a bath and mud room on the lower level. They were very responsive and creative, making it possible for us to proceed with the addition without the benefit of an outside architect. Once they got started, they miraculously finished within one week of their estimated time frame. During the entire construction process, which included Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, there were only two or three days when the crew were not on the job site The addition is terrific and we are pleased to allow other potential clients to visit and see our finished product.”
