Design-Build Contractors & Firms Near Hammond

“I recently completed a full gut renovation of the bathroom and a kitchen refresh in my 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo in Chicago, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Angie Joy (designer) and Stanley (contractor). The bathroom project included removing the bathtub and replacing it with a walk-in shower, new flooring, cabinetry, lighting, paint — essentially a complete transformation. In addition, they completed a kitchen refresh that included painting, removing and replacing countertops, installing a new kitchen faucet, and updating the hardware. Both spaces turned out beautifully and feel completely upgraded. Not only was the quality of work excellent, but the project was finished ahead of schedule, which is almost unheard of in renovations. What truly set Angie and Stanley apart was communication and trust. I was not physically at the condo during the remodel, yet I always felt completely informed and confident in the progress. Their communication was clear, proactive, and consistent from start to finish. I also live in a building with a very strict HOA and tight security requirements, and they handled every rule, procedure, and restriction professionally and without issue. This alone was a huge relief and made the entire process stress-free. Angie’s design guidance, Stanley’s craftsmanship, and their shared professionalism and attention to detail made this an outstanding experience. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone — especially condo owners who need a team that understands logistics, building rules, and how to deliver high-quality work without hand-holding. If you’re looking for a designer and contractor you can truly trust, Angie Joy and Stanley are exceptional.”

“We used Chi Renovation & Design for our basement remodel (after a pretty bad flood), and am thrilled with how things came out. After we worked through the design aspects, it was time to get started on the build. When it comes down to it, the most important piece from my experience is working with a general contractor that cares, takes ownership of the project, and is fast to rectify issues that inevitably arise when renovating. I can safely say that Ron, who was the GC that managed our project embodied all of those qualities. I never had to prove to Ron why we may have needed something changed, fixed, or reworked; not only was he often already aware of it, he always took responsibility and got it done. He was always fair. Beyond that ownership, the subcontractors that work with Chi Reno & Design were excellent, especially the drywall and painter folks. Honestly, by far the best paint work that has been done on our house. To that end, the value of the work done was well worth the (reasonable) price. I am thrilled with how it came out, and my kids love playing down there everyday!”

“Jillian is one of the best in the business. Quality, integrity and delivery. She works, works, works and works until she surpasses your expectations. A delight to work with and always willing to think outside the box.”
