“JoJo was a God send! We hired an architect, and it was taking months for him to even get our vision on paper. Even simple requests were wrong when we’d get back the plans and we were really stuck with him. In a desperate attempt, I literally found JoJo via a Google search for good interior designers in Houston. I had no choice—but what a fortuitous decision that was. JoJo and her team came in and literally redrew the layout of our entire house making redlines of thr architects plan, maximizing space, prioritizing practicality, but also incorporating aesthetic features. Her team’s vision and creative solutions to improve architectural drawings demonstrate a good understanding of client needs, integrate artisanal interior design with architectural planning, and reflect a passion for design. She created a moodboard with all our favorite Pinterest and google images and created a slidedeck by room. My wife said "I can move into that house today" So, you can imagine how in 2 to 3 weeks JoJo and team turned things around. JoJo is also hardworking and messages with ideas, reviews, or catch-ups in the evenings and on weekends, which is conducive for working professionals to discuss “home stuff” without having to take time off work several times for meetings during regular weekdays. We are currently in the process of permitting and rebuilding, and JoJo is a great choice—I highly recommend her. I have come to realize that in home construction or remodeling, it’s not the talent alone but also the time, effort, and passion an interior designer invests in engaging with you on a project. “We have just finished working with the Alleanza team on an extensive home renovation project (> 8 months) and could not be happier. Like all home projects there were twists, turns and a few surprises. However for all phases of the project ( from planning to punch list ) we felt that we were treated fairly, honestly and whenever there was an issue, it was raised quickly, discussed and then we could work as a team with Alleanza to achieve the best outcome for our project. Shawn is a thoughtful and creative individual; he was always willing to consider different approaches to achieve success. Whenever there were bumps in the road, we always came to a compromise between the parties to do the right thing for the project and not just meet his goals. We completed a really complex renovation on time and on budget, which is rare! We love the outcome and couldn’t be happier in our new home… The quality of his contractors and subcontractor was extremely high and overall I felt I was in good hands. The finishes his team delivered were exceptional yet at a very reason cost… I also really appreciated Shawn’s ability and willingness to source and use lower cost alternates where it made sense ( after explaining the trades we were making and discussing the compromises that were on offer!)At no point in the project did I feel that I was given no option! Its also worth noting that his project management tools and budgeting / cost tracking/ invoicing approach provided real time visibility throughout the project so that there were no surprises and everyone was on the same page, nearly all of the time!! “Blum Custom Builders were a real life saver. I mean that literally. The recent winter storm wreaked havoc at my house with pipe bursting and a caving ceiling. Desperate I reached out to ARS with whom we have a service contract. They were a no show. One of our friends recommended Marvin Blum of Blum custom Builders. In spite of the heavy schedule Mr. Blum showed up at our door with in a couple of hours. They fixed our pipes immediately and got our water supply on. The next morning , as promised, his crews showed up to clear the debris. Literally in less than 3 weeks all the damage was fixed as promised. I would definitely recommend Blum Custom Builders to anyone considering any projects whether it a remodelling or building a whole house from scratch. I know who I would reach if I was building a new home.”
